fanon really built up "Cass is Bruce's favorite child" and meanwhile I'm sitting over here with a whole stack of panels in a folder labeled "Dick is Canonically Bruce's Favorite Child" adsfghjkl

looks like I need to be explicit again: terfs and transphobes are not welcome here. this is a truly madly deeply enthusiastically pro-trans and especially pro-transfem blog. my femininity has 1000x more in common with trans women than it will ever have with any vision of womanhood that depends on medicalisation, body fascism and despair, and my masculinity is informed by the warmth, kindness and vulnerability of all the best cis men I've had the fortune to know. there is nothing interesting about your martyrdom or your misery. get over it and, until you do, get off my posts.

My favorite thing is that the entire Flash family is cool with Wally freezing Thad in place.
Wally was all "I'm going to do the worst thing I can think of." Literally. Literally that was his thought process.
He's well aware that freezing someone in time so that they are mentally aware but unable to move, and then placing them on display at a museum is a bad thing to do. He just doesn't care.
And then Iris wants to know what happened to Thad. And Wally just tells her. He outlines, in great detail, exactly how he broke the Geneva Convention.
And Iris' response?!?
"Good. When are you doing it to the rest of the Rogues?"
And then Jay found out later and he just... nodded at Wally in solidarity and moved on.
I just... this family is so fucking ride or die when it comes to each other. Thad killed Bart. He killed Bart. So they were all completely fine with this.
I love them all so much.

The robins’ arrested development is fascinating to me on a meta level.
The first child sidekick of the golden age of comics, never meant to be a man, a child for forty years who fought and demanded the right to grow up.
The second robin is slain in his career’s infancy. An unaging symbol of lost innocence because innocence itself was no longer required. Who burst back out of his grave unwillingly, in a man’s body, dragged into adulthood all at once. A child killed twice over.
The third robin, who was comfortable in his place as a child as a sidekick, evicted because someone else needed that spot, only to be wedged back into the box. Not quite a man, but he can’t go back to being a boy either, stuck in the in between.
And the fifth robin, still a child. Destined to grow into an adult role that will never be vacated, and so cannot grow up.

DC Twitter must have been INSANE when it got out that Superboy’s dads were Superman and Lex Luthor. Holy shit. The memes. The ship wars. The homophobes. The mpreg jokes. People would have lost their fucking minds. Lex Luthor releases a statement like “he’s a clone of me and Superman no birth was involved” and people are like KINDA GAY OF YOU TO HAVE A SON WITH ANOTHER MAN, LUTHOR. Lexcorp’s PR team locks themselves in a conference room and refuses to come out for love or money.

Big fan of Cissie's constant "I don't want to be here, I don't know any of you people please leave me out of your problems" attitude. I was a little worried about how Williamson would characterize her and her relationship to the rest of the group but so far he's nailed it.
