life update, i think???

so like, long time no see amirite.

where to begin. number one, sorry for promising a new blurb and then disappearing. i've had possibly the longest 4 months ever, and life has a funny way of knocking u down the minute you feel like you can get back into routine. i lost someone very close to me, panicking about graduating college, looking for a big girl job, all the things that make life very hard. i just want everyone to know i haven't forgotten about this, and while it's been a long road, here we are! so- what now?

well...i don't know. i have intentions to come back and tend to this blog, but it's very hard to motivate myself to write these days with everything going on. the summer is around the corner, i'm not putting writing at the top of my priority list, but it's always something i've enjoyed, so i won't say there won't be new content coming. but who knows!

i want to thank everyone for the messages they've sent checking in, or even just saying hey. i appreciate u guys so much. and even if i'm not writing, i'm def going to start using this blog more just to say hey, and talk about harry, or taylor lol im gonna see her in july, so supes excited for that.

i've missed you all very much. and im sorry if i've disappointed any of you. don't be strangers, we can chat about anything and hopefully i'll have something for you all soon

Would you write a blurb based off the two times blurb? Kind of elaborating why Harry would cheat on Liv a second time. I know in wyd pt2 he said he went after Thea because she was the closest thing to Liv but Harry was still married to Liv when he cheated on her again so I’m curious as to why

i've kinda resigned myself to leaving WYD harry's reasoning for cheating at him just being an asshole who wasn't ready to commit, so he did the only thing he knew he could never come back from.

i am ok! however, i have been going through it to the fullest extent of the phrasing.

i've just started my final year in college, which is all very exciting! however, it does not leave me much time to write in my free time :( i also distanced myself alot from harry around the spring, but don't worry darling kicked me back into full gear. won't get into the drama w all that noise, but the long and short of it is i am ready to be back and i'm hoping to have a blurb weekend so we can chop it up and i can shake the rust off of my writing!!!! i've missed u guys!!! and i see u!!!

i need ppl to see the bigger picture about why it’s upsetting that kiki layne was cut out of the movie–beyond “she’s far more important to that plot than bunny smoking and drinking”. like even if you added in more scenes, the woman was not given a fleshed out story in the slightest. what would more empty scenes achieve? what is the cost of visibility when you’re treated as nothing more than an omen to to the leading lady? 

her character was used as a half-baked plot device to further florence’s character’s story, all while showing extremely graphic self harm and violence towards the only black woman in the movie. the issue is so far beyond screen time and what’s been making people angry. they cashed in a diversity token just to brutalize a character they gave no time to develop. thriller and horror genres do not just have to be about violence and blood and gore. it’s about instilling an uncomfortability and fear that doesn’t have to include from physical violence. A better writer and a better director would understand that and make conscious steps to build suspense or fear in more psychological ways than just witnessing harm.

seriously, you really don’t see anyone else harmed nearly as much as kiki’s character and if that was social commentary, they shat the bed and did nothing to expand and build that case.
