Colossal 

Colossal is a science fiction black comedy about a woman who moves back to her home town and it come apparent that she has alot more to do with recent monster attacks in the city of Seoul. When I first watched this film it definitely went in a completely different direction to where I was expecting. In terms of monster design, it is certainly interesting. Although this thing is causing massive amounts of destruction and killing thousands of people, its face resembles a slight kindness, like the look of a puppy. Meaning that we as the viewer can gradually feel sorry for this being as the plot develops. It definitely uses elements of Japanese Kaiju's, for example Godzilla. A resemblance that although uses a slight amount of similarities, was still deemed to close, and was therefore sued by the creator of Godzilla.
