Zehpyr was chilling on the couch, but there was a knock on the door, so she set her juice down on the coffee table, and got up to answer the door. She was about to open the door just as her Dad came zooming around the corner with half a bagel in his hand. "Dad? What the hell were you doing in your room?" Zephyr asked as she unhooked the door chain, and opened the door which revealed Freddie Benson.
Mr Lincoln shoved the bagel into his mouth, he simply grins at his daughter before making an appearance, "Heyo, Freddy. What..." the man greeted, before he noticed that the smaller man looked like he was about ready to cry.
Zephyr shoved her Dad to the side, "Red," she breathed as she saw the tears collecting in his eyes, she gently reached out towards him, and he slowly wrapped his arms around her in return.
She didn't really know much about what has been going on lately with Freddie, but she's noticed that he hasn't really been himself since the whole Taco Truck incident with Carly. Zephyr felt hot tears falling onto her shoulder, and she gently pulled him into the apartment, while her father picked up his crutches as they fell from his grip.
"Freddie, what's wrong?" Mr Lincoln asked as Zephyr began to rub the younger man's back in circles.
It took Freddie a moment to compose himself, but Mr Lincoln closed the front door just as Freddie pulled himself away from Zephyr. "Can I spend the night?" He asked.
Mr Lincoln never really liked the idea of his youngest daughter having any boys in her room, but Freddie was an exception as the young man always had Zephyr's best interest at heart. "Honey?!" Mr Lincoln called out for his wife who was busy tending to her make-up in the bathroom.
Freddie hobbled his way over to the couch, he sat down on the sofa as Zephyr took the boy's crutches from her father who made his way over to the hall where Zephyr's mother was standing. "I broke up with Carly," Freddie admits as he glances over at Zephyr.
"Freddie, Darling... if you need anything from us, just let us know. You are always welcome to spend the night, we trust that you and Zephyr won't break our rules," Mrs Lincoln says as she makes her very own appearance.
Zephyr's mouth was wide open as she stared at Freddie, who all but looked sheepishly up at Mrs Lincoln. "Thanks, Mrs L," he says as he watches the older woman make her way back into the hallway, taking Mr Lincoln by the ear and dragging him with her.
"You broke up with Carly? Why?" Zephyr asked once the two of them were alone. "I thought it was your life-long dream to date Carly, and later become her second husband," she snorts as she reaches for her glass of juice that was sitting on the coffee table.
Freddie chuckled darkly as he leaned back into the couch, "She was only in it because I risked my life to save hers, she never really loved me like I loved her..." Freddie murmured as he feels Zephyr lean back into the couch, feeling her nestle into his side.
Zephyr nodded as she felt Freddie's arm fall to rest around her shoulders, "Oh, so you think she has something like Stockholm Syndrome, but more like Damsel in Distress Syndrome?" She says as she lowered the volume of the TV as she conversed with Freddie.
Freddie nodded, "She thinks she's in love with me, only because I had pushed her out of harms way and got hurt myself... not only that but I think she has some sort of Saviour complex," he answered as he sighed into her hair.
Zephyr remained still as she felt Freddie take a whiff, and she slowly lifted her head to look up into his eyes. "What's gonna happen then?" She asked softly as she met his sad gaze.
Freddie sighed heavily and he pressed a kiss to her temple, "I don't know, but I know that as long as I have you with me... I'll be fine," he mumbled as he closed his eyes and rested his lips against her head.
Zephyr hummed quietly, and then she gently nudged his head aside so that she could get to his lips. She carefully pressed her lips against his own, letting her free hand come to rest on the back of his head.
Freddie's eyes widened, and his eyes fluttered close as he relaxed himself into the kiss.
Zephyr's head suddenly snapped into reality and she yanked herself away from him. She scrambled off the couch and pulled herself to a standing position about a few inches from him, "I am so so so so so so sorry, I have no idea what got into me, I swear to God that I didn't mean to kiss you all of a sudden and out of the blue, I just felt so bad that you broke up with Carly, and that you're so so sad, I'm gonna go get something to eat... do you want anything to eat?" Zephyr babbled as she started backing away from the couch, and into the kitchen.
