How To Make A Bong Out Of A Can
How To Make A Bong Out Of A Can
Before we go over how to make a bong out of a can I’m going to give a brief history lesson on the pipe so we can further appreciate how far we’ve come as humans as well as realize sometimes you gotta go old school. Let me break down what we’ll be going over.
History of the pipe
Why you should make a can pipe
Materials
Step by step
History Of The Pipe
The first smoking pipes identified were found in Egypt and dated back to 2000 BC. Archaeologists found them in tombs, most of the time beside mummies. Presumably, it was believed to be for the mummified person to enjoy a smoke in the afterlife. Historians are unsure if the Egyptians used pipe smoking in religious rituals or purely recreationally.
The Romans, Greeks, and Nordic tribes all smoked tobacco pipes. Smoking a pipe is also integrated into many Asian cultures as well. Clearly the practice was pretty much worldwide. In fact, Hypocrites, the godfather of medicine prescribed “smoking herbs in a pipe” as a remedy for many ailments. Furthermore smoking from a pipe has had many religious practices surrounded by it and many recreational users.
I believe the pipe was such a popular device because it was very easy to make and could be made with almost any material. During a time with no machinery, this definitely was the best way for them to smoke. A marijuana pipe has 3 main components, a mouthpiece where the user inhales the smoke, a carb to fill the pipe with air when finishing your hit and the largest part of the pipe is the bowl where we pack our precious herbs.
Why You Should Make A Pop Can Pipe
Now that we got a good idea of what a pipe is and how it works, I want you to imagine this scenario in your head. You had a long day of work and you just checked your email and found out your weed has arrived. It hits 5 you drive home like a maniac, sprint inside and rip open that box. You are in awe as you open up the bag and inspect all those beautiful nugs. As you start to grind your weed, you remember YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SMOKE IT OUT OF!
If you’ve got something to smoke and nothing to smoke it out of you’re in luck. Go to your recycling bin and grab yourself a nice shiny pop can. It’s possible with some effort and ingenuity you’ll soon know how to make a bong out of a can in less than 10 minutes.
Materials
Here’s what you’re going to need, first off of course is a can. Any can will do whichever works best for you. Next, you’ll need a sharp object anything close to you, I always have keys in my pocket so that’ll do just fine. If you’re not willing to get your keys dirty you can always grab a pen or pencil anything that can pierce aluminum. Next, I’m sure you already have a lighter nearby we use this to burn the chemicals off the can just in case. Remember smoking out of a pop can is hazardous to your health if done too many times. This should only be used in emergency situations even if we’re burning some of the chemicals off. Lastly, we have the most important ingredient your cannabis! Make sure to not grind it up too fine or your bud will get sucked into the can.
Alright now that you’ve gathered everything let’s go over how to make a bong out of a can. Firstly we’re going to wash the can with some warm water just to get it clean as possible, you’re going to be smoking out of a can after all. I will repeat this again, this device should not be used more than a couple times. This is a quick temporary solution to when you have no smoking device.
Step By Step
Step 1
Use your thumb to make a dent on the side of the can opposite the side where you will smoke from. This should be deep enough so weed can sit comfortably in the crevice. Before you create your dent make sure the mouthpiece opening of the can is facing upwards.
Step 2
Take your sharp object, and poke holes in the middle of the can where you have made the indentation. These holes can be tiny, but the more, the better. A grate-like pattern works best. You want space for air to flow but not weed!
Step 3
Once this is done, poke a large hole on the side of the can, this is your carb cap. It is used to add extra air into the can when trying to inhale your hit.
Step 4
Take the tab off the can and heat both the smoking area and the side of the can on the opposite side using a lighter. The idea behind this tactic is to burn any chemicals used on the can before you start smoking.
Step 5
Finally, your homemade can pipe is ready to use! Place the herb on the indentation, hold your mouth to the drinking hole in your new pipe, and use your thumb to cover the carb hole on the opposite side of your weed. Light up your weed, and once the can is filled with smoke, let go of the carb and inhale!
Now You Know How To Make A Bong Out Of A Can
This is definitely some knowledge you should keep stored in the brain for any emergency stoner situations. Remember to give your can a nice wash and torching before you use it to prevent any toxins on the can when you’re smoking. Make sure the indent isn’t too big and your holes as well, just enough for airflow not weed. Remember cans are made out of aluminum which is unsafe to smoke out of. This should only be done a couple of times when you really need to smoke. Please do not smoke out of aluminum regularly.

How To Get Rid Of Weed Smell – 5 Different Ways
How To Get Rid Of Weed Smell – 5 Different Ways
Cannabis, as we’re well aware, is a very smelly flower. One of the primary functions of flowers is to produce terpenes, odoriferous chemicals designed by nature to attract pollinators and keep predators away. These pungent compounds can be an indicator of someone nearby having a much better day than you.
Unfortunately, this odour can also be a dead giveaway that alerts others to your preferably private ritual. While cannabis may be completely legal here in Canada, some people aren’t too kind towards the powerful odour. So if you want to be mindful of your neighbours or simply want your toking habits to stay under the radar, respect and privacy can be preserved with a few handy tricks to rid the smell of cannabis on your person or inside your house. Here’s a list of the 5 ways on how to get rid of weed smell.
Sploof
Incense
Candles
Hawaiian hotbox
Ventilation
1. Sploof
If you’ve never heard of a sploof before today my condolences a sploof is a homemade filtration device made out of a couple household items. In essence, a sploof is a tube with a filter on one end. Upon taking a hit, the smoker exhales into the open end of the tube, filtering the smoke through the tube preventing it from causing suspicious smells from arising within the residence. Grab yourself:
Toilet paper roll
Pair of scissors or knife/blade
Rubber band, piece of string, or tape
Scented dryer sheets
Take your scented dryer sheets and begin packing them into the toilet paper roll. The packing doesn’t have to be dense; around 3–4 sheets should do the job of disguising the smell. Now that your sploof is loaded up, it’s time to add the last, most important sheet. Wrap a dryer sheet over one end of your sploof. Use a piece of string or an elastic band to keep it in place. Make sure this dryer sheet is secure and won’t move.
All done! Now enjoy a relaxing stress free hit, after taking a hit from your smoking device blow all the smoke into the sploof. The smoke should travel through all those layers of dryer sheets diffusing almost all the smell of cannabis. Just keep in mind this does not get rid of any smoke only the smell.
2. Incense
Incense consist of an aromatic material that creates a scent, along with a combustible binding material that keeps it all together. Incense has been used for thousands of years for a variety of purposes; ranging from sacred rituals to combating noxious odours. The specific ingredients in incense vary but can include:
Flower oils
Sandalwood
Tree resin
Cardamom
Vanilla
Black pepper
Honey
With all these pleasant aromas incense are a great way to get rid of weed smell. Since incense create smell from the smoke, it easily masks other smells as it’s very potent. Now we all know you could just kill your room with half a bottle of Febreze but it won’t be as pleasant on the air and definitely not as effective with combating harsh smelling smoke.
