Frozen 2 Elsa & Anna’s parents’ death

Hear me out. Ok, so Nokk (the water horse) attacks Elsa in the Dark Sea to prevent her from going further (at first)...and other memories and spirits are held in the water there (and everywhere according to Olaf). What if, their grandfather’s spirit was in the Dark Sea and caused the waves to swallow their parents’ ship to prevent them from going and finding the truth and bringing it back to the people? (This is my 11 year old’s theory and it makes sense to me!)
