At the Animal Care Expo in New Orleans we attended some classes about homeless people and their pets. The leaders called it being "unsheltered." Keep Our Pets Food Bank is changing and evolving and we are letting go of our requirements and "proof of income". We will trust that if anyone comes to us to seek pet food for 15 cents per pound that they are IN NEED. We will not "judge" you if you are homeless.. no matter your walk of life or situation.. We want to help people feed and keep their pets.. "HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS." We have a shortage of cat food right now and are waiting for a shipment. We want to help feed all hungry animals in our area and beyond. I also want to help cats that may be older, missing a limb or eye.. or "special".. to find their forever homes.. Everybody is beautiful.. in their own way.. I know in my own life I have been "judged" by my weight, my face, my hair, my clothes, etc. It would be a beautiful world if we did not face scrutiny.. but we all do.. animals and people. We have two adorable goats, Kid Rock and Kane Brown, 5 cute chickens.. Happy and Blessed Easter Monday from Cooper the Miracle Cat. He was going to be euthanized 4 years ago and Beckie Smith, a Vet Tech and animal advocate saved his life. He is now on the right medications and is seizure free. He is quite the celebrity cat and loves to wear costumes and raise animal awareness. #miraclecat
