“I ask everyone here today to bear witness to my oath," Riftan said for all to hear.

The noisy stadium once again fell into silence. Every citizen of the Seven Kingdoms knew what those words meant.

Riftan slowly crossed the arena and climbed his way to her.

Maxi did not dare to blink as she watched him approach.

Riftan crouched on one knee before her. Soon, he began to speak the sacred words of the oath a knight could only pledge once in his life.

"I place my head at the feet of my king,

My body on the dirt of the battlefield,

And my heart in the palm of your hand."

Maxi's hand flew to her mouth, covering her trembling lips. Riftan looked up at her, and in his warm eyes, now free of all pain, anxiety, and troubles, Maxi saw her reflection. It was those eyes that made her feel like the noblest of women.

In a low but resolute voice, Riftan recited the last verse of the geas.

"My honorable lady,

Will you grant me the honor of becoming your knight?"

Maxi blinked. Though she wanted to offer him an elegant smile like the princesses and the ballads, it was impossible.

Tears blurred her vision, spilling over her cheeks. The desire to embrace him and sob like a child was overwhelming, But she restrained herself in the presence of the world's greatest knight. With immense effort, she willed her shaking legs to stand.

"I-"

Her voice broke so pitifully that she paused. She bunched her skirt in her fist, determined not to ruin this moment. She would not allow it. Gathering her strength, she lifted her head high, cleared her throat, and spoke with newfound clarity.

"I gladly grant you the honor."

Thunderous cheers shook the stadium. Maxi gazed down at her husband, her eyes shimmering with emotion. His shone with pure joy.

The moment I read this, I remember all the struggles they have been through. It pains me to read this because I know that their story would come to an end. It has become a big part of my gray existence and knowing that I would read their story at the end of an stressful day made my life more bearable. I am so happy for both of them. I can’t stop crying reading this part.

Self reflection: Sometimes it is better to stay silent and not to act impulsively. Maybe it’s the conscience that is speaking but why blame the other person? Maybe it’s insecurity because she is being heard and you’re not. It would be better to be invisible, not to react and just play dumb.

Faces of Baek Inseo. One of the most handsome characters I’ve seen in manhwa. I like how the story unfolds and how he comes to terms with his feelings for Hyeok. Sometimes we never understand that even if we have all the great attributes, we still feel insecure because of that one person. But that one person is the one who will bring us great joy and happiness.

I fell in love with this character. The way he looks at Sei, the look in his eyes is filled with longing and happiness and pride for her achievements.

This is my favorite scene of my favorite anime.

It reminds me that there is always a happy ending. That despite the trials life has toss at us, we will always overcome it.
