House Plants
I have a confused Christmas cactus, but its colors are exquisite. Maybe this one knows I’m working on holiday designs.

Never not knitting
The yarn goes ever on. I like where it’s leading me.

This is pretty far from what I want for my next design, but it’s cute and makes me smile. I can’t hate that. 😆

An infrequent sighting of the reclusive male knitting designer, squinting in the sun upon leaving the comfort of his studio to find supplies.

Tiny Socks
Sock Ornaments 1-6 is now on Ravelry. 🥳 (Link below) They’re a nice change of pace between/during big knitting projects. Before long you’ll have a set of unique ornaments for decoration or gifting. ☺️ In the background of this photo you can see I have tiny socks strung across my windows. 😆

Giving everything the once over before I publish my Sock Ornaments 1-6 pattern on Ravelry tomorrow. Of course I also had to take finger puppet photos. The ornaments are roughly glove finger size.

Travel Knitting
No matter what I’m designing, socks are my go-to travel knitting. These have a few extra bells and whistles… 1x1 cuff ribbing, eye of partridge heel flap, and more 1x1 ribbing in the gusset.

Tiny Socks
This pattern stitch works so nicely on my tiny sock ornament (and looks smashing in pink) but a stitch that fits doesn’t necessarily look right. Art, people, art. Also skill.

Tiny Socks
Long ago I knit miniature socks as keepsakes to accompany adult gift socks. They were actual top-down heel flap and gusset socks. 😋 I’ve since knit hundreds of ‘em as ornaments, including 12 new designs. Each is 4.5 in / 11.5 cm long. I’m writing the patterns now to publish in 2 sets of 6 ornaments.

Tiny Socks
Most sock ornaments I see are knit in stockinette, so I’ve been adapting pattern stitches to my own tiny sock design. This is the tenth of maybe a baker’s dozen. Pondering whether to publish the patterns individually or collectively. 🤔

Black Yarn
I expected to need more fingering weight black yarn, but I didn’t. Happy Sad. 😬

Decreases!
I’ve knit several of these caps. After nine inches of fingering weight ribbing in black, I’m glad (relieved) to begin decreasing.
