♡ KOREAN LYRICS : SAVE ME - 방탄소년단 (BTS)

let’s look at the first line : “난 숨쉬고 싶어 이 밤이 싫어” i want to breath, i hate this night

we’ll now focus on the “난 숨쉬고 싶어” part!😊 - i want to breath 난 [나+는] = i, me 숨쉬 from the verb 숨쉬다 (to breath) ~고 싶어 (to want, the desire to do something) here they used the informal way but you can see this written as ~고 싶어요 (polite) or as a verb ~고 싶다 (like in their song 봄날 ㅋㅋ)

now let’s focus on the “이 밤이 싫어” part! - i hate this night here, there is no “i”, because it is not necessary to mention it as it is already at the beginning of the sentence. the first 이 means “this” 밤 = night (이 밤 - THIS night) the 이 attached to 밤 is a subject marker ; here they used 이 and not 은 because they are talking THIS specific night 싫어 from the verb 싫다 (to hate)

now let’s look at the second line : “이젠 깨고 싶어 꿈속이 싫어” now i want to wake up, i hate this dream

focus on the “이젠 깨고 싶어” part! - now i want to wake up 이젠 [이제+는] = now 깨 from the verb 깨다 (to wake up) ~고 싶어 = to want, the desire to do something (explained above)

and now focus on the “꿈속이 싫어” part 😊 - i hate this dream 꿈속 = a dream the 이 attached to 꿈속 is also a subject marker, they are talking about THIS specific dream 싫어 from the verb 싫다 (to hate)

and now the third line which is : “내 안에 갇혀서 난 죽어있어” I’m trapped inside of myself/in my mind, I’m dead/I’m dying

내 = my 안에 = inside 갇혀서 from the verb 갇히다 = locked up/trapped/imprisoned 난 [나+는] = i, me 죽어있어 = to die, to be dead
