I love this
Misunderstandings AU.
Hello every one!! It's been a hot minute. I've been lurking but not posting xD. I am currently too sick to move around d and do stuff but not sick enough to be able to nap the day away and still sleep at night so I have decided to try and write out the next bits of stories and prompts I got. I apologize for ramblings and errors I still have a fever right now. THIS ONE IS LONG ALL. IT GOT AWAY FROM ME!
I was trying to string some of my stray prompts together and got this:
the events of DP happened minus PP. Danny age 20 has settled everything with his ghostly rogues and now no longer goes out heroing as phantom. He is the ghost prince as he is not fully dead (and is planning on living his full human life first).
In order to get a new start, he moved to Gotham (it has the second highest ecto-system in the world after Amity and Lady Gotham was thrilled to host her future king) and spends his days doing volunteer work to help settle his primary obsession, and does work part time at the Gotham observatory to feed his secondary space obsession.
He has finally balanced his life between both worlds, his parents know and accepted him (though he did change his name to nightingale to get away from the Fenton notary), he is dating the two loves of his life (is it really long distance if he can teleport?) The GIW was officially disbanded a year after he graduated. Our boy is thriving!
The rest of team Phantom (and Fentons)on the hand went the other direction. Either full-blown heroes or antiheros/villains. And unfortunately to the outside world look like they are having a four-way fight over a civilian Danny who ran away from his villain parents/ex-lovers.
Back when they were younger, tucker with the unintentional help of Technus, managed to create a server that used the ghost zone as its base point. It is untraceable, relatively undetectable, and has service so good that it can literally reach different dimensions. So, when things ramped up during their third year, all communications, chat rooms, photos as well as accounts viewing other online sites went into this server.
This worked wonderfully for team phantom as "dead zones"(ha) and worries of hacking suddenly became almost nonexistent and the Fentons who had recently cut off all work with the government after Danny's reveal were looking for new ways to hide their (to be revised) life's work from the prying eyes of the government.
Danny, who had recently gained a huge spike in power due to him taking the crown of fire in preparation for his upcoming coronation as crowned prince, chose to drop out of high-school mid year due to the GIW being able to track him much easier anytime he left the house. While not ideal this actually worked out well for Danny(He switched to online school and finished with high honors)
Sam, Tucker, Valerie, and the Fentons seniors on the other hand were very VERY unhappy that their son/ex/boyfriend/friend was basically being put on house arrest for existing and began their individual plans to fuck with the government. (Jazz is also not happy but is currently at Yale studying to be a psychologist for children with abusive/dramatic upbringings and is stuck avoiding talking about anything out of the ordinary as she needs to use a normal phone to talk with Danny without a way to charge her Fenton phone. Jazz has also changed her name to nightingale, while her parents were a bit hurt, they did understand wanting to make a name for yourself without being compared to your already doctor parents)
Tucker has started to hack the government through GIW servers. Spilling out government coverups and trying to cause as much of a media government conspiracy shit storm for them as possible. He chose to go under the code name Pharoah, making a name for himself in the underground as a hacker as formidable as oracle themselves. He, after everything, moves to Star City to begin his own very successful tech business.
FRAIR Inc. Took market's by storm showing to be one of the most promising up and coming tech companies spanning everything from cyber security to edge cutting medical tech. To the outside world, his employees were practically ghosts (litterally in some cases), slowly creeping up on giants like Wanye enterprise and Queen Industries. Hands down one of the best places to work for, even if the CEO was occasionally found near some shady things,Mr.Foley was proven innocent every time, and his very loyal employees were getting sick of other companies trying to compare him to creeps like Luther. (Tucker still kept an ear on anything related to Danny on the normal human servers in case the GIW reared thier ugly head)
Sam, much to everyone’s surprise reached back into her rich roots and makes the name Manson something to fear. She finally sits down with her parents, and they talk it out. All of it, her hurt, their hurt, the fights. It takes more than one conversation, a lot of tears, but they do work it out. Because her parents at the end of the day do care about her. They want their baby to be safe and happy and successful in what she does, and after talking about the GIW and how they have been targeting her and her friends, she is clearly not safe! Her parents agree to teach her all they know about throwing their weight around in high class social circles and how to tear apart "untouchable groups" financially and socially so thoroughly that there was no hope of recovery. Sam for her part agreed to her some of her parents requests as well, she would start representing the Manson name and act like a lady in public settings, attending more high class social gatherings and parties (with the stipulation that she would get to dress and be herself, she could be both goth and high class! her mother agreed admitting that she did secretly love her Gothic prom dress she had made two years ago) she later takes over leading their largest company in metropolis spreading her reach into outreach programs and environmental protection. She is slowly becoming metropolis' most beloved socialite generally making life miserable for both Lex and Superman.
