oh but how absolutely monumental it still is to have all these big and mainstream pieces of queer television right now. remember how excited you got when there was one character who said he was bi or gay only then to be killed or written off or treated horribly by both writers and the public. remember how hard it was to find queer shows and movie that didn’t make you hate yourself or so angry or scared. remember how seen you felt about that one queer kiss or that one coming out or within one particular character! yes, devastating sad queer pieces are important. fucked up queer stories need to be told. queer period pieces and dramas with unhappy endings too. but queer happiness, queer young and old love, queer cringe, queer joy- we deserve that too.

Can you guys not see the vision?? IMAGINE GOING INTO THE ICE COURT PLOT WITH THIS ESTABLISHED WESPER. The angst?? The caring about eachothers safety?? JESPER THINKING WYLAN IS DEAD WHEN THEY BLOW UP THE SHIP AT THE END OF THE BOOK??

Also in terms of the one night stand/wesper having sex in the show I’m actually VERY glad they did that considering they’ve aged up the characters the way they did. This is a portrayal of adults, not kids, and Wylan was NEEEVER shy about his feelings for Jesper in the books so I definitly feel like if he saw that man in the streets he’d totally have a one night stand, especially if Jesper was on the same page lmao.

Also????? WE GOT THE “and when I woke up you were gone” BOMB DROP OUT OF THAT PLOTLINE HOW CAN YOU GUYS BE MAD ABOUR THIS
