Being a slight med geek, I looked up what paracetamol dose when you have a fever; it only lowers your temperature by blocking chemical messengers from reaching your brain, alas lowering your fever-
I sometimes don't realize how advanced technology and medicine are nowadays.
Based off of @tbtwo hoodie designs, years ago I told myself I would make this and I finally did! This is one of my favourite things I've ever made, it's so cosy! I want to make more :D

The Kat Cavanaugh Interview: Biologically, Emotionally, Legally c2: John
Just a note that I'm very aware adoption doesn't happen quite like this.
Chapter 1 | AO3
Kat Cavanaugh: That’s such a sad story.
Scott: It sure is, but there is a happy ending.
Kat: We all hope so.
Audience murmurs in agreement
Scott: So, let me tell you about John…
Watching Scott grow, take his first steps, form his own personality…they loved every minute of it. And when Scott began kindergarten at four Lucy began to miss having a child around the house.
At the end of the week Scott asked the question his parents both hoped he’d never ask.
‘Why has Harry got a brother and I don’t?’
At the sight of his Mom dissolving into tears a horrified Scott soon joined her, even if he didn’t understand why either of them were crying. Jeff scooped them both up into a hug and once they had all calmed down Jeff and Lucy tried hard to explain to Scott why he didn’t have siblings.
He must have understood to a certain degree for he didn’t ask again for quite a while.
When Jeff and Lucy mentioned it to Val and Lee, Val asked why they didn’t adopt. It hadn’t been a consideration before, the pair had been too wrapped up in Scott and making sure he didn’t have any long-term issues from such a premature birth.
The more they thought about it, the more they fell in love with the idea. All they needed to do was to talk to Scott about it. Lucy especially worried about how he would adapt to the idea since they had already told him having a brother wasn’t an option, but once they had sat him down and explained that he could become a big brother after all Scott was ecstatic.
Every day he asked if his baby brother was coming home today.
And then one day, when Scott was six and a half, the call came. There was a child without parents, part of a trio of kids, and would they like to come over and see them?
Scott bounced the entire way. Lucy fondly explained that they would not be allowed to keep all three children, and they laughed at Scott’s pout. He soon forgot all about his being upset and got more excited as they got closer.
Jeff took Scott to one side to explain that the children would be tired and may be a little frightened so he would need to go slow, and he was happy when Scott nodded that he understood.
They were huddled together on a large couch when they entered. The first thing Lucy noticed were bright green eyes and vivid ginger hair. The eyes were staring at her, and she didn’t fail to notice the arms tighten around the other two children.
She sat on the couch opposite and Jeff sat beside her, but Scott was bold and hoisted himself up beside the three. The ginger kid eyed him warily. Scott stared back boldly and smiled.
‘Hi. I’m Scott.’
Lucy decided the middle child couldn’t be older than three or four. He sat watching Scott, ignoring both adults but not talking to their son. Scott chatted away. He was now telling the boy what he was currently learning in school, and if Lucy wasn’t too mistaken the kid was actually beginning to relax.
They stayed for three hours. By the end of the visit Scott and John were sitting together chatting. Jeff wasn’t sure about separating John from the other children, but when he went to discuss that with the person who had introduced them he had been assured that they were not related but had ended up together after their parents had all killed in the same accident. They were further reassured that homes had been lined up for all three children, and since Jeff and Lucy were the first to attend, and they could clearly see the rapport Scott and John shared it looked like they could settle to adopting John after all the legalities were met.
Separating the two boys was awful, both ending up crying and clinging to each other, and only many, many promises that they would be back tomorrow eventually settled the pair.
John came home with them by the end of the week. Lucy glanced in the rear-view mirror, watching her two boys tangled up in a tight hug and fast asleep on Jeff’s lap.