3. Candles
Much like incense, candles are a common way to masking any lingering smells. Personally I prefer incense because candles burn a wax opposed to the incense burning material which creates a thicker stronger smell. However candles are much more common and much cleaner because it will not produce any ash. As well some candles can last up to 100 hours for a very low cost.
4. Hawaiian Hotbox
The idea is to steam up a washroom using a really hot shower and then hotbox the room. The combination of extremely high humidity and large quantities of marijuana smoke will definitely make you feel like your on vacation without having to fork over thousands travelling to a tropical island. Here’s what you’ll need:
Cannabis
Smoking device (Papers, Bong, Pipe)
A washroom with a shower
Lighter
Candle
A towel
Steps
Place your towel at the bottom of the washroom door to block the opening to ensure no smoke escapes.
Turn on the shower at the hottest setting leaving the shower curtain slightly open to let the steam slowly fill the washroom.
Wait until the room is completely filled with steam, it should feel like you’re in a sauna.
After a couple of minutes turn off the shower and enjoy smoking!
When you feel like you’re almost done light the candle, open any windows and turn on the fan.
A Hawaiian hotbox is an effective way to have a very private smoke session without raising any suspicion. Because of the humidity the water particles pick up the smell lingering in the air making it much easier to get rid of.
5. Ventilation
Probably one of the easiest methods, and can be the most effective if you know the direction the air is moving. Open up a window and smoke nearby, if the wind is going inside your house use a fan to blow the air back out. I suggest you don’t use this method to smoke a joint as it’s much harder to control all the smoke.
After taking your hit (make sure you clear the whole bowl), lean out your window and blow all the smoke outside. Quickly come inside and close your window or if you’re using a fan, keep the window open and let the fan blow out all the air. This a very effective method in combination with a candle or some Febreze. Since the smoke will be outside there will only be slight hints of weed in your room. The scent from the Febreze will overpower any leftover smells.
This Is How To Get Rid Of Weed Smell
In conclusion if you’d like to smoke in private and leave no trace behind use any of these methods or combine them for added dank fighting power. In my personal experience if you can smoke in a washroom with a shower this is the my favourite smell proof and relaxing way. If that’s not an option create yourself a sploof or fill your room with some incenses/candles. If all else fails, just blow the smoke out the window!

Curing Weed
Curing Weed
After months of hard work carefully tending your plants, you’ve finally harvested a crop of frosty, danky buds that you just can’t wait to roll up. But first, they need to be dried. While you may be tempted to dry your cannabis quickly through curing. Curing is a prolonged process of removing moisture from the buds under controlled conditions. This process will provide a much better product in terms of taste when you smoke it. If you’ve ever wondered why some cannabis is harsher or less flavorful when smoked, it’s because these components have not been properly cured prior to drying and distribution to the consumer. A proper cannabis cure will not only improve the flavor and smoothness, it will also improve the THC levels! Today we’ll be going over the curing weed and the following:
Drying vs curing
Benefits of curing weed
Flavor and quality of smoke
Preserving cannabis
How to cure
Rehydrating
Drying vs Curing
Drying, involves drying fresh buds so they contain less moisture and can be smoked or vaporized. Curing, on the other hand, involves storing your buds in closed containers over a period of at least two weeks. This helps develop the flavour and aroma of your buds as they age.
Benefits Of Curing Weed
Cannabis plants produce tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and other cannabinoids through a process called biosynthesis. During this process certain compounds are gradually converted into new compounds. For example, THCA will transform into the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, THC.
If you keep freshly harvested cannabis in an environment with temperatures between 60 and 70°F and humidity between 45-55%, the conversion of non-psychoactive cannabinoids to THCA will continue and your buds will gain even more potency. Quick drying under warm, dry conditions will stop this process.
Flavour And Quality
When you’re probably curing weed it will help preserve flavour and quality. Many of the aromatic compounds (terpenes) that give cannabis it’s unique smell and flavor are quite volatile. They can degrade and evaporate at temperatures as low as 70°F. A slow cure at low temperatures will preserve all the wonderful flavors and aromatics.
These conditions also create an optimal environment for enzymes and bacteria to break down leftover minerals and sugars. They are created by the decomposition of chlorophyll during the drying process. The presence of sugars and leftover minerals is what causes the harsh, throat-burning sensation when smoking improperly cured cannabis.
How To Cure Weed
To effectively cure your harvested cannabis, begin by hanging trimmed buds upside down in a dark room from some clothing hangers. Buds that are still attached to the stock will hang easily while smaller, “popcorn” buds may need to be dried on a screen.
After 1-2 weeks, the stems should snap when bent and the outside of the flower should be crisp. When this happens, it’s time for the next step – sweating your bud. You’ll do this by removing the bud from the larger stems and placing them in airtight containers, stored in a dark place. You’ll only want to fill the container about 75% of the way. Leave room for air because it helps break up sugars and byproducts that are released from the breakdown of chlorophyll in the buds as part of the curing process. This is what makes for a much smoother product. For curing weed in jars we recommend using our budbox that come in three different sizes. We carry varations from a weed jar that fits an ounce to our weed container that fits a pound of cannabis.
For a couple weeks, you’ll want to check your buds daily for mildew and mold. You may need to more depending on how moist your buds are. You’ll also want to “burp” your buds. This involves taking them out of your container to inspect them, then putting them back in after you’ve removed any that seem to have problems. A quick shake changing their position in the container should help them cure more evenly. You don’t have to keep them out long. Only long enough to inspect them and have time to introduce fresh air into the container. Though your bud will be fine to smoke after two to four weeks, continued curing for 4-8 weeks. This will improve the flavor and potency of your bud significantly.
Rehydrating
If you’re inspecting your buds and they feel dry and brittle, don’t worry your bud isn’t trash! If you leave them curing for a couple days, often this will draw the moisture from the inside to the surface of the bud. You can also rehydrate the bud by using a product such as Boveda 62% humidity control packets. Stick one of  these packs in the curing container with your buds and it will raise the humidity to 62 percent.
Additionally, you could consider using lettuce or kale, even a wet napkin can work! Some growers use citrus peels, but because these will alter the flavor of your buds, it’s only recommended to use them if you have a citrus-tasting strain. If you followed the above steps, it’s unlikely you will over dry your buds, yet these tips are worth mentioning. If you grow in a very dry, low humidity environment and the humidity inside your containers is consistently low, you can reuse the same packs throughout the curing process.
Now You Know Curing Weed
Remember drying and curing is not the same thing! Curing can only be done in a sealable container and takes a minimum of two weeks, the longer you cure the more potent and flavorful your bud will be. While curing, burping is important to refresh the air inside the container and promote a more even cure to the buds. Curing your weed is a must if you want to take your bud to the next level, think of it as a fine wine that needs time to ferment and develop its maximum flavor and potency.

Where Does Girl Scout Cookies Strain Come From?
