I completely agree with you. The thing though, if we’re really getting down to it, TS is an incredibly insecure person. It’s why the majority of her lyrical metaphors relate to high school because she’s still that insecure teen with hardly any friends who wants to prove her worth. Which is to say she wants a relationship in which her partner will put her on a pedestal indefinitely so she can feel as far from the lonely kid that she was as possible. Any time it doesn’t appear as if they’re doing that, she’s going to spiral into unhealthy narratives. For anyone, but especially someone who is private (and I think Joe has described himself as introverted) that is an impossible feat. TS wants to be idolized, not loved.

The thing that annoys me about taylor stans is that they can't just admit that some things she does are shitty. Like, i'm not saying you have to think she's a shit person ( i mean i do) but at least acknowledge that she has done wrong. Like, it's shitty that she was emotionally cheating on joe. It's shitty that she's the biggest celebrity on this planet yet refuses to speak out on any political or social issues unless it'll have a positive impact on her. Anyway: it’s almost impossible to avoid gossip and news about TS and last year I was very confused that people were upset with her for dating a racist scumbag. all of this is disappointing to me because I was never a Taylor fan until evermore where I was introduced to her and her albums and I just loved the narrative of her getting having these struggles but then finding someone who loved and supported her and realising there's more to life than being petty and proving yourself to the public.

like she wasn't the Taylor Swift I know from pop culture. this seemed like a mature experienced woman just staying out of drama who's writing amazing music that evermore and folklore were while maintaining a private life, not trying to prove anything or involve herself in anything. I loved rep and lover for the stories they told about their love. I became a fan of this image of a woman who learned life lessons and found someone and is now just living her life as she says in long story short "I'm all bout you now" like I starting stanning her for the story of her relationship and how that changed her life and ideals which may be weird and maybe wrong to say but its the truth. I thought they were one of those 'true loves' and it was an inspiring story to me. so when she and Joe broke up my appeal for her also started to go and then she made some of the most bat shit crazy decisions in the following months it was just the final nail. in the coffin.

I didn't like her individually or Joe individually I liked them as a couple as what they represented together. so for that to end and for her to go and back step so much from that growth and try and rewrite the whole narrative is annoying.

I loved the privacy of their relationship. Like Joe and Taylors relationship is so much more appealing than her and kelce (regardless that it just feels fake to me) like there is something special in knowing about a love that just you two know. that you're so secure in your relationship you don't need to show it to the world

What annoys me so much is that she keeps playing the role that she was trapped and couldn't escape. In the people's time artcile, in the songs, like you are grown and could leave whenever. he didn't hold you at gun point and even for swiftes who say he kept holding on to her in songs like Cornelia street for example like even in those songs that she says he persuaded her to not end it, its due to her having doubts of him cheating (which must be exhausting to always deal with) not due to her just straight up not enjoying her time with him. like he was fighting for her to stay if she was leaving because she thought he didn't love her and was cheating. He didn't tell her to stay because oh I promise I love you I'm just a bit sad and I'm gonna get my shit together and love you as she now says he should have done. The swifties resent him and say regardless of mental health he's at fault for leading her on all this time that he wants to love her and get married and whatever but he can't. It's so dumb.

Also why is the only proof that he loves you that he marries you. The common theme she plays is that he didn't want to get married at the time so surely he doesn't love her and doesn't want to be there and it's not for any other reason like his mental health. even if for argument sake its not cause of mental health maybe they just had different ideas of love, clearly which is fine! to discover you have different ideals in life. like if they broke up because of that in a mature way I wouldn't be this upset. but her resenting him for it and saying he's bad and wrong and didn't love her because his way of expressing love wasn't through marriage at a time she wanted is crazy, when through HER OWN SONGS she describes him as nothing but loving and supportive. can't believe she prioritised the image of marriage over the actual loving relationship she had. it must feel terrible for him that someone who is depressed is trying his hardest to love you and says that he does and you invalidate that because no you're lying cause were not married. like maybe that's the only way he could express his love at the moment so to throw it at his face and say its not enough you suck must have been terrible for his self worth and mental health.

besides that I feel like releasing you're losing me was a PR grab and another way to get swifties to harass Joe (cause like its so hard to believe she didn't write ylm during that time and as a way to confirm the break up to the fans) but revealing the date of you're losing me was SO UNNECESSARY LIKE??? actually what other purpose was there to know the date other than to make swifties see her as a poor victim all this time and to go harass Joe. Like when it happened I couldn't believe it. just made me hate her more and jack who the swifities are now praising for being supportive bff wow and always hating Joe all along (like in the lpss)

This might be an impopular opinion (?), but I'm kinda of worried about TS mental health.