Lex because the anti-ecto laws were passed under the radar during his stint as president and superman because while it may have been proven that the JL was not in fact ignoring their calls for help, she is still hella salty about all the shit team phantom went through and is petty. Also, their fights keep causing pollution and property damage! Danny got that shit under control a year in and without training! Step the fuck up boy scout!
The Mansons are thrilled to be able to brag about at galas with how much their company has grown since Sam took over and how proud they are of their "little girl" and "how much she cares about the environment and the less fortunate" all pink and fluff with sparkly blinders on, all the while Sam is standing slightly behind them, quite, dressed to the nines in a Morticia Addams-esc dress, smirking like she would eat you alive in a board room if you so much as breath wrong.
The Fentons senor really didn't change to much. They did cut ties with the government and instead have moved to selling self-protection devices that protect against humans and ghosts! They are still researching ghosts but have taken down as much of their published works as possible for revisions. They have instead turned from wanting to catch ghosts to wanting to meet any ghost willing to talk with them about ghost culture and biology.
They also start to "accidentally" target any GIW that comes within 100 feet of them, claiming how "oh I though we fixed that bug" or "sorry our gun seems to be malfunctioning". This leads a lot of Amity to realize how often the self-defence gadgets could "malfunction" weird how they only seemed to do that around GIW agents.
Valerie was the only one to go the official “hero” route. Having put the pieces together in second year after meeting Dani. Finally working up the courage Valerie had confronted team Phantom about Danny being Phantom. All the lies were aried out from both side, both sides working out thier problems and apologizing. Team phantom for not telling her the truth after Dani, and Valerie for her now admittedly unfair blaming of danny for her lifes problems. Having spent the past year coming to terms with herself about what she was truly angry about. The betrayal from her so called "friends" the A-listers, the life changes she was not prepared for, watching her dad slowly wear down as bills built up. She had needed an outlet, a scapegoat, and at the time, it had been easier to jump on the Ghosts are evil then to accept that this was her life.
During third year, Valerie buckled down on protecting what was really important to her. Taking a job under Manson incorporated Valerie took over as Sam's "body guard", slowly taking over the "physical threat" of things for team Phantom. Angry about being ignored by the JL Valerie (with the help of some vindictive ghosts and Dani) was able to track down and interrogate one John Constantine.
Apparently due to several misunderstandings Amity had been marked no entry to any JL member but JL dark, (which fair, Valerie also did not wish to deal with a possessed superman) but due to Phantom having been seen throughout history (damn vlad for stealing the infamap) Phantom had been mistaken for an accident protecter spirit.
Which for anyone versed in magic, you don't mess with that uninvited. It would be like walking into the home of a God and telling them to thier face, "I don't think your good/strong enough to protect your home, move and let me do it", which is a really fast way to get killed. You don't enter there unless you are invited by the spirit or a follower of the spirit on their request. Most humans don't understand that, so while the calles were listed and JLD was put on alert, unless danny called himself, they would not enter.
After hashing out that that Phantom was not in fact an ancient, and that yes kids who had called them were followers asking on his request , a very panicked JLD meeting was called with guest Red Huntress acting as a mediator for what needed to be done.
Working with the JDL the Anti-ecto laws were destroyed in just under a year and a half and the Red Huntress being given an offical spot on JLD as a ghost expert/excorsit learning under both Zatanna and Constantine. (Much to the amusement of most of team Phantom and the begrudging acceptance of Sam)
For her civilian life, Valerie still works with Sam as her head of security. They are pretty much best friends but they fight like cats and dogs about everything (to them it is friendly bickering with a limial edge, to others these two look like they are about to throw down). No one understands how Sam has not fired her or why she has not quit, but they are almost infamous for both their "fights" and for being an absolutely terrifying team to fight against. Lex learned the hard way not to interrupt one of their fights.
You may be wondering how this becomes a known problem. In true Danny luck he has run into a bunch of different bats as civilians.
damian volunteers at the same animal shelter and is put with him every time due to danny finding his "fighting spirit" cute instead of intimidating. Damian has an odd respect for "Nightingale", and will sometimes ask for his opinion on matters. "I don't need advise, I just wish to see it from a different perspective"
Tim (under the name Alvin) ran into him at the park when he was having a bad day and somehow wound up talking with Danny because "sometimes it helps to talk to someone who doesn't know you, gives you a non-biased opinion."
Danny lives in crime ally. It's cheap and he feels at home with all the gun shots. Red hood is worried AF about the really nice and helpful guy who gives snack to his street kids and takes the working girls out on "dates" genuinely treating them like queens. The resonce "oh my parents weapons used to "mis-fire" all the time when I was a kid" was not what he was expecting to hear after noticing how calm he was after a gun fight broke out on his block.
Eventually, the bats realize that the person each of them have mentioned is the same guy, panic thinking that he is actually someone sent by an enemy, only to find out from. Oracle that no technically THEY are the ones stalking him because he was there long before they started showing up and they kept going back.