When OG Kush and Durban Poison are crossed you get their love child, GSC. Due to obvious copyright issues, Girl Scout Cookies are now referred to as GSC or simply “Cookies”. This cannabis strain comes from USA and is a trademarked brand that cannot be used or the company using its name will be subject to legal action. Since it’s popularity exploded south of the boarder, the Girl Scout Cookies strain Canada has made its way up north and is available to Canadian buyers. I will explain later in this post where you can buy the Canadian strain.
Who Created GSC?
This strain is what gave the rapper Berner his key to the cannabis kingdom when he collaborated with Wiz Khalifa. Grown in the mountains of California, the strain girl scout cookies was an instant hit and quickly became a popular strain in North America and now worldwide. Aroma, Taste And Appearance
There is a reason why this strain is the queen of the cookie strains. Known for it’s sweet smell with the earthy undertones tickling your senses, GSC lives up to it’s sweet but sassy name. As you continue to break up the buds, the sweet tones become more predominant and you’ll feel your taste buds start to tingle. Bongs And Such
Bongs And Such – Everything You Need To Know
For most heavy stoners, bongs are a common favourite smoking technique. They feel nice to hold, the water gives extraordinary filtration, the piece itself is a gem, and it’s one of  the most powerful ways to medicate from dry herb. As bongs have advanced from an underground development to an everyday smoking strategy, glass crafters have consummated a wide range of styles. In this blog I’ll be going over all the fundamentals of bongs and such:
How do bongs work?
What is a bong?
Which one is best for you?
Materials
Shape
Attachments
How Do Bongs Work?
To begin let me go over a couple terms with you so we can better understand and visualize what I’m talking about, this will make things much more comprehensible when we move forward. So working our way from the bottom of the bong to the top:
Base – The base is the foundation of your smoking equipment. The lifespan of your bong is dependent on the sturdiness of it’s base. A larger surface area will prevent it from tipping.
Chamber –  Located at the bottom just above the base this is where all the water sits.
Downstem – Connected to the chamber, can be built-in or detachable. This is the part of your bong where you attach the bowl. Once you light it, the smoke will travel from the bowl to the downstem, and into the chamber.
Bowl –  Connected to the downstem this is where you pack your weed.
Neck – Longest part of the bong this is where the smoke travels from the chamber to your mouth.
Mouthpiece – The end of the neck where you put your mouth to hit the bong.
Diffuser – Spreads the smoke out for a smoother, fuller hit. Can be located in several places in the bong. Usually in the form of slits.
Ice Holder – Holds ice in the neck, cools the smoke so you get a denser, more powerful hit.
Percolator – Separate device which can be built inside the bong, creating more distance for the smoke to travel from the bowl to your mouth, which cools the smoke and filters it.
Ash Catcher – Usually in the form of a bubbler attachment, catches ash instead of it going into the chamber.
Drag –  How hard it is to pull smoke out of your bong, the least amount of pull gives you more smoke.
Carb – A hole used to control the airflow this will be the other option if your bowl doesn’t come out to clear the chamber of smoke.
What Is A Bong?
A bong is a filtration device generally used for smoking cannabis, tobacco, or other herbal substances. In construction and function a bong is similar to a hookah, but smaller and easier to bring on the go. A bong may be constructed from any air- and water- tight vessel by adding a bowl and stem apparatus that guides air downward to below water level which creates upward bubbles during use. Bongs are an effective way to get medicated because you need very little weed and all the smoke is concentrated in the hit. No smoke is left to waste unlike a joint where it will keep smoking if left untouched.
What Bong Is Best For You?
Now that we’re familiar with parts of a bong we can talk about all the different selections out on the market, they vary in shape, size and material. Before going out to buy one you need to ask yourself what is the use of this bong? Is it going to be your everyday hitter? Will you be taking it with you on the go? The more complex the design of it, the harder it will be to clean. So remember each one has its own pros and cons and figuring out which is best for you will help narrow down your bong of choice.
You’re also going to want to take into account your budget, as bongs can vary in price from around $30 all the way up to $500+. Remember an expensive one won’t necessarily mean it’s good for you. As you get higher up the price line, you begin to see more and more unique designs, high-quality craftsmanship, filtration, etc.  However, unless you are a glass collector, or getting a hefty discount, there’s no reason to pay more than $300 for a high quality one.
Bong Materials
These days a bong can be made of almost anything: acrylic or plastic, ceramic or bamboo, even silicone! Acrylic or plastic water pipes can be way less pricey and translucent so you can see the quality of the water in your bong, but they lack the creativity of glass pieces and can’t typically be modified, making them a less flavorful option but good for on the go purposes. Ceramic pipes can be less expensive than glass, absolutely beautiful and more durable, but also much more difficult to clean, causing them to have a shorter lifespan when used a lot. Bamboo is sturdy and stylish and can last a lifetime. Silicone is super durable and flexible, and ideal for travelling or packing away in a suitcase.
Of course, glass is the most classic and the best in terms of modifications and add-ons. When figuring out the durability of a potential glass bong, look at the thickness of the glass. It will be measured by millimetres usually marked on the bottom. The thinnest will be 3.2mm and thickest 7mm. Thicker and heavier the less chance of breaking if dropped or hit. Lastly the best option would be borosilicate (aka Pyrex). This glass contains 5% boric acid and undergoes a procedure called ‘Annealing’ which strengthens it.
Shape
The bong shape will affect its durability, portability and how it performs. The larger and wider the chamber means more space for bubbling action resulting in smoother fatter hits. As well if it has a long neck the smoke will take more time to travel which cools the smoke as you inhale. I’ll list below a couple popular bong shapes that you’ll see:
Straight Shooter Bong – The straight cylinder is the most essential water pipe style and is the mos basic. Pieces in this style are anything but difficult to clean, and have a great look. Straight cylinders clear a lot quicker than bongs of different styles, making for bigger hits and less drag.
Zig Zag Bong – Zig-zag molded have a couple of advantages. In the first place, zig zag shapes have a wonderful appearance. Second, and all the more essential, keep the water from coming up from the water chamber and into your mouth.
Recycler Bong – To the extent bong styles go, recyclers will in general be more specialized. Be that as it may, this one of a kind style conveys additional smooth hits, on account of the filtration, it takes the smoke through the filtration process numerous times. In the wake of going through a percolator, the smoke is then steered through a bigger water chamber. Most recyclers have one chamber inside another, or both joined to the outside.
Percolator Bong – Percolator are exceptionally effective in separating smoke. It is for the most part have something like two percolators. The percolators contain numerous cuts, which diffuses the smoke as it travels through.
Beaker Bong – This type looks just like the beakers used by chemists, but in essence they are much like tube bongs, except the bottom is flared. Their big advantage over tube-style ones is that they are more stable when placed on a flat surface.
Bong Attachments
Last the cherry on top is the bong attachments! Plenty of bongs can be customized for added functionality and design. If you already have one or have a straight shooter you can always beef up it’s specs. Maybe you want to clean yours less? You can buy an ash catcher which goes in between your bowl and bong. This will keep it much cleaner because the ash will go in the catcher oppose to the chamber of it. Some ash catchers are also built in with a perc, this will create more bubbles and space for your smoke to travel.
