She knew about Erens fear. But he was telling the truth, if Moblit is there he'll calm down. It's incredible. "Yea, I remember when you were younger and we had to take you to the doctors you wouldn't let the doctor touch you at all. We had to wait an hour until Moblit came to calm you down." She chuckled.

Hanjis eyes went soft. She hadn’t meant for it to come out so rude. She internally face palmed. She stood up and walked over to Eren, putting her hand on his shoulder.

“Hey I’m sorry, I know how much you look up to him and he really did a lot. He’s a great guy, I’m glad he’s gotten back on his feet. I just like to tease him sometimes.” She sighed and and stared off into space, thinking, blocking out the sounds around her.

Eren sighed. “I’m sorry to Aunt Hanji. I really need to get my temper in check.” He looked up with kind of a bittersweet smile. “You know he is one of the very few people who can get me to sit through a vaccine without squirming and begging them to stop right?”

Eren had a bad experience with needles. Ever since the day his dad had held him down and injected him with a vaccine he was already scared to take he just couldn’t look at a vaccine without panicking.

Hanji smiled darkly. “Yea because he thinks everything going to hurt him, he’s not safe anywhere, he’s not even safe from his own mind that attacks him every waking mom-” Hanji laughed. “I mean, yea he’s such a scaredy cat!”

“No he’s not.” Eren looked at Hanji dead on. “Would a coward have his last act ever as a police officer saving a five year old boy from a beating?” He asked moving his head gently to the picture of Moblit holding five year old Eren as he was hurrying out to a police car, a curious neighbor got the photo, and the frame next to it was the news article, Moblit had been to humble to admit he was a hero. “At least, that’s how I see him.” If it hadn’t been for the fact that Moblit had no money for a kid at the time, he might have been calling Moblit dad, not Levi, his then partner. “At least, that’s how I see him.” Moblit had been to injured on the job for the union to allow him to stay on, then alochol happened, but he was getting better now, even had a job at the elementary school.

“hmm..how does ten sound?” Eren asked between bites. Of course that was simply because tomorrow was Saturday and he promised Armin to help out with some book sorting at his place, meaning Eren had to take his allergy meds, because Armin had cats.