The bats settle only to panic again when oracle revealed that when double checking he background that he seems to be a run away from his crazy villan parents who are still calling him despite him not answering for three years and changing his name to get away from them. (danny keeps reminding his dad to use the "phantom network"to make calls. He keeps forgetting.)
There are multiple signs that her rival Pharoah seems to be stalking the guy all across his very limited social media, and after digging more she is pretty sure her guess on him being the CEO of FRAIR Inc. Tucker Foley Is true. More horrifying based off the very old social media that she found, Danny used to be very close friends with both Tucker and the ruthless Sam Manson who has been slowly causing both Lex Luther and Superman a media shit storm like never seen before.
After talking with some of their old classmates, it was confirmed that both of them were VERY possessive of Danny before he ran away.
Even more concerning, it seems the rumors of him having a very passionate fling with the red Huntress were true. Nightwing (because for some unexplained reason Red Huntress has serious onesided beef with the origanal members of the JL) had almost lost his head when he tried to casually bring it into conversation with her.
Saying about how if they so much as sniffed around Danny as thier hero "fursonas" she would personally see to it that the Wayne's suffered a long list of unfortunate incidents. She had left Danny to keep him safe and had enough trouble watching the "other four" that she didn't need and bats sticking thier noses where they didn't belong and dragging him back into the crazy.
Dick had come home shaken and with a new perspective and respect of the level of commitment Red Huntress had in defending her old flame. Like getting a job just to keep an eye on his other crazy exs and parents. Commitment. And maybe a bit obsessed holy shit, he thought the bats were bad.
The only safe one seems to be his sister, who left a year before he did, making daily phone calls and messages trying to convince he beloved little brother to get away from that crazy town and come to stay with her. She seemed to be the only one who Danny still talked to. (Ecto can make emotions more volatile, and as a therapist, jazz wanted to keep as many outside factors far away from her patients, meaning she still can't charge her phantom phone, its normal phone calls or nothing).
Danny is obviously to all of this 😀.
I may add small snips to this as it was a way to tie small scenes together. But yah. Again sorry for mistakes I wrote these on my phone! And fever is still a thing...
As always feel free to borrow/add on to this! Love to see where stories go, just tag me if you start a new post so I can read it please!!!
Take care! -Nutcase42

If you're game to write a cheese melt (Vlad & Dani father-daughter dynamic) ficlet, I'd love to read one. If not, that's cool :)
*vibrating with excitement* My friend. Your cheese melt art has been living rent free in my head for WEEKS. It's my sincerest pleasure to write a ficlet for this. I hope it's okay that it's an outsider POV, I just had an idea and my brain went brrrrrrr LOL
May I offer you a dysfunctional parent-teacher interview?
Parent-teacher interviews are always a nightmare, but there's one in particular that’s making Amity Middle School’s beloved Ms. Burnell sweat through her shirt. As the time slot nears, her gaze keeps flickering to the clock, her classroom door, back to her nervously interlaced fingers on the desktop.
It’s going to be fine. Perfectly fine.
“This one! Over here! Dad! This is my class!” The excited words, shouted in the syrupy sweet voice of a little girl, sets every nerve on edge, Ms. Burnell’s heart plummeting straight into the pit of her stomach.
Oh lord. Maybe it’s not going to be fine.
Her student comes bounding into the classroom, eyes bright and excited, oversized blue sweater sleeves slipping over her hands, even as she gestures emphatically for her father to follow. Black hair spills out of her ponytail, whipping across her face as she throws herself into a desk across from Ms. Burnell’s with a bright smile.
Her father, on the other hand…
The heel of his expensive Italian loafers strike against the linoleum as the man stops at the threshold of the classroom, cool gaze doing an assessing sweep of the space, expression crinkling in distaste as it does. He doesn’t say a single word, doesn’t make any move to actually step inside the classroom.
Ms. Burnell is the one who clears her throat, pushing to an awkward stand as she extends a hand out to the man.
“Hello, Mr. Masters. Thank you for making the time to come discuss your daughter’s education. I know you’re very busy.”
The man’s eyes slip to her outstretched palm, and for a motifying second, she doesn’t think he’s going to take it. When he finally does, he just gives a brief, cursory shake before swiping his palm off on his suit jacket and striding past her toward his daughter.
Ms. Burnell’s face is all kinds of warm, chest tight with embarassment as she fumbles back to her desk, trying to wrestle herself back into some kind of composure. Still, she barely looks up as she pulls out a folder with Danielle Masters scrawled across the tab.
“Dad! Dad! That one’s mine! Do you see it? Do you like it?” Danielle calls proudly, tugging on her father’s suit sleeve and pointing toward the paintings that are spread out beneath the windows to dry, paper wavy and crinkled.
“Oh, er. That’s actually a good place for us to start,” Ms. Burnell cuts in apologetically.
