Sorry this took so long 😭😭😭 I'll try to do Moscow faster but no promises bc life is busy. Also I can't think of a better way to post these on tumblr but if you need a more accessible version let me know and I can email you a copy of the document or something.

me trying to explain that a house is a human and living in a house is the same thing as being eaten by a human so living in a house is cannibalism

been reading a lot of haunted/sentient house books in the past couple years, and i've encountered 3 main types of narrative: 1) the house loves you and that's a good thing 2) the house loves you and that's a bad thing and 3) the house hates you and that's a bad thing. this leaves a gap for a potential fourth type of story-- the house hates you and that's a good thing. excited to see if hauntologists delve into this quadrant and what it looks like if they do

enough hating on johnny truant just because he rambles about sex, that reason is so overdone it’s become boring. it’s time to hate on him for something more reasonable such as the fact he keeps using “should/could/would of” instead of “should/could/would have”

P. sure I'm getting the definitive intended experience of House of Leaves with this old ass copy from our university library. The cryptic notes scribbled in the margins really adds to the experience.

we tell you, tapping on our brows,
the story as it should be,---
as if the story of a house
were told, or ever could be.