Percolators are built in many shapes, the most popular are honeycomb, inline, tree and shower head. These can be very intricate pieces and may need extra care when cleaning. Depending on your preference some percs will add extra pull so the key is to balance the amount of drag and bubbling action. Remember some bongs do have built in percs so you might not need to buy a separate attachment. If you’re unsure about an attachment try taking a dry hit with no herb just water, see how hard you need to pull to create bubbles. Also feel if your bong might be too heavy to pick up or if the weight is more on one side causing it to tip.
Now You Know All About Bongs And Such
There is an endless selection of bongs and such to choose from and finding the right one can be very difficult. The perfect one for beginners in my opinion would be a straight shooter made with a nice thick glass. It has a solid base so it’s hard to tip over, easy to clean and will usually come with ice catchers and a diffused down stem. This is probably the best starter bong set up especially if you’re not keen on spending an arm and a leg. Have fun looking at all the options in you’re disposal and don’t be afraid to experiment with different setups. In time you will find your holy grail bong and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

How To Roll A Blunt
How To Roll A Blunt
By Terpene Terminator – November 26, 2019
So you think you’re ready to roll a blunt? If you can’t roll a joint with ease yet I suggest you keep practicing before you try tackling a blunt, if you’re ready to level up your stoner game or you’re just curious as to what it is keep reading! Today I’m going to teach you how to roll a blunt and I’ll be covering the following topics:
What is a blunt
Preparing tobacco leaf
Grinding the cannabis
Rolling the blunt
Baking the blunt
What Is A Blunt
For beginners asking “what is a blunt?”, a blunt is to a joint what the cigar is to a cigarette. Or more simply, it is a cigar that has been emptied of its tobacco and filled with cannabis. While not as iconic as the joint, the cultural significance of the blunt cannot be ignored. Many prefer the added high created by the cannabis and its tobacco wrap, while others appreciate the combination of flavors available in most cigarillos and blunt wraps.
Rolling a blunt comes with its own set of practices that are in place to maintain function and tradition. Often, people will refer to blunts by the brand of cigar or wrap they prefer. For example,
‘Sweets’ typically refer to Swisher Sweets
‘Woods’ refer to Backwoods
‘Dutches’ refer to Dutch Masters
Which one is best? Conclusively, the answer is whichever one you prefer. They all serve the same function, in the end, so feel free to choose your favourite based on size, flavor, texture, and any other criteria that are important to you. If you would like to enjoy a blunt without the harshness of nicotine there are also hemp wraps that have the same consistency as a tobacco leaf. I have only smoked a couple blunts using hemp wraps, the taste of the weed is prominent but you won’t get the nice nicotine buzz.
Preparing The Leaf
Once you’ve decided on your cigar of choice time to prep it for rolling. Use a blade to cut the blunt lengthwise, or if you think you’re careful enough you can “crack” the blunt using your fingertips. Once you’ve split the blunt, empty the tobacco from the middle and discard (or if you like to smoke spliffs, save it for later).
Knowledge of what cigar you’re using will help with how you prepare it. If you’re using swishers those can’t be unwrapped so you probably want to use a knife to split it in half, but if you’re trying to roll a backwood those are thinner leafs which can be unrolled without being harmed.
Once you have your wrap separated from the tobacco, apply some moisture. Using just a little bit of moisture will make your blunt wrap easier to work with, shape, and help seal up any small tears that might occur while you’re emptying its tobacco innards. This is easily done with some saliva or breathing on the wrap to get it lightly damp, but if you’re rolling this blunt for someone else, you might consider using the tip of your finger and some tap water.
Grinding The Weed
Using a grinder will help maintain an even burn, but will tend to burn quicker. While using your hands is the more traditional method and is often preferred to help the blunt get a nice cherry. If you don’t like using your hands a grinder is still a valid option just make sure to not grind your weed too fine. I prefer to use a two piece grinder to grind up my bud until it’s a bit smaller than a grain of rice. I found two piece grinders tend to not turn your bud to a fine material as long you don’t grind it like crazy. This makes it much easier for the bud to form inside the blunt wrap.
Rolling The Blunt
Pack that blunt. You need at least 1 gram of flower, preferably 2–3 grams for a nice fatty blunt. Try to spread out an even, sticky green fluff. If you want to add hash or some other crazy concentrates, you should sandwich the extract in flower for an even burn. A concentrated core is not the most efficient way to enjoy extracts, but will definitely one of the tastiest. Once you’ve evenly spread out your weed.
Time for blunt rolling! Roll the cannabis between your fingers to pack the blunt evenly. Be careful because if you didn’t moisten the wrap enough, it may crack. Make sure the weed is fairly dense, once you’ve packed and shaped your blunt.
Tuck the wrap under itself and wet the inside of the exposed edge from end to end. Use your fingers to smooth out any wrinkles. The tuck can be initiated at the mouthpiece or in the middle of the blunt, it’s a matter of personal preference.
Lick and stick it down. Just press the upper edge – that should be lightly coated with saliva  down over the tucked part of the blunt wrap. If you want to start in the middle, lay down about the middle third and then work your way outward toward each end. You may have to lick the wrap a bit more as you’re rolling.
If you did it right, the saliva should make the wrap stick together again. When you’re finished rolling the blunt, it’s probably going to be a bit moist from your saliva. That’s ok you did everything right trust me.
(Tip: if you poke a hole or if the blunt cracks at all while you’re working with it, you can use the gummy adhesive from rolling papers to repair it.)
Baking The Blunt
Now that your blunt is rolled, you’ll want to “bake” or dry it to help seal it together and support an even burn. Take your lighter, and quickly run the flame back and forth across the blunt, slowly rotating the blunt to heat every inch of it evenly. The heat from the flame kills the germs from the saliva, and burns it off while it also solidifies the blunt into a nice, tidy, smoke-able joint. Make sure to not burn the blunt though, if your making contact with the flame move it around quickly.
Enjoy! Now You Know How To Roll A Blunt!
Congratulations you did it! Take it all in, rolling a blunt is no easy task. Relax and puff on your blunt like a king. Enjoy the taste of fine aged tobacco mixed with your premium marijuana. As with anything in life, things will get easier with practice. The more blunts you roll I guarantee it’ll be as easy as rolling a joint. You’re on your way to becoming a master roller!

How To Make Cannabutter
How To Make Cannabutter
By Terpene Terminator – November 25, 2019
So you are considering making cannabutter? Great! Cannabutter is a superb way to enjoy cannabis without the frustration of coughing up a lung when you smoke or smelling. Cannabis-infused butter (cannabutter) is among the easiest and most frequent techniques to create infused cannabis edibles. But, making butter may be a bit tricky. To be able to trigger its psychoactive effects, the flower has to be warmed at a very low temperature. This recipe will lead you through this process–called decarboxylation before walking you through a step-by-step guide on how to make cannabutter.