Mr. Masters gaze snaps from where he’d been examining his daughter’s project, over to her, brows dropped low.
“Why? Is there a problem with my daughter’s work?” The question is sharp, accusatory, and she’s pretty sure her soul shrivels up a little bit at the unguarded disdain in the man’s eyes.
Swallowing hard, sweat beading against the back of her neck, Ms. Burnell resists the urge to immediately take it back. Surely he can see the problem with the piece—isn’t going to make her say it?
It's too scary.
When his challenging gaze doesn’t waver, she forces the words out.
“Uhm. Well. It’s just. Not quite. Appropriate for a sixth grade class?” It pitches up into a question as she gestures vaguely toward Dani’s painting.
It’s a bit sloppy, the layers of paint caked upon each other, the lines hasty and uneven, but the scene itself is clear enough—a little, smiling, white-haired girl in the shadow of some kind of hulking creature, its skin blue, eyes red, sharp fangs bared as its cape flares out to take up the rest of the page.
Ms. Burnell almost set up an appointment for Danielle with the school counselor when she saw it, wondering if Dani felt like she was the little girl, trapped amongst nightmares and “monsters.” She decided against it for the time being, until she could speak with the girl’s father, but that’s proving rather unhelpful so far if the contemptuous way the man is looking at her is any indication.
“Did Danielle complete the assignment?” he asks finally.
“Uhm. Yes.”
“And adhere to the grading criteria?”
“Sh-she did,” Ms. Burnell answers reluctantly.
“Then I don’t see the problem,” he answers, finality in the words as his gaze turns to his daughter. He takes a much softer tone with her, brushing the disorderly strands of hair off her face, an absent domesticity in the way he straightens the ponytail gone lopsided. “I think you did a lovely job, dear.”
“Thank you! I used Alizarin Crimson,” she answers proudly, hair flopping right back into her eyes.
“Excellent choice.”
“Uhm. Well, there’s also the matter of Danielle’s conduct,” Ms. Burnell cuts in.
The man lets out an irritated sigh, arms crossing over his chest as he leans back against one of the desks, one ankle crossed over the other, unimpressed gaze finding Ms. Burnell once more.
“What?” he says, like it’s an inconvenience.
She swallows hard. “She’s been…uhm. Not getting along with some of the other girls.”
“That is so unfair, Mackenzie started it!” Danielle shouts abruptly, popping up to her knees on her chair, palms slapping down against the desktop.
“Well that’s not what Mack—”
The girl keeps going, cutting Ms. Burnell off.
“She said the only reason Eli agreed to play with me at recess was because Joshua dared him too, and I said nuh unh and she said yuh hunh, and I asked how she knew that, and she couldn’t even prove it, it was so obvious she was making it up!”
“Mackenzie told me that you said some pretty unkind words to her, Danielle.”
“Barely! I just said it was a bad look for her to be so jealous of me and just because she looks like she fished her outfit from the same trash bin she got her personality from isn’t any reason to be a jerk.”
Her father’s expression twists into a sharp smirk, amusement lighting his blue eyes, and Ms. Burnell thinks she’s starting to get a better sense of why Danielle is proving to be one of the most challenging students in her class this year.
“We treat people with kindness and respect in this classroom, Dani. Do you think what you said to Mackenzie was kind and respectful?”
“Well…” Dani’s gaze drops, expression pinching in thought, and Ms. Burnell thinks she might actually be getting through to her.
“It doesn’t sound as though this other girl was treating Danielle with kindness and respect,” Mr. Masters answers, the words coming out with a mocking turn, like he finds the concepts incidental at best.
“That’s true. She did start it,” Dani reasserts, turning her gaze up to her dad.
“I’ve spoken to Mackenzie about her part in everything,” Ms. Burnell answers tightly. “But we’re here to talk about Danielle’s conduct. That’s not the only incident of its kind that’s occurred this year and—”
“You know, it sounds to me as though Danielle’s doing just fine,” Mr. Masters says, pushing up to a proper stand, tugging the bottom of his sleeves and smoothing the dark, wrinkleless fabric.
“But—”
“Did she make this girl cry?”
“Well. No, but—”
“And how are my daughter’s academics?” he asks, gaze fixed on hers, sending a chill creeping down her spine.
“Fine, but—”
“Has she gotten into a physical altercation with anyone?”
“Not exactly, but—”
“Started any fires?” he asks, sarcasm and derision dripping from the words.
“No, she hasn’t started any fires.”
“Then I believe this meeting is finished. Thank you for your time, Ms…”
“Burnell,” she answers weakly.
“Thank you for your time, Ms. Burnell. Danielle, are you ready to go?”
“Yup!” She pops up to an enthusiastic stand, rushing over to the windows to snatch up her painting, twisting it toward Ms. Burnell. “Can I take this home?”
