I'm trying to connect to a Cisco VPN (IPSec) gateway, using Mint 14.1 with MATE.

When I click on the network icon in the Panel, and then go to VPN Connections -> Configure VPN -> Add, I get the Choose a VPN Connection Type dialog, but the only connection type it offers is PPTP. I installed vpnc, which as far as I know is what I need to connect to Cisco VPN. But even after the installation and a reboot, still no option other than PPTP. I used to have this working under Ubuntu 10.04, but after replacing the hard drive in my laptop, I can't look at that anymore, and besides, I don't remember having to install anything besides vpnc in order to get this to work then. But of course I'm probably wrong.
