Economic Side of Destination Weddings
Budgeting is one of the most important things when it comes to planning a wedding. For many reasons, destination weddings can be much more cost effective than a conventional wedding in your hometown. Caribya.com (http://caribya.com/jamaica/weddings/budgeting.and.planning/) highlights the costs that can be expected for your wedding in Jamaica.

While costs can be customized according to what you’re looking for, this chart breaks down what the most common wedding related expenses tend to be. Depending on what items are most important to your preferences, you can pick and choose which areas you’d like to spend more on and which areas you’d like to cut back on. The numbers above are based on what other couples have spent on their own wedding days.
How Much Did You Say for a Canadian Wedding?
The average wedding in Canada costs roughly $30,000, which is about half the average income. Even by cutting costs, you will still fork about $20,000 on the low end, but why settle for anything less than perfect on an event that will hopefully be once in a lifetime. In fact, one of the most expensive part of the wedding is the wedding photographer. The average price of a wedding photographer is about $2,500 for half a day of photography on the low end, and anywhere from $4000 to $6000 on the high end (“2019 Average Price.” n.d.). When planning a destination wedding in Jamaica, a wedding photographer costly less than a fraction of the price, and the money saved can be utilised elsewhere to make the dream wedding all the better.
