Could ZYL possibly have some idea on what's going on with the two of them? And i mean relationship, lovers you know. I hear the rumour about gg visiting LOF location, but after all they could be "friends" for everyone else around that specifically crew (even if i myself doesn't believe that just because they look pretty much an open secret in the industry) do you think she look that way to them with a "knowing eye" about the situation or is just a coincidence, curiosity or whatsoever?

Haha I have no idea. I think it would depend on how close she got with dd during filming of LOF. If they’re super close friends, I think she would know. If they’re more like work friends, it’s possible she had some idea and obviously heard gossip in the circle but haven’t received a confirmation. But I doubt she or anyone else on that stage is completely oblivious to the rumors.

The key person to watch here is ZYL. After dd looked over, she looked at dd to watch what’s he’s doing. And then she looked to her left cuz something was going on, gg also looked over which means gg was noticing his right. This also made gg looked over to dd’s side cuz he probably thought everyone was looking over but dd wasn’t :( so he had to scan down to zly and yz to cover up. Also I love her social distancing dress. The best way to look fly and stay covid safe at the same time.

Hi! Regarding the last anon ask about ppl that c-bxg dislike, I think for some of these ppl they have found evidence that they/their companies have done stuff against the interests of GG/DD. I kinda try to keep away from negativity and just focus on GGDD, but yeah just to let anon know sometimes the dislike/wariness (within reason!) is not just purely hating on anyone who isn't GGDD. You're right though, it's always better to stay neutral if we don't fully understand the situation :)

Thanks for the info! I do want to add that I have realized some info about different companies can be shady too haha Too many rumors nowadays honestly so I constantly remind myself not to just believe the first thing I see.

There were even people trolling her last night saying they shouldn't have made her sing with gg cuz she can't compare but they sounded really good imo . I could go without this side of the fandom tbh

I honestly have no idea. My general rule is, if I don’t know enough about someone (as in not taking the time to watch their stuff and get to know even their public persona), I’m just not going to comment, defend, or attack them. Of course I still often break taht rule as it’s easy to quickly make snap judgment. 

As for hate on fem leads, all I can say is that I see c-bxg hate on a lot more than fem leads (so it’s equal? LOL) There are also a lot of hate thrown around for yubin, wzc, lay, etc. It’s honestly person dependent. Just cuz liking ggdd bring us together, doesn’t mean we will agree on other people but these are just some ppl that I know get talked about a lot.

My honest answer, idk LOL. Like I said, there’s a lot going on for them so it’s probably really overwhelming. I just don’t think they were as comfortable as they were a year ago but in general, 2020 was just not as comfortable as 2019, not just for them but for almost everyone in the world. I guess I was just trying to propose to the previous anon why they may not seem like the “omg 100% lovey dovey happily ever after” couple like we see in fairy tales.

after tonight I don’t know if i still believe they’re szd i mean not because they don’t interact but because there’s a lot of mutual pining it seemed weird maybe im crazy or thirsty for angst but it’s just what i feel

Well I don’t know anything and can’t tell you anything definitively but I could try to offer other explanations. I agree with you that gg and dd weren’t the most comfortable last night with the event. But in context, a lot has happened this year, especially for gg. We don’t live inside a kdrama where almost every angst is related to a romantic relationship. I think there are many other reasons for them to be kinda angsty, including how this year has been for gg after Feb, the way Tencent was making them line up in a certain order (this same stage order was leaked a couple days ago so I’m like 95% sure it’s planned + they didn’t just let them walk on stage like last year), dd being super tired and having to go back at 4am the next day so they didn’t have much time together, etc. A lot is going on but I do feel like both gg and dd were at least on the same page as in both of them didn’t sit on the couch and their mood pretty congruent with each other. 

As for mutual pining, I personally think that being in a LDR with almost no time to see other contribute to the longing when you do have a little bit of time together but have no control over it. A “you are right there but yet seem so far away” feeling. And it sucks they can’t be like heterosexual, public couples and interact publicly. Even the best of us will find that unfair and annoyed. 

Anyways, szd and sjd is not something I or anyone can convince or tell you. But my own personal conclusion from Tencent is that from tonight, we can at least see that they aren’t enemies or hate each other (from the fan cam interactions to pretty believable rumors of them watching each other rehearse and then standing next to each other during rehearsal) and that they nor Tencent aren’t trying to sell any cp candies (from the positions they were made to stand in and the pretty striking juxtaposition with the other cp that Tencent is now trying to push.)

They were looking out for the rest of us. Their chemistry was too strong the stage will explode.

Hi! I've seen some posts on twitter saying that the tencent awards might end up like "divorce 2.0" in reference to weibo night. Can I ask what exactly happened? Btw thank you so much for answering all my questions so far and thank you to the others who contribute too! You guys make it so much easier for new fans :) Oh one more question! Why are BXGs called turtles and why is our colour yellow? THANK YOU!

For your first question, there was a post here in tumblr that explained it well and in detail but I forgot who wrote it so I couldn’t find it. Not sure if anyone else knows. Basically this January, they went to a Weibo event and didn’t talk much publicly or made much eye contact (although there are fan cams showing xz telling wyb he was leaving to go for an interview and some that looked like wyb was staring at xz.) There are many theories/rumors around this event. Some (mostly solos and antis) say this is their way to end the cp. Some even say they have a bad relationship because of this, especially spinning the narrative that xz wants to distant from wyb. I’ve heard cpf say that xz’s company told him to do so. I don’t think we have any substantial detail or information to know what’s going on. But from things that has happened after, I think that wyb and xz are at least still on good terms, the most significant being wyb talking about his “friend from filming” teaching him how to eat Chongqing hot pot.

As for turtle, it’s a play on words in Chinese. So cp fans of xz and wyb are call BXG (Bo Xiao Girl/Guy) which can be the abbreviation for Brazilian Turtle (Ba Xi Gui). The color is yellow because red (XZ) + green (WYB) = yellow.

Is the way WYB speaks an accent thing or a WYB thing? I don’t speak chinese and I’ve noticed he has a v particular way of speaking and I’m v curious about it.

There are many regional dialect and accent in Chinese. For accents, it’s like how for English in the U.S., there are different slight accent if you’re from Boston vs. Minnesota vs. Texas. But I don’t like in China so even though I can speak Chinese, I’m not as sensitive to the accents in China so I’m not as sensitive to gg or dd’s accents. It’s like how someone who lives in Britain may not be as good as picking up all the different American accents. I’ve heard that gg has a slight Chongqing (southern) accent. The “ideal” accent in Chinese is Beijing accent. Since wyb is from northern parts of China, I think his accent is consider more standard. But for some reason, he is known amongst fans to have a “Taiwanese accent.” What does this mean? Well, as for someone from Taiwan, I think it’s mostly talking about when he aegyo. Taiwanese accents tends to have flatter tones, less tongue rolls, and likes to drag out ending of sentences and add “ma” or “la” at the end. I’m not sure if this is what you’re talking about? I would say he doesn’t always have this type of speaking. His speech pattern changes when he’s nervous vs when he’s trying to be cute vs when he has to read out a teleprompter so I think it all depends. I hope this helps!
