Star Trek is so funny. All of starfleet is so aggressively Neutral Good. Every time they're up against something they Always do the noble thing. Every one of these motherfuckers is so ready to jump on the grenade. It's so cute I love them

Sometimes I’m having a good day
And then I think about the fact that Jaune KNEW he was the Rusted Knight. He KNEW he was the Rusted Knight a few “chapters” into the story
He knew he was the Rusted Knight, and he knew that the Rusted Knight didn’t make it to the end of the story alive
He knew he was the Rusted Knight, and he knew that “the Rusted Knight drank the poison in her stead.” The way Jaune says that, like it’s a line straight out of the book
Did he wonder every time they sat down to eat with someone if THIS was when he was going to be poisoned to death? Did he know exactly when it was going to happen and drink the poison anyway?
By the end of his time with Alyx, Jaune was DESPERATE to get the story back on track. Did he drink the poison on purpose because he knew that was one thing he as the Rusted Knight could do?
Was he willing and ready to die just to something ANYTHING right?
And Lewis, who went back and wrote the story…
He changed the intention of the poison
Changed it so the Rusted Knight drank the poison to SAVE Alyx, not because Alyx was trying to kill him
He changed it so in the end… Jaune died a hero
While Jaune “died” believing himself a failure

Watching Home Alone is so funny it’s like
Kevin’s mom: *hyperventilating into a paper bag* I can’t believe I left my son home alone, he has to be so terrified, my poor baby boy all alone I need to go get him-
Kevin: *actively planning to commit war crimes*
