many problems are caused by the mindset that the world is divided into good people and bad people and the bad people can be "found out" and removed, eventually leading to a utopia containing only good people.

Last night my brother ended a phone call with my mum early because my SIL was "in a bad mood" because apparently my brother got home from work and went straight upstairs without saying hello to my SIL first, thus meaning she could not ask him to help her make lunch for today, and he felt this was more her problem than his because "she could have texted me".

I only know about this because he accidentally sent the message about it to the family group chat instead of just to my mum, and yes, my SIL is in said group chat.

I have so many questions, but am also once again reminded that I'm glad I'm single and queer.

I am now on my fourth day of the holidays with my family - my mum and dad, my brother and his wife, and (to a lesser extent) my sister and her husband - and as the only person here who is both single and queer, this kind of exposure is the kind of thing that makes me glad I'm both single and queer.