Going through all of her lyrics and recent behavior and it just doesn't seem healthy. I'm not justifying her behavior because she's done horrible things, but I do wish she'd seek help because I'm spite of it all I can't help but worry that she might find herself in a position no one should be in. I genuinely wouldn't wish a mental health crisis on my worst enemy.

And it sucks because I genuinely think she used be a somewhat decent person at one point, I don't want to lose hope she can come back to that one day.

Taylor has used golden for Joe before. And she uses "rose golden glow" in the lyrics. And the whole concept of lingering on the "if only". What made me think of it tho was the lyrics "North bound I got carried away, as you boarded your train South"

Considering Matty is from the North and Joe is from London in the South; I feel like IF this song is about Joe it would be the ONLY smidgen of regret (and only out of personal interest ofc) she'd have shown about cheating on Joe this entire album. Like she's missing the safety and security and regrets blowing it up for Joe. Like idk I don't see "having friends over to drink nice wine at Christmas parties" as a thing Matty and his drug addict friends would do. Its an image depicting safety, stability and a sane community in adulthood. Things Taylor lacks but Joe has an abundance of (thankfully).

Okay, I just need to vent. But am so sick of the shielding of Taylor Swift. There is a whole ass article and Reddit thread about how music critics are “reviewing and critiquing TTPD differently because it’s Taylor”. Basically saying that there is no way that those mean critics actually listened to the album and they for sure had the review sitting in their drafts. Or that the critics who did listen to it didn’t listen to it enough, apparently Taylor’s music is so deep that you have to listen to it for days to enjoy it. Are they serious? The industry that has propped her up on a pedestal is suddenly out to get her? Like, can her fans just admit the album is a miss? Can they admit that she does anything wrong? It is just wild to me. When she does something wrong or makes a mistake that is not egregious, it’s not a mistake or a wrong. They just glide right over it. But when it is something egregious that can’t be avoided, it’s downplayed.

I think the apology she wanted from Joe was for him choosing a movie above the opening night of her biggest tour and not jetting back for the opening night. From Taylor's behaviour we can see it's super important for the boyfriend to be there for her tour.

Obviously he was filming and it would have been disruptive for him to do this but I can see her expecting this (also given Joe was away working during other important events for her like Red TV release or the Graduation thingy)

Her remark to Travis saying "jetlag is a choice " and flying around the world for the Superbowl after the last night in Tokyo cements this. She has been dropping quotes about how important it is for the partner to show up and support her in interviews & even in pressers about the Travis relationship

well now that she has a partner who is always there for her important events, she should start focusing on him instead of trying to shade her ex at any given chance. she got what she wanted so why's she still fussing. also here's a list of all the important events that joe attended for her:

1. The jbb concert (her first performance after the cancellation era) he also jetted back from his movie set (the operation finale) to be there for Taylor. Jet lag was a choice back then too.

2. Several rep concerts including the opening night. He attended with his friends, family and co-stars.

3. The Prime concert where she couldn’t stop looking at him.

4. CATS premiere

5. Vmas afterparty in 2023 (even when things were rough)

6. grammys afterparty 2023 (see he attended when he could)

7. golden globes 2020, as her plus one

8. nmes 2020, as her plus one

9. He couldn’t be there at her graduation ceremony but he sent his whole family to support her. His mom was there for Taylor at atw premiere as well.

These are all I can think of right now but i can confirm there are more events when he was there for her as a support system. During the span of six years he's been there for her from time to time. swifties like to paint him as a bad boyfriend when it's literally not true. I don’t see Taylor's athlete boyfriend joining her promotional work events and if I brought it up swifties will say tk has his own job restrictions. But where is the same energy when it's Joe who couldn’t attend her important events due to job restrictions as well? The tunnel vision of making Joe a villain and a bad boyfriend is so embarrassing, like they know it's not true. Also I hope taylor's very supportive boyfriend will keep up the same energy after six years (if he survives for that long lol)