She gives a heavy sigh, massaging her temples with her fingertips. “Sure, Dani. That's fine.”
“Thanks, Ms. B!” As the girl traipses after her dad, a bounce in her step, horrifying painting swinging at her side, Ms. Burnell can hear the girl still chattering away, even as they pass out of her classroom, voices growing distant. “Do you think I should have made Mackenzie cry?” she asks.
Ms. Burnell is glad she can’t hear the man’s response—she doesn’t even want to know his answer.

Danielle is thrown decades into the past and in a cruel (?) twist of fate, becomes once again entangled with the very person she was running from in the first place.
It is 1986. Vlad Masters, 24 years old, finally escapes the hospital. With no home, friends, or money and a lot of debt, he has one goal: amass as much wealth as possible, as quickly as possible. But then the universe, which clearly has it out for him, throws a child shaped wrench at his head.

Teen Villain Alliance
Chapter 1 - Damian
Despite his proficiency in the skill, Damian hated spying on the Teen Villain Alliance.
Having appeared two years ago in alliance with Klarion Bleak, the Teen Villain Alliance, or TVA, quickly made themselves known as little more than pests, often rushing in to assist other young adult criminals or harass Justice League officials. Father wanted to investigate when they first appeared, but with Todd’s reveal and Damian himself coming to take his place as Robin, he’d been… busy.
Which allowed the TVA to flourish into a respected criminal enterprise. No vault was safe, no hero strong enough. A group had even banded together to take down Superman! And while there was no lasting damage other than some bizarre markings on the Kryptoian’s face, it was enough to prove these teenagers as a threat.
Damian, as much as it galled him, was not the first chosen to infiltrate. Martian Manhunter, shapeshifted into a meta fourteen-year-old girl, tried and was identified as a hero on sight. The Teen Titans and Young Justice got closer, actually able to talk to the villains about joining, but “it was like they could smell the hero on us,” Beast Boy had explained. “I don't know how else to explain it.”
Most likely, the TVA kept tabs on the Justice League and affiliated organizations. They needed someone fresh, someone who wasn’t a hero.
Damian had been more than willing to volunteer.
Introducing himself as Damian Al Ghul, the recently escaped Heir to the Demon Head, he’d been accepted immediately despite having approached the group mid-heist. All he had to do was extrapolate about how Grandfather’s assassins were chasing him, and the Wolf—a designation given to the members of the TVA’s inner circle—allowed him to join, but he was forced to stay with the hacker of the group while the heist commenced with no interference from a hero.
Damian had been confident. He’d gotten so far in mere minutes when a member of the Justice League, and even Drake, couldn’t get past the first few questions. He’d have the Teen Villain Alliance dismantled within the week.
Then Manson, as the Wolf had introduced herself, took out a device that transported them all to another dimension. Which was where the main base of the Alliance was. And none of his communication devices or trackers worked there.
Damian had only been able to update the Justice League a few times since his tenure as a spy began. Superman had reassured him it was fine, that there had been plenty of missions were communication was infrequent, but after a month of living in the TVA Base in the Infinite Realms, Damian hated not being able to contact his father easily. And in return, Father and Drake had taken to interrogating him for as long as possible the couple of times he was outside Headquarters.
(Phantom’s Haunt is what the TVA members called it. It was Phantom Dark’s home that he opened up to them all. Damian didn’t know how to feel about that.)
Damian had only been able to contact Father three times in his four weeks undercover, each time on a supply run… which was essentially just a grocery trip for the Haunt. The first time Damian had slipped away to the bathroom and called, Father had been… furious. He’d thought Damian’s lack of updates was on purpose. It had been five minutes before Damian could correct him.
He wished Grayson had answered during any of his updates, but he was on a mission in space and wouldn’t be back for another two weeks.
In those four months, Damian was still the newest member, and had yet to be involved in the truly illegal aspects of the organization. All the information he’d gathered purely administrative, like how Duulaman, a reincarnated pharaoh turned hacker, stole money from various billionaires and government organizations to fund their plans. He’d yet to be involved with anything serious.
He wasn’t allowed on serious missions either. He only had the supply runs to look forward to, and those only occurred once a month.
His other objective, to undermine the Teen Villain Alliance and spur a mutiny, was also going poorly. The children he surrounded himself with were fanatically loyal to the Alliance, citing Phantom and his harem as the reason they were alive today. Even those who weren’t directly rescued were loyal. One such child, a boy named Kyd Wyckyd, had confessed to turning to a life of crime due to his terrifying meta abilities and their effects on his appearance.
But the TVA took him in after the collapse of HIVE Academy. He hadn’t participated in a crime since, preferring to work with the Wolf named Jasmine who led individual and group therapy sessions for the villains. Jasmine had tried multiple times to convince her therapy sessions—more like brainwashing sessions—but Damian had stayed strong in the face of adversary.
Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be much more Damian could do. He tried to push, to get involved with the criminal aspect of the organization, but the Wolves blocked him at every turn, saying he was “too young.” That he needed “stability” and to “rely on them to keep him safe.”
Perhaps Damian oversold the danger of the League of Assassins.
For now, Damian hid in his room in Phantom’s Haunt. His castle. Even the magnificence of the compound he grew up in couldn’t compare to the headquarters. There were an infinite number of rooms—”as many as we need,” Phantom had told him—that changed based on the user’s preferences. Right now, Damian’s room looked like a cave. The Batcave, to be precise, though he didn’t allow references to his Father and legacy.
He was hiding because Manson had suggested he attend some of the classes held in the libraries—there were four libraries at the moment. Classes were taught by ghosts under Phantom’s control and weren’t mandatory, but “everyone’s worried about the lack of structure in your life.”
He tried to tell himself it was because he didn’t want to be brainwashed by Phantom’s lackeys, and that he already knew everything they were going to teach. But in truth… Damian was anxious. Attending school at the Haunt felt too permanent, too much like he was planning to stay. He hadn’t gotten the choice to attend school back in Gotham, with Father acting like he would compromise their identities around children. He wasn’t that petty.
Someone knocked on his door. “Damian? Are you inside?”
Sighing, Damian stood up and opened the door. “Dr. Fenton. Am I needed for anything?”
Dr. Daniel Fenton was another Wolf, another member of the harem Phantom had built around him, twenty years old and not an actual doctor but everyone called him that anyway. While Damian had yet to see Fenton and Phantom in the same place, Damian was keeping a detailed record of how the Wolves’ polyamourous relationship worked. Phantom and Fenton both dated Manson and Duualman, though they didn’t seem to be dating each other or Jasmine. Klarion often inserted himself into those relationships for hugs and hand-holding, but only seemed to kiss Jasmine.
“Actually, yes.” Damian’s lips parted in surprise. “I wanted to talk to you about something down in my lab. Would you join me?”
Fenton’s lab was off-limits to low level members of the TVA. He was the engineer, the creator of all their weapons of destruction. Fenton had no minions, while Manson had her thieves, Duualman had his hackers, Jasmine had her helpers, Klarion had his witches, and Phantom had his fighters.
Fenton was alone.
Isolated.
Damian agreed.
Fenton led him to the depths below the castle, past the never-used dungeon and through a secret door into a surprisingly bright and airy lab. He caught Damian looking through a window that displayed one of the Haunt’s many gardens, an impossible feat for being so far underground. “Magic castle, remember,” Fenton chided him. “Those work as portals that lead to the garden too, so it’s an easy one-way exit.”
Damian scoffed, abashed that he’d been caught so easily. From a glance, the lab was perfectly maintained, with every piece of equipment assigned to an outline meant to indicate where it belonged. As he walked further into the room, Fenton made slight adjustments to his tools, meticulously shifting them back into place. It looked more like a set than a laboratory.
But then, Damian observed Fenton. The twenty-year-old relaxed as he put his space back into order, nudging the screwdrivers and beakers back into their designated outlines. As he worked, the sleeve of his lab coat road up, revealing a glimpse of lichtenberg scars before it was hidden again.
Finally done, Fenton turned back to Damian. “My sister, Jazz, has told me that you’re not attending individual or group therapy sessions, is that correct?”
Well, that revealed a  lot of information. Ignoring the fact that Fenton and Jasmine were apparently siblings, Damian replied, “I do not see a reason to attend. If this meeting is an attempt to force me–”
Fenton held his hands up in surrender. “No, I would never. Therapy doesn’t work if the person receiving it doesn’t want it. But you haven’t been attending any of your classes either, and Phantom has mentioned that you don’t hang out with the other kids. Are you settling in alright? I know the others are a few years older than you, so it might be harder for you to connect with them.”
Damian chewed on the question. While part of him was furious that someone, especially a villain like Fenton, was concerned about him and discussed him with his fellows, the other part… wasn’t. It was true; he was having difficulty connecting with the villains. Damian didn’t particularly want to, but it would make his mission easier.
He chose a neutral answer. “In the League of Assassins… I was the only child in the entire compound. Other children weren’t allowed inside, not unless their parents did something wrong. And those children…”
“Were used against their parents?” Fenton offered when he struggled to find the words.
“Precisely. It’s not in my nature to associate with children.”
Fenton nodded in understanding, stroking his chin in thought. “That does present a conundrum alright. How unfortunate; the task I needed your help with requires you to interact with at least some of the others, but if you’re that uncomfortable with the idea, then I could find someone else.”
