Shown above is Bonnie Parker. Despite the picture shown Bonnie didn’t smoke cigars. However she did love camel cigarettes. She also never killed anyone. It is still debated among historians if she every used a gun. Bonnie hated the picture shown above and hated the way it affected her image. She posed for this picture as a joke when Gang member W.D. Jones handed her his unlit cigar just for fun. Eventually when the gang’s Joplin apartment was raided, the camera film was found and the picture, plus many other pictures, were sent to the newspaper. Thus the legend of Bonnie and Clyde became popular and so did the idea that Bonnie Parker was a gun moll who smoked cigars.
