Heaven and Hell
Until now there is no scientific evidence of the existence of heaven & hell, but heaven is an UNDOUBTED belief for those who believe in it. And for those of us who believe in it, no matter how sad and bad our current condition is, belief in the truth of heaven is the CONSOLATION that keeps us to stay alive until we meet our fateful death.
Tumblr media
These panels are really true. The believers want (or precisely: need) death. But suicide is NEVER be a way to heaven. In fact, suicide is one of the reasons why evil points increase while virtue points stop increasing. So the believers will stay alive, do many good deeds, give their best efforts, and minimize the harm or bad deeds.
One of the peaks of happiness in heaven is meeting and reuniting with loved ones while living for the first time. So people who believe in heaven do NOT STOP until they (themselves only) believe in heaven, but INVITE other people, those closest to them, especially those they love, to believe in it and go there together. Our family, our friends, our colleagues, etc.
Tumblr media
The last I'll say. God did NOT mess around or just kidding when He created heaven and hell. As He did not carelessly at random when creating the earth, the sky, all the creatures, the universe with all natural cause and effect today. Heaven was created to last forever. That's different from a playground that can be damaged and not work. Maybe it's more like the greatest empire and God is the Emperor Himself. Then it's mpossible if heaven is renovated into hell. Both were created together under very different conditions.

Virtue and Evil Points
Ok, so what's wrong about the idea? What counts is NOT ONLY virtue points, but also evil points. Every good deed has different values of virtue points. Every bad deed also has different values of evil points. Virtue points can continue to increase if there are living beings who still benefit from his good deeds. While evil points can be reduced if there are living beings who ask for forgiveness for their bad deeds.
The injustice that happened in the world will get its retribution. The culprit will get a decrease in virtue points or an increase in evil points. On the other hand, the victim will get an increase in virtue points or a decrease in evil points. So, virtue & evil points can be transferred according to what happened in the world TODAY.
Those who can calculate virtue & evil points are creatures (you can say they are angels) who are assigned the task to calculate fairly, NOT humans okay. Because humans (their virtue & evil points) are the ones who will be counted. And the calculation is done NOT on the day he still lived in the world, but on the judge day (after the whole universe is destroyed). What determines our final destination is the total (called judge points).
So judge points = virtue points - evil points. If the judge points are positive, anyone will become an inhabitant of a certain level of heaven. And if the judge points are negative, anyone will become an inhabitant of a certain level of hell as well.
Tumblr media
Unlike the world courts, which can be fraudulent, the afterlife courts in the judge day are purely based on facts without schemes. The evidence is complete on the side of God and the angels. Every soul will be judged without being wronged. If anyone wronged him, it was himself.

Way to Heaven
Obata sensei and Nishio sensei had made works about the scientific heaven. Have you read it?
Tumblr media
I think the author's done a little research on some of the beliefs about heaven. So I want to correct some perceptions about heaven in their work, especially in what I believe, which may be one of the results of the author's research. You may believe it or not though I wish you will.
Ok. It's true that there are 8 ways (each way has a door into heaven) according to the charity that anyone does, but the levels are up to 100. Even the lowest level is more beautiful than the best empire the world has ever seen. Then on the day of resurrection everyone is naked, but after entering heaven, everyone is clothed with the best clothes ever.
Then anyone can enter heaven as long as you BELIEVE in God and His justice on the judge day. Anybody. It doesn't matter which nation, where you live, what color your skin is, what language you speak, etc. What if you don't believe it? If you don't believe, of course you will ignore God's justice, right? But, believe me, you will still be judged. The justice is what I will write further. In short, I use the term "points" that I took from RKD-EK9.

