| Top floor, please.
@247yoori
The first thing Joohyun had to get used to after being so far away from Seoul was time. Everything was a day ahead and Joohyun felt her body behind. During the first days she was always sleepy during the day and fully awake at night. (That's not new though).
The second thing was to live alone. When she lived in France she spent it at friends houses or with family and she never felt lonely. But upon moving into Prestige Hotel, loneliness was the first thing she felt and the silence is unbearable. Maybe a cat could have been the solution, but one, pets aren't allowed and two, Joohyun is barely able to take care of herself.
Tuesday is the most boring day, or at least that's what she thinks. Nothing exciting ever happens on Tuesdays and this Tuesday will probably be no different.
She made an effort to wake up earlier; early bird catches the worm, right? Dragging herself to go get ready, by 8 she was ready to go grab breakfast at the cafe. A chai latte is mandatory
Then she saw her like a ghost passing by.
At first Joohyun did not remember her, she drank her latte in peace while eating a croissant. But when she passes by the gym, she sees her again, more clearly. She swears it is Yoori, from high school! How could she not remember her, after all her clique has been just as well known as her own.
Because Joohyun hated having doubts, she was careful to follow the girl, just to make sure she is indeed Yoori. But after a few minutes she realized they were on the top floor, and she lives in suite 501. Oh.
Several minutes later, Joohyun is knocking on her door with the first mug she could find. Even if it weren't Yoori, she really needed some sugar.

| little prince.
@jongsuk247
Joohyun dreamed of a prince. She dreamed of a man suitable to sweep her off her feet and to take her to a castle in some far off land.
Well, at least that's what she expected when she was six. As she grew up, she came to learn that no man will ever live up to her expectations, no matter how good looking. Her search for that prince had ended when she turned 14 years old.
Perhaps the only person that could live up to at least eighty percent of the requirements is Lee Jongsuk. To say that Joohyun had —has, maybe— a crush on him is an understatement. She wanted him ever since she laid eyes on him at their parent's dinner party. No matter how much of a jerk people seemed to call him, he had this aura that would attract you no matter what. That's what Joohyun thought.
Nothing ever happened. By senior year Joohyun gave up flirting with him when he starts scorning her whenever she arrived hung over to school. A big turn off, you might say. Though she honestly felt guilty when he gave her a disappointed look, and did her best to put attention to class instead of dozing off in the girls locker room.
The first thing she wanted to do once arriving in Seoul was to see him, because she needed someone to pull on her ear. Will she tell him about her alcohol problem? Probably not. Or about the time she disappeared right after the graduation party? Nope. But at least his mere presence will calm her down. Peace was what she needed.
Unsure of where to contact him, Joohyun opted to talk to him through his social media. Maybe, just maybe, he'll glance at it, even if it does take weeks.
baechu43: pssst hey
baechu43: where have u been cutie ;)
baechu43: i'm kidding, alright. would  u like to go buy a coffee sometime? maybe? say yes

There's been some time since Joohyun's been meaning to look for models. Before coming to Seoul she has been sketching for a whole spring and summer collection. Usually she only does a piece or two, but these were complete set in the works.
She realized what her problem is, though, and that's a model. Though there's nothing wrong with her body, Joohyun had a small and short physique (much to her dismay).
Once arriving and settling in into her job, she started looking through the models his father sponsered, and not one managed to catch her eye. Then she went to agencies, and nothing could inspire her. It was getting frustrating and time was ticking. There was no deadline established, but summer was just around the corner and fashion week for those two seasons started on September.
It was a normal day like any other. A mandatory, middle-of-the-day latte is needed to calm her nerves. Joohyun will always walk to the nearest cafe by the gallery. Her heels clicked on the sidewalk and just like a flash, inspiration appeared in front of her eyes.
Before her chance could slip away, she ran across the street, risking her life getting hit by a car or two but a that moment Joohyun could care less.

( ... )
Being abruptly snapped out of his contemplation by a co-worker, his blank expression is immediately replaced by a beam. Boosting the bass in the song, he can feel how he’s now getting lost in the music instead.
The first thing Joohyun heard when she arrived to Seoul is that Lush is the trending club of the year. If you managed to get inside without having to wait in line for a long time you surely are from high society. Though Joohyun could use her social status, she opted to use cash to use cash instead to shut them up.
If that wasn't enough to get attention, once inside she went straight to the bar. Like usual she wanted to get drunk first and though she had the money to waste she wasn't planning on using any of it. All Joohyun —or Irene, as she introduced herself to them— needed to do was send a flirty look to some guy, perhaps touch them suggestively and they would do the rest.
At some point she would manage to ditch said guy for a group of girls dancing by some bars. Joohyun joined them, twirling around with them as men down below cheered them on. The bass of the song was fierce and Joohyun couldn't help but to get lost herself, swinging her pink hair around as her hips went from side to side.
As the song got to it's climax Joohyun looked to the DJ by glance. It didn't take her long to recognize him.
"Jiyong!" she yelled with a smile, waving at him to hopefully catch his attention.

