i love it when The Character wishes for something and undergoes horrific transformation that technically grants that wish except its fully just a curse now

#I tend to generally try to keep series together #that’s really just it #if a series is in a universe like the Percy Jackson series and the surrounding series I keep those together #but otherwise? #art books are with art books #I have a full shelf dedicated to the Pokémon Adventures manga series (which is really good btw) and that’s only up to Diamond and Pearl #I haven’t gotten too many new books recently but eventually I’ll reorganize it to be a bit better #like I dunno by series and author? #as much as colour would be very satisfying to sort by #my autistic ass would not be able to deal with not having series together if they have diff colours per book

It's always risky killing off a character but if you have to, you must have them HAUNT the narrative. Let their death and absence be constantly felt at some level.

i love when characters don't get to die

I think it's normal - nay, healthy - to be a little bit obsessed with your own story.

obsessed with characters being saved against their will. being knocked unconscious and carried away from a danger they won't stop trying to fight. being shoved through a portal somewhere far away and safe right before it closes. trying to self-sacrifice only to have the exact person they're trying to save swap their places at the last second. getting the only cure to the disease or curse bc the person administering it loves them too much to give it to anyone else, including themselves. being thrown to safety right as they had accepted dying. someone else they thought had gotten to safety running back to drag them out of danger. it's so fucking tasty

i really love when a character, calmly and completely earnestly, is like i’m not important, i’m no one really, just a blade that people use and throw away. no one remembers me for long after i leave their life. and then you look at the evidence and it turns out that every person who meets them becomes permanently obsessed with them, for better and for worse, and the character has somehow completely missed this fact