The Encounter
"Hikaru… Hikaru…" when he decided to take a long rest, a voice actually woke Hikaru from sleep. Nostalgic sound. The voice he had missed for a long time. That voice…
Slowly his eyes opened. There was someone Hikaru missed so much there. "Sai? Is it really you??" Hikaru asked with mixed feelings. Is it true that he is dead? Is he still stuck in a dream as usual?
That figure smiled. But instead of just smiling, this time he spoke. Really spoke. With a very clear voice. Clearer than when Sai was in Hikaru's consciousness, "Yeah, it's me: Fujiwara no Sai."
Sai… it really was Sai! Hikaru wasn't dreaming. His eyes were glistening with tears of emotion. How long. He had been waiting for this moment for many years. The moment when he could meet again with the person he loved the most. "Tadaima," he said as he rushed into Sai's arms.
"Okaerinasai, Hikaru," Sai said as he returned the hug. They release the longing that has been hidden for so long.
After telling about everyone he loves, especially those who Sai knows, Hikaru wants to admit his mistake. Even though he was embarrassed, he didn't want to lose the opportunity to say, "I'm sorry for being selfish, Sai." He always wanted to play, even without Sai.
Sai shook his head. "I'm more selfish," confessed Sai, "my selfishness even crossed over 1000 years." But finally he understands that he must let go of his selfishness to God . "Come on, Hikaru, I'll introduce you to the others!" Sai invited Hikaru's hand while laughing, "they are also waiting for our match."
"Yosh!" Hikaru replied enthusiastically. He couldn't wait to fight Sai.

光の愛
All of the fanfics on this blog are titled Hikari no Ai. Hikari (meaning light) from Hikaru and Akari. I described both shining so brightly. And "ai" means love. Love takes many forms: life partner, brotherhood, friendship, and rivalry.
I dedicate this work to hikago fans, especially the Hotta-sensei & Obata-sensei (Japanese manga) versions. Also to my friends, who are part of my life, who know and are equally crazy about this work, both those who are still alive and those who have passed away.
This work is not intended to be commercialized. It is free to read, share, and rewrite (translate) in your own languages. But don't forget to mention the original source in English: this blog of mine.
This fics' genre is tragedy, Chika-san! Hehe, you're right. Sorry, apparently the main genre is tragedy. I think it's just slices of life. You can say it's all in one. No need to add horror or thriller genres, okay? For me the thought of death and endless suffering is horror. The scariest horror.
Do any of you feel sad to the point of tears? Honestly I spent a lot of tissues. If you keep reading until here, maybe you are a masochist. Hehe, I was kidding. But I want to make one last fanfic after this with a warm ending. This time it really seems like the ending. I won't write hikago fanfics here anymore. Maybe. Please don't expect more.
Thank you to everyone who has read, followed, and sent messages plus giving advice to the end. Next I will focus on writing my projects. Not hikago anymore. And certainly not in English. I'm not confident with my English skills even though google translate has helped me a lot. Alright. Bye bye, minnaaa!

Hikaru, I Love You (3)
Akari stared at the contents of her drawer with teary eyes. Longing to greet her again while remembering the memory she had with her sweetheart. The memory of the pills that Hikaru regularly bought for her.
"You know me so well, right? I'm not good at controlling myself. That's why Sai was born when we weren't ready. Then, I want you to help me by drinking these. Will you help me, Akari?" That was the first time Hikaru asked Akari to take pills regularly.
Akari really hasn't missed it in years. She thought that the pill would only be taken temporarily, but it turns out that Hikaru asked her to continue even though Akira already had 2 children, "I'm sorry, Akari, please have Sai only... don't even think about giving him a sibling... please..." It was really scary if something happened to Akari again.
Why didn't she use IUCD? Because according to Hikaru, "The only one who can enter you is me and the only thing that comes out of you is from me!" Hikaru's spontaneous words sounded selfish. Akari chuckled in between her tears because she remembered it.
Hikaru is indeed selfish, but his selfishness is because he has great love. Therefore, Akari could always forgive him. She also wants to love what Hikaru loves: Go, Sai, his friends and rivals. However, when what Hikaru loved was herself, Akari was deeply touched. Sniff sniff. She was confused by what she felt: was she happy or sad?
"Hikaru…" she said while holding the pill with wet cheeks, "Hikaru…" she couldn't continue what she was saying because there was too much she wanted to say. She hoped she could say everything if they met again. Someday. In the afterlife.

