At some point in your life, you were taught that being slightly annoying is an unforgivable sin. Maybe it was by your parents or a teacher or a friend or a bully or an older sibling. But someone taught you that being slightly annoying is a crime punishable by death.

You must unlearn this.

You must accept that all people will be annoying at some point or another in their lives, maybe all of their lives, and that this is okay. It is okay for strangers on the bus, it is okay for children in the grocery store, it is okay for people on social media, and it is okay for you.

If you ever want to truly love your fellow humans, if you ever want to truly love yourself, you must have forgiveness for being annoying.

There's a whole bunch of TikTok drama at the moment after someone posted a video asking "would you rather be alone in the woods with a bear or a strange man?"

And the men are *very upset* that nearly every woman replied with "....obviously a bear."

It's honestly wild (I think some of these guys think that bears are movie monsters, craving human flesh).

But it boils down to this- they want you to expect the worst from the bear and the best from the stranger, and they are deeply offended that this isn't the case. 🤷

My life just consist of being behind on everything that needs to be done for the 100th time. Rarely have the energy AND time to be able to do anything creative that dosen't get abandoned unfinished in my pile of unfinished projects cuz I had to do chores or go to bed before work again.

I can do so much better art wise, but these fucking dishes are growing mold, my hair hurts it's so greasy, my back hurts cuz I can't get myself to exercise, it's clothes everywhere, and I GOT to go to work again tomorrow and use all my energy there.

Creating anything takes fucking forever like this and I feel so left behind in evolving as an artist cuz I'm so spent by the end of the day/week all I make is half assed.

So much stuff gets left out on the curb. Wealthy college students tend to prioritize convenience over money, so instead of carefully reselling their perfectly good stuff, they frequently give it away or put it out with the trash because that's easier than moving, reselling, or donating. Take advantage of this.

I furnished pretty much my entire apartment from college giveaways and yardsales.

What I got for free:

The massive 9-drawer chest (that has a label on the back that it was custom-made and shipped across the country) that my TV sits on.

My desk - just sanded it down and refinished it.

i learned about Marion Stokes, a Philadelphia woman who began taping whatever was on television in 1979 and didn’t stop until her death in 2012.. The 71,000 VHS and Betamax tapes she made are the most complete collection preserving this era of TV. They are being digitized by the Internet Archive. (x)

Every time I learn something new about the man, the more weight the second point carries.