What Is Cannabutter?
Butter is a delicious and versatile provider for THC and other cannabinoids, though it is not the only one. You might even use coconut oil, olive oil, or some other  oil. With exactly the very same fundamentals as making marijuana butter, you are able to produce infused sesame chili oil to garnish rice dishes, or coconut oil to use for your face mask. If you want coconut pot butter instead of oil, just use the same recipe as above but be sure to use coconut butter rather than oil. Then once you have your strained oil, place it into the refrigerator overnight for hardening and enjoy your coconut cannabis butter!
Coconut cannabis edibles such as oil and butter are gaining in popularity. Some fans swear it’s far superior in extracting the THC and curative elements of cannabis to butter. Additionally, it has health benefits to healing skin inflammation, from cholesterol amounts of its own. Bud butter might be bioavailability and more powerful than cannabutter due to absorption of cannabinoids. The consequences build pace yourself and are based on slow.
Two Ways To Make Cannabutter
Today I’ll be showing you guys two methods on how to make cannabutter, the first method is the most common way with a stove top and pot. This method does require a bit more maintenance and can dank up your kitchen. If you’re looking for a more discrete way of making cannabutter with a lot less smell I suggested the second method with the slow cooker, as it’s a lot more forgiving and won’t burn your butter. If you’re not too keen on paying for a slow cooker or don’t want to borrow your moms, stovetop is your best option.
Decarboxylation
Prior to making your cannabutter, then you will want to decarboxylate, or “decarb”, the cannabis blossom you are working with. Skipping this step will create a product that is weak or dormant. This is why cannabis buds generate  a non-intoxicating acidic cannabinoid called THCA. As soon as we vaporize or smoke cannabis, the heat converts THCA into THC, the molecule that delivers euphoric effects. If preparing CBD edibles, this same process should be applied.
Step By Step
Decarb the cannabis. Preheat your oven to 245ºF. Place cannabis buds on a non-stick, oven-safe tray. Cover the tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Insert the tray into the oven and then set a timer for 30-40 minutes.
Grind the decarboxylated cannabis coarsely with a hand grinder.
Stovetop Method For Weed Butter
As soon as you’ve obtained your bud decarboxylated your one step closer to creating your cannabutter. Now to infuse your cannabis to the butter you are going to want a few things. A sizable enough pot to carry your entire stuff, a container to maintain the cannabutter (preferably glass), spatula and knife, cheesecloth to strain not to mention the principal components. For this recipe we’ll be using 1 oz (28 g) of marijuana to 4 sticks of butter. Ensure that your ingredients are top quality as this can influence the effectiveness of your own butter. The more fat in your butter the more THC can be absorbed.
Step By Step
Melt the butter. Add 4 sticks of butter and 1 cup of water into saucepan or a stock pot. Simmer on low and allow the butter melt. Adding water prevents the butter from burning and can help regulate the temperature.
Insert the cannabis. Add on your ground cannabis merchandise as the butter starts to melt.
Simmer. Maintain low heat (preferably above 160ºF but not surpassing 200ºF) and allow the mixture simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. The mix shouldn’t ever come to a boil.
Strain the cannabutter. Set a funnel on top of a jar and line it with cheesecloth. Pour it on the cheesecloth funnel and then let it strain once the butter has chilled. (Hint: Squeezing the cheesecloth can induce more bad-tasting plant substance through).
Refrigerate the jar of butter. You can eliminate the butter and then drain out the water, if water forms in the base of the jar. (The butter will have to refrigerate for approximately an hour prior to removing the water)
Slow Cooker Method For Weed Butter
This way is the most economical and most effective way if you are fortunate enough to get your hands on a cooker. All you’ll need is your slow cooker, a container to hold the cannabutter, cheesecloth to strain and a spatula. Of course just like the first method we’ll be using 1 ounce of premium cannabis to 4 sticks of butter. Once you’ve decarboxylated the weed like how we previously discussed follow these next steps.
Step By Step
Grind your cannabis coarsely. (Hint: A coffee grinder can finely pulverize the blossom and prevent powerful straining of bad-tasting plant substance.)
Place to low, or somewhere around 160ºF. (Hint: Prevent exceeding 200ºF to reduce burning or squandering cannabinoids. You might even add a little water to help avoid scorching.)
Add the butter and ground cannabis. Stir occasionally.
After about 3 hours, then switch off the crockpot and then await the butter to cool.
Strain as above.
Dosing Your Cannabutter
Dosing your cannabutter can be very tricky. The first mistake people make it taking too much, so this simple trick can be helpful.
You have used an ounce of marijuana in this recipe – 28 grams of weed in the butter (minus the plant material)
Divide your butter into 28 equal pieces, say 4 rows of 7 (if you miscalculate, you can remold the butter and start again)
Each piece will have the equivalent effect of 1 gram of weed which is about one large bowl
Beginners will start with half of that or less – the rule is “start low and go slow” for cannabis edibles
Wait 45 minutes to two hours before redosing.
Do not make the mistake of thinking you should take more if you don’t get effects immediately. The effects of edibles start slow and build steadily. If you re-dose before the effects appear, you will have taken too much and will feel uncomfortably high for a few hours. In any case, do not consume the whole thing in one go. Weed butter will give you a slow and steady body high with euphoria and pain relief. It will work better than smoked marijuana for those with chronic illnesses because the effects will peak later and last longer.
Now You Know How To Make Cannabutter
Cannabutter can be used to make a nearly endless list of cannabis-infused edible recipes, such as baked sweets like; cookies, brownies, cakes, chocolates, muffins, banana bread homemade gummies, puddings and ice cream. For people with the more savory pallet you can add it to some fresh popcorn as a movie snack or use the cannabutter for your favorites dishes like added to a sauce for mac n cheese or incorporated in your pasta sauce. If you really want to feel like royalty try adding some of the cannabutter on top of a nice juicy steak, how can you go wrong with a delicious medicated meal like that. For a more vegetarian option u can infuse the cannabutter with your favorite salad dressing.
Just a quick recap of what we learned:
Always decarboxylate your weed, as its needed to maximize potency in your cannabutter.
Remember if you’re not infusing into butter make sure it has a high fat content like coconut oil as THC is absorbed through fat.
If you have the option of using the slow cooker method is very stress free and will have a low margin for error, especially if this is your first time.
Assuming you’re cooking on the stovetop, remember to always monitor the butter stirring every half hour to prevent any burning.

How To Store Weed
How To Store Weed
By Professor Weed – November 20, 2019
Weed should be treated like any other perishable item and kept well in the right conditions. You should treat your weed like an investment since smoking weed can be costly, especially if you are buying in bulk. Think of your car. Do you just leave it outside in the rain or sun for days without proper preparation?
If you want to keep your weed potent and smelly dank, then you need to learn how to store it correctly. Whether you’re a new to marijuana or an experienced stoner, this guide will provide all the best tips on how to store weed. Knowing how to store your cannabis properly will ensure you keep your weed long lasting and maintaining its taste.