Dear, Daddy
"He holds the most titles this year," said Shirakawa sensei. Even Toya Koyo, who previously held the most titles, had lost to his hand. "Too bad at this young age…"
I don't know how great your name is with those various titles in their eyes, but for me your best title is called father. Not because there are no flaws, but because I feel your presence as a father figure. My dearest dad.
I remember all your kindness as I remember all your annoying behaviors. Ah no. Actually it's not really annoying. Precisely now they become a sweet memory in the bitterness of loss.
Now I'm remembering a childhood memory that was almost forgotten. Your strong hands, your broad and warm back, and your sweat pouring down when you carried me with a rush to the emergency unit. Back when I caught a bad cold in kindergarten.
Even though we often compete for mom's attention, even though we often fight when we have different opinions, even though you almost always win when I want to beat you, why is it that what comes to my mind right now is only your funny expression, your worried expression, your missing expression, your loving expression? When I just can't tell you that I love you... why??
I'm sorry, Dad, it turns out I'm not as strong as you hope. Let me cry. Just for today. After this I will become stronger. I promise I will protect mom as much as I can. I will take care of her as you want. I won't rely on her too much even though I'm disabled. And I want to make you feel proud to have me as a son.

Love and Selfishness
Hikaru stared at his passbook with an unreadable expression. He was in deep thought. Will his savings and investments be enough for Akari and Sai's life without him? How long? What else could he do to make their lives secure and comfortable? Property and vehicles. Insurance. School business. A foundation. His kifus. And a little stock. He still feels lacking.
At a time like this, when he felt that he couldn't do much more, he could only hope for something that would reassure him. Something that can give him confidence that the universe will help those he loves after he will leave soon.
"Dear, why are you daydreaming? Won't you eat?" Asked Akari. She saw Hikaru still holding his open passbook. "Are there any financial plans you're thinking about? That's big enough already."
"Is there anything you want, Akari?" Hikaru asked without answering her question. It means he wants to buy something for her.
Akari looked thoughtful. It's like nothing she really wants. "I want you to be healthy and live a long life," she finally answered.
Hikaru was slightly surprised, but he immediately hid his expression with a smile. Akari always thinks of him and for his sake. Even though she said it was for herself.
Hikaru hugged Akari lovingly. He couldn't give Akari one wish, let alone promise it. To be honest he was wanting something selfishly which might actually make Akari mad. He wanted to meet Sai, talk to him, apologize and admit his selfishness.

Let's Play (0)
It has been several years since Hikaru took back his Honinbo title. And it's been about two years since Akira left Japan. He rarely stays in Japan long, except for a few Ki-in events and his title defense.
"How is your business in China?" Asked Hikaru while stirring his coffee with a little sugar, "don't you mean to take back the title you gave up before?"
"Of course," Akira answered after sipping his hot coffee, "but only what's in your hand."
"Haha. Sorry, but for this year I want to keep all of them," Hikaru responded calmly, "in fact, I need to take another one of yours."
"Just try it," Akira's response was no less calm. Meanwhile there was a pause between their talks. "Mizuki already has a younger sibling," Akira said suddenly.
Hikaru raised his eyebrows. Was Akira intending to brag about that? But he had no interest in beating Akira at that. “Heh, alright, I admit my defeat there.”
"His name is Haruki. I hope he's not too small to become Sai's rival," Akira explained.
"That's up to them," Hikaru responded then returned the topic, "I just want to make sure: you are ready for our match starting next week, aren't you?"
"I'm always ready to hit you," Akira replied curtly.
"Great!" Hikaru's response was happy. To be honest he already misses playing with Akira very much, "take all your power to hit me seriously."

