Marissa Mayer left Yahoo as part of Verizon’s acquisition of Yahoo. You want to blame a company, blame Verizon or Verizon subsidiary Oath Inc (which is changing its name to Verizon Media Group on January 1st, 2019). It seems that our time at tumblr is coming to a end so I’ll be moving my presence over to flickr.

As you might know flickr is changing their free account policy so that you can “only” host 1000 pics which is a alright compromise in my book. Since I have already over 2k pics hosted at the moment now might be a good idea to grab some stuff before my reorganisation happens.

I will be using flickr more to showcase my latest screenshots instead of using it as a image dump (as now).

People who keep blaming Yahoo forget that Yahoo got bought by Verizon July of last year. Yahoo is dead. Blame Verizon.

Also I think the “log off” protest is exactly what they want anyway if the rumors are true that Tumblr is just a giant joke to Yahoo and they’re just trying to find an excuse to shut the website down entirely.
