Like...

"Yeh, something like that." (is dying)

"Nah, it's just the sniffles." (its the flu)

Thinking about a persistent cold. One that clings on no matter what your fav does to make sure that its presence is known:

Sneezing fits that start out as stifled and controlled that eventually become fully let out and messy

Attempting to not cave in and buy tissues because "they're a waste of money and not needed" until their nose is so red from toilet paper that they finally give in

Refusing to miss a single thing on their calendar during their very busy week only to crash hard at the end

Drinking hot tea, resting their voice, and using an absurd amount of cough drops, and yet still losing their voice because their throat feels that off

Being able to power through/ignore any cold symptom under the sun until they start running a fever that makes them achy and shivery

Sniffling and coughing so much that they forget about it until someone else notices and brings it up

Sounding so stuffy and/or hoarse that they brace themselves before every conversation because maybe they were the type to never get sick and now everyone knows and they're embarrassed
