Obsessed with the way Gerri and Roman fit and how much it drives them crazy. Like Roman has been fighting for his shot at the big leagues his entire life but he’s compelled to give it all up at the crucial moment because he actually cares about someone else and knows that by protecting her position he’s protecting himself. If he can’t do it right now, he knows that Gerri can, and since Gerri can do it his job is safe. It makes sense that his soulmate would be the woman who only trusts her own abilities and competency, except she can’t seem to stop believing in him or setting him up for opportunities or trusting him to handle situations that could get her fired. She keeps testing him and he keeps exceeding her expectations. When Gerri doesn’t know what else to do she turns to Roman. almost like they trust each other more than anyone else
