abigail cowen? no, that’s just MEADOW HANSEN  (  cis female + she/her  ). you know, the nineteen [ nineteen ] year old vampire who’s been known to be intelligent but shy. they’ve also been dubbed the know it all for those exact reasons. / 

TLDR; Meadow is a shy barista who has lived in Covington since she was 12 years old. A month ago, she’s turned into a vampire along with her bff and now she’s a mess.

Meadow is the fourth and final child born to her parents, Shawn and Melissa. They were highschool sweethearts, and got married right after Shawn finished his army boot camp. He ended up becoming a medic for the US army and the Hansen’s moved around a lot. Meadow was born in Washington, but by the time she was ten years old the family had moved around eight times.

When Meadow was eleven, her parents picture perfect love story takes a hectic turn. Her mother had an affair with an officer on the base, and they split up. Her siblings stay with their father and Meadow goes with her mom. They end up settling in Covington, Georgia when she was twelve.

Her life has been in Covington ever since, which took some time to get used to, as she was so used to moving around every couple years.

She’s not really good at making friends, so she really only has one. They are really close, but complete opposites. Meadow is shy and much prefers a night at home watching netflix, while her bff is a party girl with a bunch of friends, but for whatever reason, prefers the company of Meadow. They’re total opposites, but they get one another. Every once in a while, she’s able to get Meadow to go to a party.

About a month ago, she had one of those lucky nights and dragged Meadow to a party. They had a good time, but when they headed to their car, they were attacked by an unknown creature.

The next day, they both wake up in Meadow’s car, 100% okay but with no real memory of what had happened and a newfound craving.

So, now they are vampires. I’d like to think her friend is handling it better than Meadow, because she’s having, uh, a little problem controlling her blood lust. whoops.

Now your favorite shy, cute, neighborhood barista is a bloodthirsty, horny, monster. Yay?

POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS:

Her bff will be a wanted connection on the main!

Regular Customers: She has been working at the same coffee shop since she was sixteen. This place is like a second home to her. These can be connections that she has made throughout her time here, because she feels comfortable enough here to talk to people. (Maybe they’ve noticed a change in her?? omg)

Acquaintances: People she may have went to high school with. She wasn’t super friendly, so she probably didn’t have a lot of friends.

Mentor: Meadow is a mess!! She’s not very good at controlling her bloodlust, so maybe this person stumbled upon her, being a straight up mess, and was like “honey no” and took her under their wing. Ideally, it would be another vampire, but I’m very open to having it be another creature? Like a witch or demon or something? 

Victims: I love idea of Meadow having a few blood bags out there and she uses frequently. Maybe she has a victim that she attacked that got away from her before she could compulse them to forget? I need the angst.

Flings: She’s got so much blood lust and regular lust now that she’s a vampire. I hope she’s leaving a trail of lovers behind. I’d like chemistry before them, but I’m down to plot this out too!