Does Weed Go Bad?
Yes weed can go bad and very quickly if stored improperly. If you don’t store weed the right way then it will lose its taste, aroma, look and high over time. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime did research on how much THC will remain in marijuana if stored at room temperature (20 to 22 °C). The finding is THC will decrease proportionally over time. Below is the summary:
After one year, cannabis loses 17% of its THC
After two years, cannabis loses 27% of its THC
After three years, cannabis loses 35% of its THC
After four years, cannabis loses 41% of its THC
DID YOU KNOW. If you store your weed correctly that it can keep most of its smell, taste and high for up to two years! A research article released by the Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology found that cannabis is reasonably stable for 1 to 2 years if stored in a dark place at room temperature.
Best Temperature To Store Weed
It is best to keep your cannabis in a cool temperature. I like to keep my weed anywhere from 10 to 15 °C . Mould and mildew grows best anywhere from 25 to 30 °C so make sure your storage temperature is well below that. High temperatures will dry out your cannabinoids and terpenes. When these oils get too dry it will change the taste of the flower and give it a harsh smoke. Lower temperature will actually slow the process of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) transforming into tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Don’t store your weed in the fridge or freezer. They may seem like cold and dark places for your pot but both present problems. The humidity in the fridge can cause mould to grow on your weed. The freezer can cause the trichomes to become weak and easily break off.
Best Humidity To Keep Cannabis
Controlling the humidity in the room is just as important as managing the temperature. Humidity plays a big factor on if mould and mildews will grow. Most online articles suggest keeping your cannabis stored at about 59% to 63% relative humidity (RH). This will help keep the bud its colour, taste, smell and consistency. Above 65% then it will increase the chance mould will grow on your weed. However, be cautious that too low of RH can dry out your weed and the essential oils.
Light Settings for Cannabis Storage
Make sure you keep your pot in a dark area and out of the light. UV rays from the sun will degrade the cannabis similar to any other plant sitting in the sun too long. It will burn up the cannabinoids and terpenes reducing the high effect when you smoke it. You will notice the colour of your weed to start to fade too if it has too much exposure to sunlight.
Air Control For Storing Marijuana
It’s important to store your marijuana in a container to control the amount of air flowing to your weed. You need to pick a container that is roughly equal to the amount of weed you plan to store. If you place a small amount of weed in a large container, then you risk speeding up the degradation process because the excess oxygen. However, if you place your weed in a tight container with too little space, then it affects the humidity inside. As you use up your weed it is best to store them in smaller containers to match your supply.
Container For Storing Weed
This is one of the most crucial steps in caring for your cannabis supply. I like to put my cannabis in a weed glass jar since they they are scent free so they won’t affect the aroma of your bud. A glass jar will also lock in the smell of your weed and keep the humidity out. Make sure not to store your weed in a plastic bag (“baggies”) since they leave your bud in a fragile state and can rub against the plastic which removes the trichomes off the bud. Also, keep your different types of weed in different containers to prevent cross smell and taste from happening.
I would also highly recommend buying a weed container to store your marijuana. It’s made of premium plastic so it keeps smell in and out of the container but is lighter in weight than glass. The weed container has an airtight rubber seal lid that is easy to use with a click of a button. They come in different sizes and the budbox can hold up to two ounces of flower.
This Is How You Store Weed!
Now you know how to store weed to ensure it stays fresh and tasting great. The steps above are the best way to store weed I’ve found. If you have any other tips that you use, feel free to comment below to share with us.
If you’ve enjoyed this post and found it informative you can buy weed online and the necessary accessories to store your weed at weed-deals.ca, a top online weed dispensary in Canada. Make sure to sign up to receive up to date news on the marijuana industry and deals on premium weed and cheap weed.

Guide To Edibles
Guide To Edibles
By Lavendersasquatch – November 18, 2019
We’ve all seen the movies where someone “accidentally” or purposely consumes a weed brownie and starts tripping. I’m not sure what’s in the brownies that Hollywood portrays, but I don’t think it’s just cannabis from the way the actors act. I promise you won’t see dragons eating cotton candy, or be laying naked in the middle of the road, or see crazy colours and hallucinations.  Edibles have been around for thousands of years and are used for a wide array of occasions and ailments. They can be overwhelming to start with, especially if you’ve never consumed them before. So before you try edibles, read my guide to edibles and let’s look at the magic behind them!
What Are Edibles?
They are food items that contain cannabis. With how advanced the cannabis world is, you don’t have to just get the classic pot brownies. We now have a wide array of weed edibles. Everything from infused granola bars and dried fruit, to cotton candy! From coffee and teas to sports recovery drinks and capsules. You can even get edibles that have no weed taste that is made with distillate as opposed to classic weed infusions such as cannabis butter or canna coconut oil. Many edibles come in various doses.
The recommended dosage for new cannabis users is 5mg to 10mg of THC to start with. You may think this is not much THC but edibles are a different high than smoking cannabis. They offer a more powerful body high. This is a great option for those users looking for pain relief
How Long Do Edibles Take To Kick In?
Contrary to popular belief, cannabis edibles do not kick in instantly. When you’re inhaling weed, the effects kick in within moments and last from 1 hour to 3 hours roughly. When you consume cannabis edibles it can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours to feel the effects. This depends on the dosage, your metabolic rate, and if you ate the edible on an empty stomach or not.
It is recommended to wait two hours before consuming more. First-time users make this mistake and can end up “too high”. If this happens, do not panic, follow these tips to help ease the high.
Get some fresh air
Go lay down in bed
Try some CBD. CBD is known to counteract the effects of THC
Distract yourself with a movie, music, or friends!
A glass of cold water or chewing fresh peppercorns can counteract anxiety induced by THC. (But let’s be realistic, most people do not keep fresh peppercorns in their house)
How Long Do Edibles Last?
This is where weed edibles are amazing. The average high is 6 hours, but depending on how much you consumed, the residual effects of the edibles can be felt upwards of 24 hours after. So please consume responsibly. Around 4 hours into the high, it will typically peak and things feel amazing. Edibles are a healthy, safe way to consume cannabis without smoking!
Personally, I’ve had an edible high last me 12 hours and it was great. I ate 200mg of THC in the form of cotton candy and it was a great experience. I’m also a seasoned cannabis user and this is a large dose for me. My average edible dose is 20mg to 90mg of THC. This took a lot of trial and error before I found the right dose for myself. This is my guide to edibles based on my personal experience so each person’s time length of high may vary.
Can You Eat Raw Weed To Get High?
No, once again this is a myth that Hollywood has bestowed upon us. Do you want to know something crazy? The raw, living, female cannabis plant has no active THC in it, only THC-A. THC-A has no psychoactive properties until it’s heated but has many therapeutic properties. The THC is only activated when it is heated by smoking, vaping, or baking! THC-A stands for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, the non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis.