Damian stared at the man in suspicion. “What task?” he demanded to know. If this was a way to get more information for father, he needed to know. But if this was another trap to get him into therapy…
“You’ve probably noticed by now, but I’m the only Wolf without someone working under me. Sam has her Bats, Tucker has his Flies, Jazz has her Rats, Klarion has his Strays, and Phantom has the TVA as a whole. The others have been pressuring me to create my own group, but babysitting a group of teens in a lab where anything could explode is just asking for trouble.”
Damian stepped away from the nearest device. Fenton continued, “However, I think a group dedicated to investigation would work much better. Here in the Infinite Realms, we’re very isolated from the human world, so my research on competing inventors is always lacking. Tuck and Sam help, but Tucker has his own hacking projects, and Sam targets financially viable targets instead of labs.”
“You want me to be a member of your new… group?” Damian read in between the lines of what Fenton was saying. Surely Father would be proud of him for gaining information about Fenton’s inventions and targets—
“I want you to lead the group.”
His glare dropped right off his face in shock. “Lead?” he whispered.
“That’s right,” Daniel agreed. “It’s not conventional and I barely got the others to agree, but Damian, you’re one of the best trained villains to ever join the TVA. Yeah, you’re really young, but you are serious and professional. To be honest, most of the kids we take in don’t take our work seriously. It’s not a bad thing, but I need a leader who is willing to keep their group in line. Infiltration and information gathering can be very dangerous, and I need someone who can keep the team safe.”
Daniel trusted him enough for that? Father didn’t trust him enough to be his partner; honestly, Father didn’t even trust him enough to introduce Damian to the world as his son! Perhaps he was aggressive towards the interlopers in his home, but he wasn’t going to stab a civilian!
And while Damian didn’t understand why Daniel was so cautious around what amounted to breaking and entering, he wanted Damian to lead. He trusted Damian for that.
And Damian was going to take back whatever information Fenton revealed back to his father, like a hunting dog to its master.
Daniel continued, “Of course, this is still a few months off from being necessary. But that should give you plenty of time to attend some classes to prepare you more! One on leadership skills, one on modern technology, one on basic magic and wards, maybe a refresher on hacking… Knowing you, you’ll test out of them in a few weeks, but the main point is to find other people to join our team. I’m looking for four other team members, and while I am looking for certain traits and skills, it's up to you to decide who you want on the team.” Daniel placed a hand on Damian’s shoulder. “So, what do you think?”
He’d betray Daniel by saying yes. He’d betray Father by saying no.
He made his choice.
Damian looked up at Daniel, determination set into his face. “I won’t let you down.”
Daniel smiled. “I know you won’t. You couldn’t if you tried.”

Danny: If you took all your DNA, straightened it out, and put it end to end, it would stretch to Jupiter and back ten times over. You are neither small nor insignificant; just very well folded Damian: He’s a fool, but this makes me feel better, so i tolerate the fool.

I'm here for the full fic
Dc x Dp #46
"I'm transferring you all to another branch to focus on your teamwork." Batman announced to the Young Justice League out of nowhere.
The news surprised the whole group. They've been together for quite sometime and had gotten alone just fine. Sure, they had disagreements here and there, but that wasn't enough for them to need more training, was it?
"We've been officially working together for a long time. Why do we need teamwork training now?" Robin asked, being brave enough to talk to the well feared vigilante that many were fearful to speak against.
Batman said nothing as he scrolled through the tablet in hand, obviously searching for something.
"Because you still have problems with your teamwork. You need the help of another team your age to get a better view point of what you're doing wrong. And hopefully you'll be able to learn about the different type of enemies
"Wait, wait, wait! Our age? You mean there's another team that we didn't know about?" Kid Flash asked, the news obviously being a surprise to him.
This news was a surprise to everyone in the group. All of them thought that they were the only young heroes that worked under the Justice League.
Finding what he was looking for, Batman opened a file and the team looked at the large photo that appeared on the screen. The photo contained four teens, just around their age if not older or younger.
One was a black teen with a red beanie, and Robin was surprised to see the bulky tech in his hands that he was using. What kind of outdated tech was this team using?
Next to him was a goth looking girl with raven black hair wearing a black short with a black and green plaid skirt. Her face was concentrated into a stern glare that gave Wally the shivers. The gun that she held in her hand didn't help either.
There was another girl as well. Her black hair down and resting against her shoulders. Said shoulders and the rest of her body covered by a black and red suit with a hoverboard against her feet and another strange weapon in her hand. A gun maybe? Red Arrow was curious to see her aim when moving on that board.
And the last kid wasn't standing. He was floating. With snow white hair and green eyes that seemed to glow everytime they looked at the photo. He looked to be around the same age as the other three, but he wore a black jumpsuit with white boots, gloves, and belt. On his belt rested a thermos? Superboy didn't see how such a scrawny thing could be of any threat.
One thing was similar was that how all of the humans eyes seemed to glow. Almost as bright as the- metas'? Aliens? -did.
