Will looked at him an eyebrow raised as Mike basked and got a little cocky. However, it wasn't one that was judgemental, not in a bad way at least. So a little bit judgemental but the way they could be with one another, and for Will he couldn't do that with anyone else because no one got him like Mike did. He then turned red as Mike turned it back on him, and looked away, bashful. He didn't even know how to respond because Mike took all the words from Will's mouth with just a few of his. After a moment of Will being able to collect himself, "But you're the greatest," he finally came to purposefully skipping the middle step of greater in order to hopefully not let Mike get an upper hand on him. Will was going to compliment the other, and hopefully get Mike to take it.

┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ♥︎ . *. ⋆ IF THE WARMTH FROM WILL'S HANDS wasn't enough to make mike's face grow hot all over, his next comment certainly was. he'd never really seen will get testy or cocky with other people in his life, and it made mike feel special that this seemed to be something that only the two of them shared together. PLENTY of other things were, too, but the bond they already had, the safety and comfort they could only find within each other ... special didn't even begin to scratch the surface in describing what it was they had.

ooc: *sips tea* will the music snob would not like t-swift. I think he would find alot of her calculated moves unnecessary such as making four vinyls that are different in looks and stuff just so fans can create a clock or whatever, or releasing two albums only saying your releasing one and having fans buy both because the other was a "surprise". I just don't see him getting behind that mentality of the music industry. I think he admires her song writing ability, and her as an artist. But nothing more. I also think her fans who call her better than Michael Jackson and the Beatles and other female artists like Beyonce would get on his nerves. And I don't think he would like how her fans to tend attack anyone with an opposing view, that would send him even farther away from even remotely liking her. If he can't like the people he would supposedly go to a concert with (like he can afford concert tickets or if he would actually go but this is a hypothetical) then its not worth it. Mind you Will is a self proclaimed music snob, because he was largely influenced by Jonathan, which isn't an issue. He can appreciate her song writing ability and not like her as a musician. You can appreciate parts and not the whole.

on a different note with my penchant for now making two drawings that were supposedly from will in the gravity falls style... im gonna say he would absolutely find it a fun style to draw in, but his finalized style is definitely more comic book like... i think a good simplified version of his finalized style for comics is similar to the young justice tv show... i do think he prefers realism though and in college and such probably makes a name for himself with realistic horror.. so much horror it becomes a joke in the art department then will uses like actual photos and news paper clippings from home in a piece and suddenly its not so funny anymore. he also makes a piece entirely about his missing poster and milk carton kids

ooc: will would have hated the prequel star wars movies when they first came out... but like after three to five years he really actually appreciates them when he gets to watch them and not have expectations of "new star wars movies" put on them.

He looked at Mike, albeit a bit sadly when he said that nothing else would be taken. There wasn't much else to take if you asked Will. Well their was, but Will was afraid if he admitted it, it would just make it reality that it would be taken from him. He didn't want his free will taken again. But that was only one small thing on the list of things Will worried about losing. "You can't really guarantee that can you Mike?" he asked, in almost a negative way, but Will was trying to be realistic here. He wasn't really in the mood for false hope at the moment. He looked at Mike, and maybe he wouldn't. "I don't want him hurting anyone anymore." Will was not the only victim of him anymore. He was not special in those regards anymore.

┊ ┊ ┊ ┊ ♥︎ . *. ⋆ AS OPEN AS WILL WAS WITH mike, and how happy he felt that the other could trust him even during his most difficult moments, knowing just what he was up against, what he was experiencing, never failed to send that familiar dagger of PAIN for the other straight through his heart. he'd already been through so much; he didn't need this quite literal shadow over his life in the aftermath of it all, still able to feel his presence, to know exactly what he was feeling and being unable to turn it off. mike instinctively reaches out to place a comforting hand over will's forearm, giving him a reassuring SQUEEZE.

��� ... whatever happens next, wherever we go from here ... just know that no matter what, we will not let him take anything else from you. ❞ he desperately, desperately wanted it to be a promise, but given how UNCERTAIN the future seemed for all of them, for everyone, it was difficult to even mentally make the promise. ❝ he won't be able to hurt you forever. and we're going to make it so he can't anymore. ❞

He looked down as Mike spoke. And it made him think about things. He would probably be in a similar way. Except he felt like his entire life would be entirely different since so much of it dealt with not denying what people said but not confirming it either, well not in public. He was still working through that in private.

Will tended to agree, but also that is what made things scary and stressful for him. He could do one thing perceived wrong and suddenly there would be a target on him. He felt it the most in California, where it was easy to just lay low. But that didn't mean he went unnoticed. He just had to be so careful. It was stressful. And for the longest time he kept it to himself, til now really. "You don't think you would have found someone?" he asked, really quite innocently. Mike's happiness was important to Will, one of the most important things.

ESPECIALLY SINCE this world they were living in ... it was hostile to people like them, to people with their affections. which was probably why he had such a strong gut reaction to the next thing will said, able to BITE IT BACK before it could come falling out. even if what their bullies taunted and harassed them with may have ended up being true, it didn't mean he had to accept the negative connotations that came along with those insults. negative connotations that mike was now almost fairly certain weren't true, or at least intrinsically LINKED to their affections for one another.

he sighed, letting the weight of will's next query sink over his shoulders. where should he even begin in explaining himself. those icy claws of dread began piercing at the tender flesh of his insides, hoping that he'd be able to coherently voice his position without giving the impression that his feelings weren't true, that his feelings were NOVEL. because, by god, were they not. ❝ ... i mean, well ... maybe i would've known, but i don't think i would've done anything with my feelings. i think i would have just ... succumbed to my own self-hatred and confusion instead. but ... it's much better to own it, and i don't think i would have owned it and become happy with that part of myself if not for you. ❞