I Tell You (2)
"But you are wrong, Hikaru, your request to me just now is not a selfish request," said Akari with tears in her eyes, "because even if you don't ask me, I'll do it…"
"Akari…," Hikaru said, then hugged his wife tightly and again shed tears. He was afraid of losing her. Very afraid.
"I know… you just… don't want… to lose again…" Akari said while starting to sob. "I'll say it… as much as you want! I'm yours! Only yours forever! No one has me and will never have me like you!" Akari said this time in a desperate tone, "but don't you dare ever say you'll leave me so easily!"
"Akari, Akari, Akari," Hikaru repeatedly called her name. He knew Akari's love was so great that his heart felt so full. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll never say to leave you again… and I… I just hope you never leave me… I'll just leave to finally come back to you… like always… is that okay?" Hikaru asked.
Akari nodded and smiled even though she already understood what Hikaru meant by leaving. "That's right. That sounds good," Akari answered, then tightened her embrace. How sad it would be if she had to lose Hikaru, but the sadness becomes lighter if she believes she never really lost him, only separated just for a moment to meet again.
"Akari, I want you… always… forever," Hikaru said in a whisper. It's unimaginable for him. He just can't, even hates it, if akari is making out with anyone other than him. So they finished that night by wanting each other greedily.

I Tell You (1)
After a long time, their crying stopped. Akari began to let go of the hug slowly. "Hey, your eyes are swollen," Akari said after looking at Hikaru.
"Nah. Not only me. You too," Hikaru replied with a grin then a smile. Just his lips. There was still a hint of sadness in his eyes. After that Hikaru started to tell Akari about Sai. About his greatest selfishness. The first. Because he realized that even after that he did another great selfishness.
How happy Akari was because she managed to collect the puzzles she had been collecting and put them together. Even though it's still incomplete, it can't be as complete as the memory that Hikaru has with Sai, but Akari was very happy. Because Hikaru trusted her. And she replied to his trust with the sentence, "You are lucky because you are destined to meet and create memories that only both of you have."
But somehow Hikaru still showed a sad face. "I've always been selfish," muttered Hikaru, "and this selfishness of mine is really…"
Akari hugged Hikaru. She still tried to comfort him, but she felt unable to. The only one who could comfort Hikaru for losing Sai was only Sai. And Sai could not return to his side. Akari could only tell him to believe in these things, "Sai must really love you, Hikaru. Otherwise, he wouldn't teach you what he loves: Go. You love him too, right? That way don't worry, you two will definitely see each other again."
Hikaru just nodded. He also wanted to believe it.

Love Only Me
Hikaru couldn't believe himself who had just said, "Akari, if I leave you first, don't you ever love another man…"
Akari was a bit surprised after hearing those words. Leave? Didn't she hear wrong? "What are you saying, Hikaru?" She asked.
Hikaru touched his mouth with a shaking hand. He himself was surprised. What did he just say? "How could it be, Akari… how could I be this selfish?" His tears flowed as he realized that he was truly selfish. He should have said please find another love if he was no longer by her side.
Seeing her beloved husband suddenly crying so hard that his body was trembling, Akari hugged him while also crying. Her tears were flowing too. What's this? What is going on?? Why are you like this, Hikaru!?
"Baka, don't you understand your wife yet?" Akari complained between her sobs, "I've never loved another man and it's impossible for me to love another man!"
Hikaru couldn't stop crying. He felt really bad. He selfishly prayed to God that he would never feel lost again, that he would be the one who will leave first. But this time he is not willing that the person he loves, whom he will leave behind, loves another man.
Akari was confused about how to stop Hikaru from crying. Hugs and kisses and words didn't manage in calming her husband.

Leave First
Hikaru looked at Akari intensely. Her angelic face, that had looked exhausted before, currently looked peaceful. Hikaru rubbed her head gently so that Akari sighed a little moan. Oops, did Hikaru wake her up? It turned out that Akari just smiled for a moment in her sleep.  This afternoon she was really exhausted because of her busy activities at home and school.
"I will always forgive all his mistakes… I hope because of that, he won't forget me when I leave him first," Akari said to one of her friends, fellow working mothers, that afternoon. Hikaru just overheard.
Leave? Do you intend to leave my side? Hikaru's eyes suddenly warmed up. Don't say that. Don't be so mean. You know how much I depend on you. "I can't be without you," whispered Hikaru. He realized his eyes were wet.
Their marriage was already 15 years old. This year too, Akari didn't ask Hikaru to celebrate their anniversary. Hikaru has to fly to America, while Akari has to complete a task according to plans for opening a new class at school.
It was always Hikaru who left her. Left where she can't reach. Since they got married, Akari has never left him. Akari is always there for him as a place to go home, a place to rest and relax.  As far as Akari had left, Hikaru could still reach her at will. Any time.
But this time she intends to go to a place that is very far and unreachable by him. He understood what she meant by leave. Because he knew her love was too big to leave him on purpose.
"God, allow me to leave first…" he prayed in confession, "because I'm not as strong as grandpa."