"These are the members of Young Justice: Dark. They have been under the Leagues employment for three months, but they've been working on their own for almost two years and managed to stop several world ending disasters dealing with the supernatural."
The statement from Batman shocked the team. Them? On their own for two years fighting against the supernatural? Surely he was joking?!
"But-how? We've never heard of them, and they were world ending, we should've known about it." Robin argued.
"Because they've never left the threats leave their town." Came Batmans clipped reply. "There have been a few close calls, but all of them have been handled. As for why the League wasn't aware, there was interference that stopped the League from knowing about Amity Park. This is the team that took our place."
This was the team? Two years unsupervised against supernatural threats that they didn't know about and they still remained uncovered? Just how strong was this team?
"I'm assigning your next mission to work under them. For the time being they will be your superiors and you will follow their instructions if you come into contact with any enemy. Do not go against their orders or else it will be dire. With this, you will learn about threats stronger than you have faced and better yourselves as a team. Do not mess this up."

Justice League wants to talk to the ghost king.
They heard he was a powerful being. So they want to talk with him to see if he is a threat, they need to take care of or a potential friend.
Konstantin says he knows a ghost that might be able to help them.
They meet the ghost of a teenager who was killed in a accident.
Danny is eager to help them and looks mildly amused the whole time.
He helps them through the ghost zone. Sometimes they meet other ghost, some ghost who are friends with Danny.
Danny explains the other ghosts that they are looking for the ghost king. Some of those ghost just started laughing.
Turns out Danny was the ghost king all along and he thought it was pretty funny to fool them all.
Not all people's of the Justice League thought that it was fun.

Oooo
For an Op, Jason goes undercover at a college. He goes all out, actually signing up for classes and getting a dorm with a (shudder) roommate. Then he proceeds to have a nightmare during a thunderstorm and shoots the poor roommate.
He stares at Fenton.
Fenton stares back at him, wide eyed and shocked. Blood is starting to stain the front of his shirt.
"It's okay," Fenton says, voice strained as he clearly tries to stay calm. "It's okay, this isn't the worst thing I've had. I have a med kit in the closet, and I can do my own stitches; no one has to know."
Jason can't say anything. He's too busy staring at the blood.
It's red, until the lightning starts to fade and the glowing green flecks make themselves known.
He looks up into Fenton's eyes, and vibrant Lazarus green stares back at him.
He may have just found a bigger problem than pinning down the supplier of a new drug.

Soo good
Dead on Main being soulmates.
Dead on Main being destined to be each other's Fright Knight and Ghost King.
Dead on Main being childhood best friends until Danny moves to Amity with his parents.
Them dying at the same time.
Danny having a ice/snow core because Jason died in a snowy area, and Jason having a lightning core due to Danny dying in the portal
The reason why Jason mysteriously woke up in his coffin being because Danny was about to die against Pariah Dark and his soul reacting to try and get to him.

Part 2, part 2
Danny is overworked, over stressed, and he may have just pushed himself a little too hard.
He's been staying up all night, only to go to school, he's always looking over his shoulder for his parents weapons or a ghost attack or a Vlad attack, and there's only so much stress the human body can take before it just tries to force you to slow down.
Unfortunately for Danny, this happens as he's walking the streets of Metropolis while his parents are at a convention.
He starts to see double, can't really tell if he's touching the ground anymore, and runs into a massive chest. He looks up and sees black hair and blue eyes wearing a weird suit.
"Oh, hey dad." Is all he manages to say before he passes out in the man's arms.

Oh I need this fic
Danny sees a blond, middle aged man sitting on the curb, letting nasty puddle water spray him from passing cars as he drinks from a straightup liquor bottle.
Danny feels bad for the guy, but also he's creeping the student population out and that's the main sidewalk pretty much everyone uses.
So he walks up to him, gives him a tentative shoulder pat, and says "Sir, I'm sorry, but you're freaking everyone out, can you go brood on the other side of the street? There's some overhangs there!"
The man drops the bottle, staring at his own hands. Then he redirects his wide-eyed stare to Danny's hands. Then Danny's face.
"Kid what in the bloody fuck did you just do?"
The man reaches for Danny, Danny leans away in alarm, and Dash punches the guy so hard he's knocked out.
"Didn't your parents ever teach you stranger danger, Fenturd?"
"Come on, man, don't ask that; you know they didn't." Kwan says, jogging up and forcibly steering Danny away from the man and gently shoving him at Sam and Tucker.
They don't like Danny, but Amity Parkers protect Amity Parkers from creepy out-of-towners.
Or; John Constantine is having a pity party after getting so drunk he teleported into a weirdly big city in bumfuck nowhere Illinois, gets touched by some kid who broke his soul contracts and all his curses with a single shoulder pat, and gets knocked out by a football player. Now with the contracts that granted him his powers as a warlock fucking canceled, he's gotta find that kid and also a new patron before his enemies realize he's up shit creek.
