Do not “wait to get worse”.
I don’t care if you’ve “been worse”
Your body is tired of this.
You deserve help in this moment.

😫😖
Stressed out about today’s infusion. Last weeks was rough....reaction to the tpi’s (that’s what I get for sitting up for them) and I had swelling around my IV site. Just not looking forward to today. At least I have my service puppy and hubby buys me treats after ❤️.

I so forget this
Feeling unproductive during a flare, or just an average chronic day?
Have you considered the fact that treating and caring for your symptoms is, in fact, a productive action?
What are you doing? Taking meds? Resting for x amount of time? If it’s really not sinking in, why not make a partially retroactive to-do list and check off some of the items you’ve accomplished today?
It takes strength and awareness to care for yourself. And, each action gets you one step closer to being able to do non-recovery things, and gains you more time with them overall.
Your mileage may vary on this one, but it was just too smart not to share.
Big thanks to friend of the blog Keirsten for getting this concept on our radar.

It’s okay to have a moment, a day, a week or even a year of emotional turbulence (notice how we ain’t saying ‘weakness’ anymore cause that shit’s outdated). You don’t have to be ‘strong’ all the time. Sometimes being strong is allowing yourself to feel the bad stuff.

My husband when I’ve got energy. “Look out!!!! She’s ornery today!!!!”
If I could stand up without feeling like I’m about to fall over and/or pass out, you would all be in so much trouble.