Another reason why eating raw weed won’t get you high is because the THC needs to reach your bloodstream to be effective and reach the cannabinoid receptors in our bodies. Our bodies do not break down raw cannabis material. The trace amounts of THC found in the raw cannabis will be processed, broke down, and expelled through the digestive system before the THC can be used effectively. So no, eating a whole bag of raw weed will not get you high.
Why Are They More Potent?
They’re more potent due to how they’re consumed. When you smoke weed, the THC is absorbed through your lungs into your bloodstream instantly. From there, the THC makes its way to fatty tissues, such as your brain where they connect with your receptors and give you that way of euphoria cannabis is known for.
When you eat an weed edible it needs to be broken down through your stomach and then the enzymes become metabolized and are processed in the liver. Enzymes in the liver are what break down the THC. So this process is what makes edibles more potent and last longer. How neat is that?
Why Don’t Edibles Work For Me?
In some situations, even after waiting two hours and consuming more edibles, you don’t feel the effects. Why is this? This phenomenon is known as “first-pass metabolism”. This is a process when your body is so sneaky and good at breaking down things, that instead of being broken down and metabolized in the liver, the compound is cleaned out and goes through your system without effect.
First pass metabolism doesn’t just affect cannabis consumption, it can affect pharmaceuticals as well. It’s because of this phenomenon that you may not feel the desired effects of your marijuana edibles. You may also need a larger dose of THC, so wait two hours and then see how you’re feeling. It is recommended to eat a small meal with your edibles. Something fatty such as cheese, avocado, or another high-fat food item will help minimize this effect and make your edibles more effective.
Now You Know Edibles
The world of edibles is vast and long gone are the days where you could only get weed brownies. We now have countless options to choose from to suit anyone’s dietary needs and preferences. As of October 17, 2019, Canada “legalized” edibles on a federal level and will be rolling out legal edibles come December, and into January of 2020. Edibles are an awesome way to consume cannabis recreationally and medically. Remember to start low and go slow.
I hope you enjoyed my guide to edibles and tell us your favourite edibles in the comment section! The American Psychological Association defines anxiety as “an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts and physical changes like increased blood pressure”. Recognizing you have anxiety is the first step in order to handle with it.
What Are The Symptoms?
When you have anxiety you may react differently than others. For some people it’s more noticeable as they will sweat a lot while for others it’s not so obvious as they have troubles sleeping. Below are a list of general symptoms for anxiety provided by WedMD:

Dizziness
  What Causes Anxiety?
Doctors actually don’t know the cause of anxiety even though this topic has been heavily researched. Similar to mental disorders, they believe the cause is likely a combination of a person’s genetics, their surrounding environment, and changes to the brain. Some believe the part of the brain that deals with fears is likely linked to the cause of anxiety.
Whatever is causing anxiety it must be very common in everyone and if you have it then you don’t need to feel alone.
DID YOU KNOW. 41% of Canadians say they experience anxiety. According to a 2018 poll, out of 1,500 Canadians who were surveyed, 41% said they are “someone who struggles with anxiety”.
How To Deal With It?
There is a large variety of different treatments and ways to deal with anxiety. There are many conventional ways such as stress management, exercising, getting sufficient sleep and breathing techniques. With the recent legalization of marijuana products in Canada, doctors and the government are seeing the health benefits cannabis can provide to people. Using weed products to deal with anxiety is gaining recognition as a suitable and non-harmful solution for helping people cope with ity.

How To Clean A Bong
How To Clean A Bong
By Lavendersasquatch – November 12, 2019
If you’ve ever wondered how to clean a bong then this story will relate to you. It’s Friday night and you’re heading to your buddy’s house for a “smoke and chill sesh”. You leave your bong at home because all true stoners own a bong.
You get there, your friend hauls out the bong and you almost scream in horror from the scary sight. You think MAYBE the bong used to be clear perhaps, maybe it had pretty designs or was hand blown glass. But you cannot tell due to how dirty and black it is. The water is like sludge, the glass is caked with the residue left over from burning plant material. It is basically swamp water in a bong, and that’s just wrong.
I know we are all guilty of having dirty glass from time to time but there are some of you who are really pushing the limit of what’s safe to inhale. There’s really no excuse to continue to punish your lungs with dirty glass. You’re ruining the flavour of your weed and you’re making yourself sick, whether you know it or not. Also, you’re wasting flower and compromising the taste! Fresh cleaned glass is so nice and it just feels good to smoke out.
Reasons Why You Should Clean Your Bong
BIOFILM – It is made up of microorganisms, bacteria, and mould. Biofilm forms over time, sometimes even within a 24 hr period. If your glass is left unclean and the water unchanged, your bong will develop a gross and slimy film that is similar to when you don’t clean your shower often enough.
TASTE – It will taste better so why do you want to taste dirty old bong water? Just say no because your weed deserves so much better.
NO RESIN – When you don’t clean your bong and pipe, the resin builds up and you’re not tasting your weed anymore. You’re tasting dirty old black crap and lord knows what else.
SAVING FLOWER – When you keep your bowl clean and not clogged, you won’t be wasting as much flower.
Supplies To Clean Your Bong
While there is so many cleaners on the market, most are made up of the same two ingredients you can buy at your local Wal-Mart, grocery store, or local pharmacy; coarse salt and 90% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol.
So gather these supplies and let’s get ready to clean our greasy glass.
Salt
Rubbing alcohol 70% – 90%
Paper towel
Gloves (if you don’t want resin covered hands)
A container for small pieces, that has a lid
Hot water
Steps To Clean Your Bong
Empty dirty water from bong, remove downstem and bowl.
Rinse all pieces in hot water. You can do this with your pipes as well.
Take your bowls, downstems, small pipes and set them in a plastic container.
Add salt to your bongs, pipes, and pieces. Make sure the insides are coated in salt!
Add rubbing alcohol.
Shake the hell out of it. Don’t be like me, plug the holes somehow or you’re going to smell like dirty rubbing alcohol. Depending on how dirty your glass is, this could be extremely tedious. This is why cleaning your glass regularly is good for you and makes your life easier.
Rinse everything very thoroughly with hot water to get rid of any lingering alcohol or salt.
Pack a fresh bowl and enjoy our freshly cleaned glass.
This Is How You Clean A Bong
You can also purchase already made cleaners from various glass shops and dispensaries. This is extremely convenient BUT most are made up of rubbing alcohol and salt, Which you can just purchase yourself!
It’s also handy to have small bottle brushes, pipe cleaners, or q-tips to clean out the hard to reach spots and get rid of that extra resin that won’t come off.
You should make a conscious effort to clean your glass on the regular. Make it a part of your weekly chore routine. If you change your water daily, it’ll also help with maintaining your bongs cleanliness. Cannabis is supposed to be good, don’t ruin it by making yourself and others sick due to lack of cleaning. Save your lungs, clean your bong. Check in next time where I will show you how to use a bong and how to a clean a pipe.
If you’ve enjoyed this post and found it informative you can buy weed online for you bong at weed-deals.ca, a top online weed dispensary Canada. Make sure to sign up to receive up to date news on the marijuana industry and deals on premium weed and cheap weed.

