Happy six months since I started playing SSO! the time is finally here, we're gonna see how far I can get tonight in the main storyline. Goal: finally free Linda (and maybe the rest?)

Things I've learnt playing main story yesterday, in no particular order:

I was about 15 minutes of playtime away from freeing Linda these past six months

Even before freeing Linda I could've unlocked mistfall, the one area that I couldn't get into.

Dayblockers are 100% still a thing, and deeply annoying

When the dayblockers aren't there it's a different type of annoying, mostly in the shape of absolutely botched dialogue and also the fact the game is incapable of keeping track of where npcs are (Alex kept jumpscaring me by popping in and out of existence, notably being Right There as Linda talked abt waiting for Alex to get back)

Introduction quests to area's you can get to without doing the introduction quests are funny (Firgrove introduction). Introduction quests in the main storyline to area's that have their own standalone introduction quests are funnier (Ydris's circus)

The problem with morality in sso is that you have no option to be evil on purpose, and most evil characters are written badly enough that it's Really clear when MC is helping the bad guys by accident, making it just a Fascinatingly Dumb thing to happen (helping out Sabine kidnapping Justin, having Zero questions about giving magical five-leaf clovers (which. aren't that rare at all.) to a Literal Witch).

Mistfall is Very very pretty, I get why a lot of people put their home stable there.

Somehow the dialogue makes "experienced rider" sound like a slur to me. Maybe I am but how would you know, girl who's been locked up in a castle for six months

Ydris calling me horsewoman right before/after killing my internet connection and thus both my stream and my game, however, sounds like he knows I have a tumblr and had to get my url past the sso chat censor.

Star Stable is so fun because the controls always work all the time and the hitboxes make sense and the races are good and the controls work and the controls work and the controls work and the controls work and the controls work

had no internet for the last few days but you know what I did have? a bunch of screenshots and the ability to play the sims. and then this happened. south hoof farm in the sims!! I started this like two weeks ago and got the shells of the buildings done and then in the last three days I just hammered the entire thing out and finished it. autism moment or smth idk

unlike my moorland stables build, I did take some creative liberties, mainly because even on the largest sims lot size I still had some trouble squeezing everything in, but I LOVE how it turned out

trying soso hard to be positive about the game. and the equestian festival is very fun so far and the hollow woods update is Amazing but also.

what in the fresh fucking hell do you mean this game has been around for TWELVE YEARS with every single individual tack item (and. lets probably be honest. clothing probably works the same way doesn't it. fuck.) being it's own individual horse model.

i Need to know how exactly this works when you put multiple tack items on a horse. please tell me a horse model is not actually EIGHT horse models layered on top of each other. no wonder different tack and clothing items will clip into each other. how much fucking space would it save the game if it didn't need to load an infinite amount of combinations of tack and clothing all on top of each other, fully horse-sized.

we should be nicer to staff, bc clearly at least some of them are working hard behind the scenes to make this a somewhat functional game. instead we should hunt down whoever came up with this fucking idea to begin with and Explode them with Hammers. i want this guy to hear tom&jerry music slowly get louder in the distance. what the fuck.
