This is something I'm seeing more and more on AO3 that I'd never seen when I first got into fandom stuff, so I wanted to find out how you all feel about it.

What are your thoughts about seeing posted fanfiction that isn't commissioned, where the creator says that they have never read/watched the source material? For example, someone putting out a fanfic for a show they've never watched that includes the tag Author Has Never Seen Suchandsuch.

Do you think aquaman characters should be drawn with more greek features and increase the greek aesthetic in atlantis?

I saw this pic and immediately thought of Arthur, Mera and Garth.

I would love Atlantis that has more a Greek influence! I wonder if it's because Wonder Woman already has one so they try to avoid it now, but it would make way more sense.

How do you think Garth would react if he accidentally killed someone from loosing his temper or some other reason

Not to be an unimaginative hater, but Garth would never do this because he doesn't have the temperment to "accidentally" kill. Even when he is angry, and we see him very angry, he is not capable of doing that. That's kinda his whole thing.

And not to be the person who always says "Read Tempest" but read Tempest bc he does unintentionally "kill" someone within the first 10 pages. However, it's clear that Tempest didn't intend to do anything close to a killing blow.

Do Atlanteans have fins, and gills? And other fish like characteristics? I know continuity changes, but what was the status quo for most of the 90s? I'm reading this time period in comics rn so I had to ask lol

Most Atlanteans do not have gills. I hate New52/Young Justice for giving them gills, it’s ugly and stupid and bad.

According to the Tempest miniseries, they have microscopic pores on their entire body that absorb oxygen from the water. This is why having any contact with water can replenish them, including humidity, rather than relying on water passing over a specific spot on their necks, which would be stupid. Another common N52 L tbh

There are some “mutated” people who descended from ancient Atlantis who appear more fishlike. You will meet them, if you’re reading the comics, so I won’t spoil too much.

Arthur has leg fins, which is another element I really miss. They’re like, a hard bony fin on his calf but that’s not something on every single Atlantean. Overall, the majority of Atlanteans pass as human.

Mera is not Atlantean in that canon, but she used to have flipper feet, which I love.
