A RE-THINK YOUR THINKING MOMENT FOR YOU.
Today I want to talk about three words and how they relate to mental health. Perception and perspective are the first two.
Your perception of what and how someone may be struggling with is usually the wrong perspective of the actuality of things.
The third word is the word Because, it is truly the most used word in the English language, but also the least thought of.
The word because when used attaches a meaning to something, such as I'm a so angry at you because:
Or when a loved one asks you "Why do you love me? And you answer with so many because.
So, the next time you see someone you may not know the battle that person is fighting and your perception of what they are battling with, or who they are as a person has NOTHNG to do with the actual perspective of the issues they are dealing with and who they are.
SO PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK - BECAUSE YOU WOULD WANT OTHERS TO DO THE SAME FOR YOU.

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A HOME. YES AMERICA AND CANADA TOO OUR GREATEST THREAT IS NOT A FOREIGN ADVERSARY OR EVEN THE PEOPLE OF MEGA.
IT IS THE BREAKDOWN OF THE AMERICAN/CANADIAN FAMILY AND OUR VALUE OF WHAT A FAMILY & AND HOME IS.
This is my definition of what a home is to me:
A home is not just a box with some walls that we call “Home Sweet Home.” A Home is not just a place where I lay down my head at night to sleep.
A HOME IS WHERE I FEEL I BELONG, AM COMFORTABLE AND SECURE BECAUSE A HOME IS PART OF A NEIGHBOURHOOD & THAT IS PART OF A COMMUNITY OF OTHERS WHERE WE BECOME PARTLY A GROUP OF ONE
WE FORM OUR CARPOOL GROUPS SHUFFLING EACH OTHER AND OUR CHILDREN TO THEIR HOCKEY, SOCCER AND SCHOOL EVENTS.
A HOME IS WHERE I WANT MY NEIGHBOURS AND FRIENDS TO ALWAYS FEEL WELCOME AND THE MINUTE ANYONE WALKS THROUGH MY DOOR, THEY WILL SEE THAT MY TASTE IN FURNITURE, ARTWORK AND PAINTINGS ON THE WALLS, AND MY BOOKSHELVES FULL OF BOOKS WITH SUBJECTS, AND TITLES THAT STAND OUT AND SPEAK LOUDLY TO ALL MY GUESTS, FRIENDS, AND VISITORS A LOT ABOUT ME AND WHO I AM.
A HOME IS WHERE I CAN CONTRIBUTE TO SIMPLE CONVERSATIONS WITH MY NEIGHBOUR ACROSS THE HALL, OR ACROSS THE STREET WITH THE SWEET LADY I SEE EVERY MORNING IN THE SPRING, SUMMER, AND FALL ATTENDING TO THE FLOWERS IN HER GARDENS OUT IN FRONT OF HER HOUSE.
IT IS THROUGH THESE SIMPLE CONVERSATIONS THAT OFTEN ONLY TAKE PLACE AT HOME THAT I CAN DISCOVER AND LEARN ABOUT NEW THINGS OR NEW TWISTS ON HOW TO DO OLD THINGS.
MY HOME IS ALL OF IS ALL OF THIS ABOVE AND THEN SOME.
IT’S A PLACE THAT I IDENTIFY WITH AND I BELONG, IT IS WHERE NEIGHBOURS BECOME MORE THAN JUST NEIGHBOURS, THEY BECOME CLOSE FRIENDS AND SOME EVEN LIKE EXTENDED FAMILY TO PEOPLE LIKE ME AND YOU.
MY HOME IS WHERE I WILL LIVE MY LIFE FULLY AND RIGHT FROM THE FIRST DAY, I MOVE IN I WILL NOT FEEL LIKE A STRANGER TO ANYONE OR LIKE I DON’T FIT IN.
MY HOME IS WHERE YOU AND THE NEIGHBOURS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO COME OVER JUST TO HAVE A COFFEE OR CUP OF YOUR FAVOURITE JAVA.
A SNACK OR MAYBE STAY FOR DINNER AND A BREW AND WE WATCH TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS ON NETFLIX OR WATCH OUR FAVOURITE SPORTS TEAM PLAYING A GAME THAT NIGHT ON MY 50” BIG-SCREEN TV.
MY HOME IS WHERE I CAN HELP CREATE LASTING MEMORIES WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS AND YOU TOO.
THE KIND OF MEMORIES THAT PEOPLE WILL STILL TALK ABOUT AFTER YOU AND I ARE GONE.
THIS DESCRIPTION OF A HOME IS BEEN DECAYING FOR DECADES, BUT IT HAS FALLEN OFF THE CLIFF WITH A FORMER PRESIDENT WHO HAD 4 BROKEN MARRIAGES, AND DIFFERENT CHILDREN FROM DIFFERENT WIVES THAT HE DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT.
HE ONLY CARED ABOUT THE NEXT BEST THING. HELL, HE DIDN'T EVEN ATTEND THE FUNERAL OF HIS CURRENT MOTHER-IN-LAW.
THE BREAKDOWN OF THE AMERICAN/CANADIAN FAMILY AND IT'S VALUES THAT IS OUR GREATEST THREAT - PERIOD.
