Rock song 3rd of December
After a bit of a practice we decided to record the bass for the rock song. And get a few guitar parts down while the studio was free and set up.

Thursday 8th of November
Because I didn't have much of a role in the metal project today, me & Sam decided to start the Reggie song and looked into Reggie songs, artists and scales.
We managed to come up a verse using chords:
A minor D minor G major for guitar.
Sam will be playing guitar for this project and I will be playing bass. Both of us we be doing the scores for both parts as well.
Over the weekend I'll be looking at a bassline to go with Sam's guitar riff, hopefully I'll have something for Monday when we start recording both parts.

Thursday 8th November
Today we're starting on the metal track with Jeagon. Because it's mostly Jeagon whose the main leader for this genre I haven't got a big role in this project but I will be helping with setting up for recording, bass and scoring.

Minor Project
For my major project we will be working in two groups of musicians, one from the BA course and the other from the college. We will be working to create seven songs all with seven different genres with seven different modes of scales, deciding if our song is going to in a major or minor scale as well as if we’re going to play the song fast or slow. We will be working in two groups, but if we need another musician to fill in, we can borrow them from each group. After having a meeting on the 22nd of October, we all decided on what genres of music we’re going to do and how long we’re going to spend on each song:
Pop – We decide as a group we all would help take lead on this song and took on roles for ourselves. We wanted to base our pop song on a popular pop group, so as a group we researched the band Coldplay and took inspiration from their songs. We will be using the Aeolian scale for this song and will be playing it in D minor. Also, as group we’ve estimated that this song will take us up to 1 week to record and master.
Guitar: Heather
Guitar: Jaegon
Bass: Heather
Drums: Bill
Vocals: Sam
Producer: Oli
Metal – For this song Jaegon will be taking lead as he feels the most confident within this genre of music. We’re basing our metal song on a group called Metal Hardcore. Jaegon feels this band suits this genre of music. We will be using the Harmonic scale for this song and will be playing it in C sharp minor. Also, as group we’ve estimated that this song will take us up to 2 weeks to record and master.
Guitar: Sam
Guitar: Jaegon
Bass: Heather
Drums: Bill

Backing Vocals: Sam
Producer: Oli
Rock – For this genre of music myself and Sam feel the most confident and therefore will be taking the lead. We wanted to base our rock song on the popular rock group, Foofighters. We will be using the Lydian scale for this song and will be playing it in E. Also, as group we’ve estimated that this song will take us up to 2 weeks to record and master.
Guitar: Jaegon
Guitar: Sam
Bass: Heather
Drums: Bill
Main Vocals: Sam
Backing Vocals: Jaegon
Producer: Oli
Soul - For this genre of music the group decided Bill and Oli will be taking the lead. We want to base the song on the work of soul writer, Stevie Wonder. We will be using the Dorian scale for this song and will be playing it in A. Also, as group we’ve estimated that this song will take us up to 2 weeks to record and master.
Guitar: Jaegon
Guitar: Sam
Bass: Heather
Drums: Bill
Main Vocals/Harmonise: Sam
Producer: Oli/Bill

Funk - For this genre of music Bill and Oli with be taking lead. We wanted to base our song on a popular group called The Meters and their work. We will be using the Mixolydian scale for this song and will be playing it in C. Also, as group we’ve estimated that this song will take us up to 2 weeks to record and master.
Guitar: Heather
Guitar: Sam
Bass: Jaegon
Drums: Bill
Main Vocals: Sam
Producer: Oli/Bill
Keys: Bill
Reggae - For this genre of music myself and Sam with be taking lead. We wanted to base our reggae song on a writer called Damien Marley. We will be using the Dorian scale for this song and will be playing it in A. Also, as group we’ve estimated that this song will take us up to 2 weeks to record and master.
Guitar: Heather
Guitar: Sam
Bass: Jaegon
Drums: Bill
Main Vocals: Sam
Producer: Oli/Bill
Keys: Bill/Oli
Preach Vocals: Everybody
Jazz – If everything goes to plan and we hit our deadlines we would like to try and create a Jazz piece. Bill and Oli will take lead on this piece.
I personal feel that we can achieve the goals we have set for each song. The only pitfalls we may face are the common common obstacles   that affect projects, such as members of the groups being sick, equipment not working, loss of work  after it not being saved properly or a disagreement between band members slowing down the timeline.
