Medusa AU for @lucy-westenra-apologist where Beatrice is Medusa. She was cursed because Apollo caught her making out with a priestess in his temple. So Beatrice exiles herself.

Athena doesn’t like what Apollo did so she sends Beatrice books to read. Even Artemis visits sometimes to practice archery with her.

Then one day, Ava, daughter of Apollo stumbles into Beatrice’s life. She cannot shoot, cannot sing but had the gift of prophecy. . It all happened when she was 6 and she tried to stop her mom from dying but the car accident with her mom still happened. Her mom died, Ava nearly died but Apollo showed up. He healed his daughter but she requested for her gift to be taken away.

That resulted in Ava becoming blind.

But Aphrodite who enjoys a good love story, sees Ava and Beatrice. She decides to meddle and to also punish Apollo.

So she sends Ava towards Beatrice and as expected, when Beatrice sees Ava, she doesn’t turn cause well she’s blind.

They eventually fall in love and while Athena for the love of her, doesn’t understand why Beatrice fell in love with that wiggling dumbass, Artemis is happy Beatrice finally found love.

And what if for a few years there, a bedridden Ava was the only person who ever understood Beatrice's frustration at her inability to leave the very ground she died on?

What if Ava, brilliant at age 13, was adopted by Jillian Salvius, and so Beatrice was forced to spend another decade in the orphanage, watching people live lives she never got to live, in total silence, unable to connect with anyone other than dying beings.

And what if Ava, 23 and interested in the bridge between the living and the dead, brought Jillian's latest research back to St. Michael's in order to see if she actually saw a ghost in her childhood? And that's when she ran into Beatrice in her and Diego's old room, still waiting for someone to come back and talk to her.

What if Ava buys the place and turns it into a LGBTQ youth center that holds all kinds of activities and workshop? And that they have a huge sign on the wall that says In this life or the next, but it's not a promise, but Ava's nod to her and Beatrice's relationship, spanning across two realms.

What if Ava spends the rest of her life bringing the outside to a ghost who never got to experience it, and in doing so, makes the world a slightly better place?
