Wendy’s Coming To The UK Is The Best News We've Ever Heard

For years, us Brits have been jealous of the level of fast food our friends across the pond have. Yeah, we’ve got McDonald’s, KFC, Five Guys and all that, but we’ve always had a soft spot for In-N-Out Burger, Chick-fil-A and, especially, Wendy’s.

So, when we heard that Wendy’s was finally coming to the UK, we lost it – we absolutely, completely, 100% lost it.

Wendy’s, which is best known for its square burgers (including the Baconator) and Frosty Shakes, announced plans to open restaurants in the UK last summer, and it was confirmed back in May that they'd chosen Reading as its first location, which opened its door to the public 2 June.

And now we know where the second Wendy's location will be. Drum roll please...

Stratford, London!

Coming to the home of the 2012 Olympics, Wendy's Stratford (you'll find it in the Stratford Shopping Centre) is opening 27 August, which is just a couple of weeks away, you guys!

So let's take a look at the menu, shall we?

Wendy's Burgers

The range of burgers will begin with the iconic Dave's Single®, a fresh British beef patty with American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo, and onion on a toasted bun. This will also come as a Dave's Double AND Dave's triple.There's also the Baconator®, a double beef patty with American cheese, six pieces of crispy Applewood smoked bacon, ketchup and mayo.And as a UK exclusive, there's the Veggie Stack, a black bean and grain burger (in the square shop, too, of course!).

Wendy's Chicken Sandwiches

The chicken burger selection starts with the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, a juicy chicken breast marinated and breaded in a unique, fiery blend of peppers and spices, cooled down with crisp lettuce, tomato, and mayo.

As well as that, you'll also be able to get your hands on the Classic Chicken Sandwich, the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, AND The Avocado Chicken Club. Let's not forget the nugs too of course...
