One week from today at the @hell_city Tattoo Fest May 17th-19th we are honored to display an incredible body of work from the legendary tattoo artist Dave Tevenal @davetattoos . Dave is a Tattoo Artist and graffiti artist from Columbus, Ohio currently tattooing at @mementotattoos . His artwork defines the very foundations of tattooing and Graffiti art meshed together into his incredible style that is definitive of not only his fine art, but also his tattooing. His tattoos are sought out by numerous collectors worldwide as many artists have tried to replicate his style from his influence on the tattoo industry.

Dave’s work is influenced by comic books, pop culture, contemporary art, Americana and Japanese tattoo imagery. He has worked for Marvel Comics, Vice Media, The Hundreds and more.

The @wetpaintproject is a HC crowd favorite and will be returning to @hell_city Columbus on various stages on the 2nd Floor in the Fairfield Ballroom at Hell City Columbus May 17th-19th at the @hyattcolumbus ! 🎨

Paint will splatter, messes will be made, mistakes scratched out and painted over, accidents will happen, jokes will be told, drinks will be spilled; in short, artistic genius will unfold RIGHT BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES! Over a dozen local, as well as artists from around the country, will be working on their creations all weekend long. They will be fueling each other’s imaginations and sparking their creative flames. Come witness the artistic process in action all weekend long! You might even be able to buy the artwork whose birth you’ve witnessed at Hell City! NEW and very important award for @hell_city 2024! BEST IN SHOW! 👹 Best in Show is different than our Artist of Show award that we have had for many years. Best in Show is the best tattoo made at Hell City Columbus 2024. Winners of Friday, Saturday and Sunday Tattoo of the Day are able to enter this competition that takes place Sunday Night May 19th during the Competitions Ceremony. Best in Show is open to those Artists creating multiple day tattoos. If you start a tattoo project Saturday and finish it Sunday, you are eligible for Best in Show. NEW RULE for Hell City 2024! Tattoo of the Day for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are tattoos started and finished that respectful day! Example: Sundays Tattoo of the Day competition can only be tattoos entered that were started and finished on Sunday ONLY! If you start a tattoo Saturday afternoon and finish Sunday evening, it is ineligible for Sundays Tattoo of the Day Competition and may be entered into our NEW Best in Show competition! ARTIST OF SHOW is still an award that takes place at Hell City and it will be treated as it has the past decade! Artist of Show is awarded to the HC attending artist that takes home the most competition hardware. They blend modern dance with aerial elements, fashion, and emotionally charged themes delving into the intricacies of the human experience. Anna, driven by her passion for psychology and surrealism, birthed The @annadroids —a manifestation of the idealized female form, resembling doll-like clones, on a mission to defy robotic conformity.
