There was an obvious nervousness he was cloaked in, even in the weakness of his chuckle as Trip comforted him. Yet, his eyes were focus on the bodies that roamed the streets, he didn’t want to make an assumption, but most were frail and lost. Before his mother, there was a definite immaturity to the way he looked at addiction. Perspectives were changed once they were close to his home. The nervousness stemmed from not just the environment they were treading into, but the familiarity that he saw in these strangers. They reminded him too much of Natalie and he still hadn’t told Trip about the developing of their relationship. Even now there was an unread message of a cashapp request on his phone. But he had to swallow that. Not yet. “N-Not Hari Potter...I’m s-stealing that,” he glanced over at Trip and he broke into that wide mirrored smile, pushing past the anxiety induced churning in his stomach, “I k-know you don’t mean no harm bro. I just can’t shake it man, a-a-always been like this, you know that. Anyways, I’m gonna go head let you know now, I’m running your pockets up playboi. trippie played with the smoke after taking another suck from his blunt while his palm brushed over the steering wheel of his new bmw m8 series. he was so excited to have his own car now, and the first official ride he wanted to have with kahari, because that kid had a very special role in his life. one of a few people he knew since his childhood, the one who’s still by his side even when sometimes they do have some disagreements, mostly because of tripp’s lifestyle. a low, faint chuckle bounced past his lips as a reaction to kahari’s words, yet he allowed the other guy to finish whatever he had to say. “chill, brothamane, i promise ya, ya ain’t gotta stress ‘bout nothing.” rogue looked over at kahari and gave him a light elbow bump. “i’d never drag you to my business meetings, ain’t trynna put ya life on risk. i just need to get these damn documents for my car, that’s it.” yet, trippie decided to leave the fact on how exactly he got his car untold. nothing major though, one of his filthy rich clients needed some drugs asap no rocky, and since their rich daddy refused to fill up their bank account, they paid trippie with their brand new car. he rolled down the window to throw away his blunt’s bug, meanwhile his eyes did a quick scan of surroundings. nothing special, just some people about their random business here and there, some crackheads walking aimlessly as well. “i’m sayin’, ‘hari potter, relax.” tripp reassured his friend and smiled wide. “look, once we’re done with this shit food’s on me, aight? we can grab whatever ya like.”

Uncomfortable was an understatement. Not that Kahari had much of a say in the decision, he was going to stay quiet (a difficult task in itself) in the passenger seat until the deed was done. He’s learned to keep his dissatisfaction with Trip’s lifestyle to himself. There were so many arguments that were had before that Kahari heard the message loud and clear. Trip was his own man and either way it went, Trip was gonna be his day one. And even with his own personal reservations, like how his birth mom was on the receiving end of this life, it definitely bred a bit of resentment. But for now, he was idle, trying to peer through the tinted windows with cautious eyes. “Why every car ride with you f-f-feel like a cautionary tale? You know I can’t lie, I can o-o-only witness so much.” The question was rhetorical, but if Kahari had a thought, more than likely it was going to pass through his lips. “They gon’ eat my ass up in jail if I get caught, and b-bro, like not the good way.