| under the influence.
@247suga
Joohyun's schedule started at nine at the art gallery.
Her schedule was actually quite calm and had most of it in control, since she was the master of organizing things. Most of it consisted of planning exhibitions and presentations, answering emails regarding information and making ties with organizations that will give her artists support. She made sure to not ride on neither of her parent's coattails, even if her mother did give her the gallery.
This was a nice way to spend her day, Joohyun actually enjoyed herself. The silence the gallery provided was a nice contrast to the noisy nights she usually spent. It relaxed her and took her mind off things walking around the open empty space, the sun bathing the place with natural sunlight.
Like in highschool, when she needed to escape the noise she would go to someone younger than him but age didn't matter. Yoongi was cute, or at least she thought so. Sometimes Joohyun would talk for the longest time with him, skipping a class or two and basically not giving a rat's ass for the moment. Their friendship was never romantic, and that was probably the best part of it. He was different than she was.
She enjoyed his company so much that at one point she started inviting him to parties. Maybe he didn't know how to handle a hangover at school but that was ok to Joohyun, she would share her almond drink with him and a pill for his headache.
It had been nice, while it lasted. But then that happened and they never spoke again.
Her schedule was going normally, as always. Phone conferences were always annoying though, especially when the guy just kept going on and on about the importance of a marketing plan instead of going straight to the point.
Lunchtime was just around the corner when she got off the phone. But first, Joohyun needed to walk around the gallery to blow off some steam. If she ate while stressed a tummy ache was sure to happen.

@247jiyong
Joohyun is more than just the life of the party.
Joohyun is the definition of party animal.
She didn't do it stupidly, at least not while she was stil 20% sober. Partying has taught her how to multitask, how to be in more than several places at once within an hour. How to make friends with all kinds of people, from the ones on the sidelines to the dangerous ones on the top floors.
This had helped her in many ways, it meant she had connections with the most unlikely people. One of the people she remembered most was Jiyong. If she wasn't hanging around with her clique, she would be with him. He would always be one of the first people to receive their invitation to her parties first, and she would often sneak into clubs with him. She would feel danger in his company and that would excite her.
But the time has passed, so much that she no longer knew what had happened to her friend Jiyong. At the graduation party she left without a goodbye and gave no more signal as she stayed in Europe. She cut off all communication whatsoever.
It's been little over a month since her homecoming to Seoul, and the itch has started once more. But that wasn't a problem. A pink wig called for the night, and tight clothes that hugged her body nicely. Eyeliner always made her look different, along with a bright pink lipstick.
As soon as she finished, she hailed a cab, careful that no one looked at her. Even if they did, at least they knew she looked good. The destination is Lush, the objective was to escape.

joohyun. | stay with us.
Joohyun has been lost for some time now. “Since middle school”, she would tell you with a tight smile on her face. Though she sure didn’t complain in high school with all those parties she threw. It was still a wonder how she maintained good grades. And no, she did not suck off any teacher, if that’s what you’re thinking.
Seoul brings her memories of wild parties and pain. Throughout the whole plane ride she squirmed, uncomfortable at the thought of seeing her parents waiting for her at the airport. She cannot forget the angry look on her mother’s face and the sad frown on her father’s. That was the look they gave her when Joohyun left, she cannot imagine what they would look like now.
“I know you’re enjoying yourself in Paris,” her mother told her through the phone with a slight bitter tone, “but I need you back in Seoul. Your father needs you ASAP.”
Without further explaining she hung up and now Joohyun is feeling nauseated on her seat upon seeing the lands of South Korea. Nervousness was not something she was used to feeling, and the clammy feel of her hands had her wiping them on her seat. The stewardess gave her a weird look.
Once the airplane landed, she had to muster all her courage to go down the steps. She had to breathe deeply when she grabbed her suitcases and passed through the gateway, dreading the crowd that was waiting in front of her. But instead of seeing her parents, she saw a big man holding a sign up that said “BAE JOOHYUN” in big handwriting. Somehow she wasn’t surprised, and she felt somewhat relieved but disappointed too.
Upon approaching the man took her to one of her mother’s big limousines that was waiting just outside the airport. “Maybe they’re inside waiting, dad would hate the crowd,” she thinks. When they weren’t inside she thought “maybe they do hate me and they’re avoiding me completely”.
She fell asleep on the carride, exhausted from the 10 hour long plane ride from Paris to Seoul. Then the door was opened to her and she expected to see her house but instead she saw a hospital and was left bewildered.
Her mother looked the same as always. Tall, graceful. It was like seeing herself in a mirror, if Joohyun ever wondered how she would look like in her mid-forties looking at her mother was more than enough. Today her mother had that stern look she always had when they weren’t in front of the camera. Mrs. Bae was always the best at keeping a mask on.
And she kept the mask on when she told her that her father has cancer, and he’s dying.
“Lung cancer. Your father has 6 more months left on him. Thought you wanted to stay home with him.”
Joohyun gulped the knot down her throat and nodded, wanting to cry but not allowing herself to. Not in front of her mother.
“But on the good news,” her mother started with a lighter tone. “I got you something to distract yourself from. An art gallery. You can run that to take your mind off things.”
“Where’d you get that?”
“You don’t ask that, princess. Just do as mommy says this time, please.”
