A Time to Unwind in Hotel Luna

In Ilocos Norte back on November 9, 2021, we stayed in an old Spanish colonial home that now houses the famous “Hotel Luna”. After a long journey from Cavite, the hotel's gorgeous rooms and very comfortable beds were just what we needed. In addition to a fantastic breakfast buffet and a rooftop stargazing space, this hotel also has a free museum that is well worth visiting. Hotel Luna's museum was far more magnificent than we expected. Many young and veteran local Filipino artists contributed to this visual history of the Philippines, which was a visual journey through time. Even though there were a large number of outstanding works, the two that stuck out the most to us were those that used the artist's own blood in the painting process.
