12. Favorite book genre? & 39. What recharges them when theyโre feeling drained?

12. Favorite book genre?
Romance, duh!
But of course not your go-to love story, no. As per the definition, "a romance" can also be defined as "a fictitious narrative in prose or verse; the interest of which turns upon marvelous and uncommon incidents".
We're talking about some deep shit here.
The way I see it, "The Sorceress' Knight" might have been a novel in the (historical) romance department, written similar to Ivanhoe which as well "maintains many of the elements of the Romance genre, including the quest, a chivalric setting, and the overthrowing of a corrupt social order to bring on a time of happiness".
Sound familiar?
I'm getting a bit off topic here but to me, Seifer used to be one of those boys that read a fantastic story in their childhood which influenced them to such a degree his life became a twisted re-telling of said story. Ivanhoe and the historical romance genre seem to be exactly where I'd place The Sorceress' Knight as well.
I can see him read thriller or horror genres too, though. In general, the fact that he'd sit down and read prose hints at him being quite well-read and interested in reading in general.
39. What recharges them when theyโre feeling drained?
That heavily depends on the type of drained he feels.
He is definitely one of those people who will go for a hard workout to replenish his batteries, provided he doesn't feel physically drained. If so, I can see him going fishing, just sitting by himself and enjoying his thing, maybe even with one of the aforementioned books.
(Funny how both reading and fishing, which are canon things he does, are also hobbys that require alone time. You wouldn't necessarily think that's something he enjoys doing but here we are.)

Irvine: Are you sure you arenโt dating Seifer?
Squall: If I am, I certainly wasnโt informed of it.
Quistis: To be fair, if any of us were dating someone without realizing it, it would be you.

Zell: You and Squall are dating right?
Seifer: Fuck yeah we are!