Because of Memories
"Grandpa, aren't you lonely?" Hikaru asked. After his grandmother died, Hikaru visited his grandfather at his house.
"That's why I'm glad you came to visit me, Hikaru," replied Heihachi-san with a smile. He loves to get visits from his family.
"What if grandpa lives with us?" Asked Hikaru, "Sai must be very happy!"
"Masao and Mitsuko also asked me to live with them," Heihachi-san responded with a light laugh. The worries of his son and grandson seem to be the same.
"Then why grandpa…?"
"Hikaru, I can't leave memories with your grandma," Heihachi-san answered before Hikaru finished his question. "It's okay. Come here often, stay here when you can."
"Grandpa…"
"Love your wife, Hikaru, before you realize that her existence is the biggest and most important by your side," Heihachi-san advised. His face sank as he said it. He was remembering his wife. All her kindness, love, and sacrifice. "You'll realize how much she means after you lose her."
Hikaru knew it very well. He had experienced the hardest loss. And he felt unable to feel the loss again. Losing someone so meaningful in his life. "I understand, Grandpa," he said.

The current genre is slice of life, isn't it? This genre may be less attractive to some readers, but writers in this genre do long contemplation before they write. Yup, not only imagining, but also contemplating. Thinking of one of the meanings of life, maybe his own life or someone else's that the writer wants to portray.
But actually for me, the story about Sai as a ghost is fantasy genre. Because in my belief the soul or spirit of a person who has died exists in another realm, cannot return to this realm. Even if someone ever met and talked with the spirits of the dead, it was only through dreams. If it happens in this world, then the person being talked to is another creature (have you ever heard of jinn or genie?) that resembles the dead person.
Hmm, looks like I've involved too much of my faith in my fanfics, huh. But only a small part really. Like just a glance. Are you interested? Look again at what I said in the previous "writer talk" (after the first "hikaru no ai" ended; before "hikaaki" started). I once mentioned the majority belief represented by 3 beliefs. Mine is one of them.
Btw, I'm used to writing romantic stories, but only for women and girls (you can say it: shoujo-josei). Actually, to explore romantic stories in the slice of life genre feels warmer and more real. It's not that I don't like writing. It's just that I need more time for it.
Don't be disappointed just yet. Because there are still a few more chapters. Romantic chapters. Something like that. Some moments of Hikaru x Akari, but I don't want to leave Akira and Sai. I also want to write a little about grandpa because he is a warm character that I like in hikago. He's actually suitable to be placed in the slice of life genre, but it seems I really need to stop writing fanfics here. Sorry.

In Our Dream (2)
"I haven't found the divine move you're saying to me, Sai," Hikaru said to the figure he met in his dream, "but I feel like I've found another divine move."
As usual. The figure didn't say anything and only responded with just an expression. Even so, Hikaru did not stop talking to him. He wished he could hear that voice he longed for once more. Maybe. Someday.
"Tell me, Sai, can we really meet again?" asked Hikaru. He wanted to believe it. But he was too afraid to believe it. Because by believing in eternal happiness, he must also believe in something else: endless suffering.
That suffering is the price that must be paid by sinners who cannot atone for all their mistakes with the good deeds they have done. And one of the big mistakes that is difficult to atone for is suicide. This deed stops the good that someone still might be able to do.
"Sai…" of course it's not only Sai that he loves. He has a lot of love in his heart. Love that does not betray other love. But Sai was there, still there, deep in his heart. "I hope God gives you a third chance to live," said Hikaru, "if you get the chance, please do it this time: live well." Sai nodded in agreement.
Without Hikaru knowing, more than a thousand years ago, Sai also had a similar dream. "I don't know the reason," said Sai. Hikaru in his dream just smiled. "but this time, this chance, I will live well. I hope that then we will still have a chance to meet in the next life."
