What this looks like right now in the US, May Day 2024:

Join an encampment/occupation. Know the risks, have safety gear, and stay dangerous.

Attend solidarity marches or displays outside encampments. Phonebank universities to apply outside pressure As A Concerned Citizen. Make it as uncomfortable and difficult as possible for cops to do violence to students in an encampment.

Make & distribute bulk food, order/dumpster/have donated pizza sent to campus, get hygiene items or other specific needed supplies in your area to an encampment. Participating in jail support is also roughly on this tier of action.

Donate to bail funds and encampment supply drives, or evacuation funds for Palestinians.

Have a conversation with someone who's on the fence or hostile to Palestinian liberation - the more people see this as a genocide rather than a war, the more people may be willing to act. Maybe print & distribute some zines about it. Maybe send your aunt a news article.

For every person on the ground at a campus occupation, there oughta be at least two doing support work. Figure out your personal capacity, work with likeminded friends, and find a way to help. A better world is possible, and we can make it happen together.

If you can directly damage the enemy or their profits, do so.

If you can't directly damage the enemy, go to a protest or event.

If you can't go to a protest or event, support those who do by providing food, transportation, and/or other needs.

If you can't directly support protesters, donate to those who do.

If you can't donate, get to know the people around you, and talk with them about building a better world.

Ask yourself: what is one more thing I can do to help fight back? Then, do that thing.

If you are participating in protests, encampments, or occupations, you should understand how to dress to minimize your risk factors.

Most importantly—if you wish to protect your privacy, you will need an outfit that conceals your identifying features. You should change into it in a location that is not under surveillance, wear it for the entire duration of the activity, then change out of it in a location that is also not surveilled. You should not be seen with any elements of the outfit before or after.
