Since this website is filled with the former "gifted" kids, the ones who got their worth and self value from being over-achievers in their field at children, and never recovered from growing up and no longer being exceptional, drowning for too long in anxiety and depression and wondering what they are supposed to be, now that they are just... you know. Not exceptional.

timely life update: I have a minor revision for my paper so now i have one month to revise for final publication. merry christmas and a happy new year indeed.

i am in this limbo where i don’t know what i want to study for grad school, and have no money to afford grad school because my family is up to our necks in debt, and feel like i need to study for grad school because i like academics and because every one else is doing it.

I just finished the first two episodes of the chair and wow. That was relatable, and yes it’s coming from an Asian kid who is trying to get her article published and join the ✨ academia ✨  world (and honestly I’m tired of the bland content featuring rich young people right now). Yay for source of validation about doomed future in academia. And of course, love prof (?) Kim for being a role model for the messily put together people.
