as soon as i saw gem's thumbnail i fell in love i adore this build so much. here is my attempt at big glowy fish

the thing I love the most about my watcher scar (kinda role swap) au is that this shit would have NEVER happened to Grian. After escaping my version of Scar’s TCD world Grian would 1) NEVER have written anything down and 2) CAUSED PROBLEMS. I’m 16, immortal, and EVERYONE is going to know my name about it. Grian becomes a centuries old nuisance. He’s fucking famous. People who’ve never encountered him love him. People who have hate him. He’s banned from 70% of servers. The other 30% just want to know what happens if he decides to drop in (cause problems, build something beautiful, leave). Grian still doesn’t kill people and eats in a similar way to Scar, but he certainly Has killed people before (by accident. Probably. Even he doesn’t remember)

Scar’s Watchers present themselves to him as primarily wolves, while Grian’s would probably be birds or crows or maybe a couple foxes and raccoons. Mischievous animals. They help him play pranks.

Hermitcraft would still be very impactful for this Watcher Grian though. He’d probably be invited to hang around, say yes not intending to stay, and then kinda. Make friends??? For the first time in his life????? Realize he’s been so lonely for so long and he Still to modern day says ‘Well I’m probably not going to stay around for very long’ but it’s kinda become a joke bc everyone knows his ass is Not leaving. He’s still a problem but having people he cares about has made him a little less of a problem. ‘A little less of a problem’ is still a massive pain in the ass.

The life series is made with full transparency. His ass is HUNGRY and everyone just goes oKaY gRiaN wE geT iT and they all have a great time.

He’d definitely still have a ton of unresolved trauma from the TCD world though. He’s a little (a lot) sensitive about being a Watcher and sees himself often as a bad person who isn’t deserving of the love he gets. He dealt with this before by being a complete menace for centuries, but even then, he’d always leave something beautiful behind as well as bringing people together. Grian has ALWAYS brought people together. He just needs help seeing it. He’ll get it. I like to think he gets it from Doc especially, Doc who he terrorizes regularly, who he thinks probably dislikes him somewhat. Doc who comes to him and thanks him for everything he’s done. Thanks him for the community he’s brought together and strengthened with his presence. Grian wouldn’t be able to handle that, he’d just break down. Man. My guys. The guys in my head.

i think one of my fave things this season is grian's obsession with fishing. It feels like he's trying so hard to be normal and have a slow start to the season to the point that he's overshot the goal and now does nothing but fish.

he's managed to become more cryptic than usual and i think is being claimed by the ocean, which yknow, good for him
