It means neither. It means i have severe medical trauma and my system would get triggered by strangers medicalizing our plurality. I qualify for dxes, but thats none of anyone here's business. And you asked me an incredibly personal question? Like my diagnosis or lack of diagnosis is.... a private medical question. My trauma or lack of trauma is.... so. personal.

I will answer this, because I'm assuming that (due to the cultural lack of boundaries on tumblr) you meant no harm by this question and are genuinely confused, but.

Yes, I have incredibly severe and longterm trauma, meeting even the strictest of requirements for DID posed by non-professionals on the internet

No, I do not use an origin label. My trauma is inseparable from myself and my experiences, so there is no way for me to determine a "cause". Also, origin labels are new and just used to harass people

Yes, I qualify for a diagnosis, and my therapist and I have discussed giving me a real diagnosis, but we are currently only using it in the contexts where it will give me more help where I need it.

No, I do not want anyone on the internet medicalizing my experience, especially not strangers or people using it to discredit me or be rude.

when i started using that tag it was because of not wanting a diagnosis and also because people were kinda sucking online. im not feeling good rn so im sorry if my tone is off and ive been dissociating out of this world so i have no idea how long this has been sitting in my askbox, but i hope that helps explain?