Freddie blinked as Zephyr pulled away from the kiss, he hadn't really thought about Zephyr in this way. Zephyr never showed much of an interest in him growing up, even when they started getting older, and they had more understanding of their feelings. When his best friend began to ramble and babble, he finally realised that maybe Zephyr did have feelings for him this entire time.
"Wait, wait, wait, Zephyr. What's going on?" Freddie asked as he grabbed his crutches and hobbled into the kitchen after her.
Zephyr didn't turn around as she opened her fridge and began to dig through it for something to make. She felt Freddie grab her arm and spin her around to face him, she squeaked as he pressed her against the now closed fridge.
"Oh, Freddie... hi," she squeaks.
Freddie chuckled and dipped his head down to avoid her gaze for a moment. "Hi, Sweetheart..." he said sweetly, he glances back up into her eyes, "What was that about?" He asked her.
Zephyr's cheeks turned bright red as he got closer to her, "What was what about?" She asked.
"The Kiss?" He reminded her.
Zephyr's eyes go wide, "Oh, the kiss... the kiss... would you believe me if I said it was an accident?" She chuckled in embarassment.
Freddie burst into laughter and let his head fall onto her shoulder, "I- Sweetheart, no," he snorted. "I don't believe that the kiss was an accident, nobody would kiss me like that accidentally," he told her.
"STOP CALLING ME SWEETHEART!" Zephyr snapped as she gently pushed him off of her and ducked underneath his arm. "Freddie, you can sleep in my room tonight. But, I think Imma sleep in my brother's room tonight," she said as walked backwards towards the stairs.
Freddie swivled around on his good foot, "Swee-ZEPHYR, stop this," he said as he attempted to follow after her. "You can't run away from this," he tells her as he started hobbling up the stairs.

Freddie hadn't seen Zephyr for about two weeks since the whole incident that led to them sharing a kiss. He hated not being able to see her, she usually came over to see him after the show and they would later go to his apartment to watch some galaxy type movie.
Freddie hobbled his way into the Shay Apartment, Carly and Sam were on the couch talking about the different ideas for their webcast that following evening. "Hey," he said as he closed the door to their apartment, "Sorry, I'm late. I was trying to find out where Zephyr was," he apologised.
Sam glances over her shoulder at Freddie, "Who the hell is Zephyr?" She asked.
Carly chuckled, "Zephyr lives down the hall from Freddie," she explained.
"Zephyr sounds geeky," Sam commented.
"You've met her," Carly told her.
Sam raised an eyebrow, "I did? Oh yeah, she's that black-haired chick isn't she?" She remembered.
Freddie rolled his eyes and pulled his phone out, "Zeph, isn't geeky. In fact she constantly insults me like you do," Freddie muttered as he saw that Zephyr read his message but didn't respond.
Carly raised an eyebrow, "Why are you defending her? I thought you hated people insulting you," she asked.
"Don't worry about it," Freddie muttered.

Freddie hobbled around with the camera. While he tried his hardest to stop thinking about what happened two weeks back, he attempted to focus more on the webshow.
"Alright, and to conclude this webshow, Freddie has a couple of things to tell that special someone of his!" Carly suddenly announced.
"What?" Sam said.
"Come on, Freddie," Carly urged.
Freddie raised an eyebrow but he switched the POV to the standing camera, and he came hobbling to stand between Carly and Sam. "Freddie here hasn't been the same for the past two weeks, so I thought that if he had the chance to say what he wanted on camera that he could feel a little bit better," Carly said as she wiggled her eyebrows.
"Ew, gross, feelings," Sam gagged as Freddie rolled his eyes.
Carly flicked her in the forehead, "Sam, shut it!" She snapped. "Go on, Freddie," she says sweetly.
Freddie sighed softly, and he rubbed the back of his head. "Look, I didn't want to say any names but I miss them... well, I miss you," he said towards the camera.
"Who ya talking about there Freddo?" Sam teased as she poked his side.
Freddie waved her hands away, "Shut up," he muttered, "anyway, about nine years ago, I met a girl and got lost in her smile. Now that kiss from her lips? Damn, she was on fire. Like the sunset in her eyes, and when she looked back into mine? Yeah, you found me the reason why I lost my heartbreak," he said as he looked back into the camera.