Why Does Weed Make Your Eyes Red
Why Does Weed Make Your Eyes Red
By Professor Weed – November 6, 2019
If you’ve ever smoked weed, then you know what it feels like after to get bloodshot eyes. Isn’t it embarrassing and uncomfortable when you go into public and people start to stare? Your friends start to ask you, “are you high?”. In this blog post I will undercover the real reason why your eyes get red when you smoke weed and I will go over the following topics:
The myths behind smoking weed and red eyes
What causes red eyes when smoking weed
How long until your eyes get red from when using weed products
Solutions for helping to deal with red eyes
The Myths Behind Smoking Weed And Red Eyes
Myth #1: A lot of people believe yours eyes get red after smoking a joint because of the smoke from the cannabis.
INCORRECT! It actually has very little to do with the smoke flowing from the joint unless someone is blowing smoke constantly into your eyes. Then why do people who eat edibles still get red eyes?
GOOD QUESTION! So it must be something within the cannabis that makes your eye red.
Myth #2: Doesn’t smoking weed make your eyes dry, hence that’s why they get red and irritated.
TRUE BUT NOT THE REAL CAUSE! Yes, if your eyes are dry then they will naturally get a bit red. Especially if you start to rub them a lot because they are irritated. However, dry and itchy eyes will never get bloodshot like they do from smoking weed.
What Causes Red Eyes When Smoking Weed?
SHORT ANSWER. A biological reaction will start to happen within your body from when you consume marijuana products which causes your eyes to get red.
EXPLANATION. If you don’t remember your high school biology class then here is a quick crash course. According to a post from McGill University, there are over 113 different types of cannabinoids, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC )in marijuana. A cannabinoid is a naturally occurring compound. So when you consume weed, these cannabinoids will enter your body and activate your cannabinoid receptors, a type of a cell membrane receptor. Think of a fence that separates the inside cells from the outside world and controls what enters and leaves.
WHAT IS THE EFFECT. Once the cannabinoid receptors are activated it will cause your blood vessels and capillaries to start to dilate. This action will lower your blood pressure. Imagine a tight hose that has water flowing through it and suddenly the hose becomes wider. Water will be able to flow through it more freely and quicker. This increase in blood flow to your eyes will cause them to get noticeably red and what is called the “stoner eyes”.
How Long Until My Eyes Are Red After Smoking Weed
If you’re a smoking a joint or taking a bong hit, then your eyes can get red anywhere from 5 minutes – 15 minutes from first use. If you’re having edibles like brownies or gummies then it may take anywhere from 15 minutes – 30 minutes for your eyes to get red from when you started eating.
This is because through digesting weed products, your body has to break down the weed in order for the THC to react within your body. Smoking will always be a quicker reaction in your body since THC will flow from your lungs into your blood. Of course every person’s body will react differently for when THC will affect their body so use this as a simple guideline. If you’ve ever wondered how long does weed stay in your system then make sure to read my other blog post.
What Can Help Reduce Red Eyes From Cannabis?
Now that we understand the issue of having red eyes and how you get them, you may be wondering what can you do about it. The good thing with dealing with red eyes is that it’s easily fixable and won’t take long to cure. Below are different options that will help you clear up those red eyes or help prevent them.
Eye Drops
Eye drops are a reliable and quick option for curing red eyes wherever you go. It’s important to understand all eyes drops are not created equal though so buy one catered to your eyes. Each one contain different ingredients that resolve a certain problem. If you want to get rid of red eyes make sure your eyes drops contain naphazoline hydrochloride or tetrahydrozoline hydrochlorideas as each one is an active ingredient that help shrink the blood vessels on the surface of your eyes. I would recommend using the brand Visine as they’re a personal favourite of mine. It works very fast and is effective for clearing red eyes so I always make sure they are in my marijuana kit.
Lower THC Content
The amount of THC you consume will affect how red your eyes will get. As I discussed above, THC is the active ingredient that lowers your blood pressure and in turn gets your eyes red. So the best way to reduce your chances of getting red eyes is to consume a weed product with less THC. I suggest purchasing our Candy Cane Strain as this strain is known to have lower THC and won’t give you those bloodshot eyes. Another option would be using a cannabis product high in CBD or CBN rather than THC. CBD and CBN strains won’t have the same red eye effects that THC strains provide. Our Master Kush Strain is a great alternative that won’t get you that high and will help prevent red eyes.
Drink Lots of Water
When you use weed products then your body will become dehydrated so it’s important to remember to drink lots of water throughout the high. Your eyes will start to become dry because your eyes will stop producing tears to keep them moist. This will cause your eyes to be irritated, blurred vision and more prone to being red. Another side effect of dehydration from using cannabis products is something called “cotton mouth”. The slang term cotton mouth refers to a dry mouth and cotton like feeling that weed users get in their mouth after smoking weed.
Sugary Snacks or Drinks
Did you know sugar is the biggest cause for high blood pressure. One way to help deal with those red blood shot eyes is to munch on a chocolate bar or have a sugary drink during your high. This is a quick and enjoyable option for anyone smoking a joint and it will help you combat “the munchies” as well. Even though having sugar won’t clear up your red eye completely, it will help reduce the red in your eyes as it will bring up your blood pressure.
This Is Why Weed Makes Your Eyes Red
Remember next time you are smoking weed that your eyes getting red is a normal biological process happening in your body. So don’t be alarmed by the color of your eyes and just enjoy your high. If you want to clear or reduce the chances of those red stoner eyes make sure to follow our tips above like using eye drops, using a lower THC content product, staying dehydrated, and consuming sugary food or drinks. I would recommend using these different options together as I always keep eye drops, water, and sour keys on me when enjoying my cannabis.

How To Roll A Joint
How To Roll A Joint
By Professor Weed – October 31, 2019
If you’re just learning to smoke weed or want a refresher course on how to roll the perfect joint, then you’re at the right page. Even though rolling a joint may seem difficult and daunting at first, it’s actually quite easy and can be done quickly after some practice. In this tutorial I will provide you a step by step guide on how to roll a joint. After finish reading this post, you will be rolling joints that even Cheech & Chong would be impressed!
Before you get started rolling a joint, make sure you have your essentials. You will need a grinder, rolling paper, and your favourite weed.
Step 1: Grind Your Cannabis
Grab a nug of your favourite weed and remove all the stems. Break the nug into smaller pieces and place it in the grinder as shown in the picture. Twist the grinder until the weed breaks down into shake. Weed that is dry should break down easily and not stick to the grinder. If you don’t have a grinder you can always use scissors or even your hands.
Step 2: Create Your Filter For Your Joint
A filter, also called a crutch, is optional to use for your joint. It prevents shake from falling out or burning your lips when smoking. I personally prefer making a filter for all my joints as it makes smoking easier. This is great if you’re smoking with beginners. The best filters are used from cardboard such as ripping a piece off a business card. Fold the cardboard over a few times then simply roll the material until it looks like a cigarette filter.
Step 3: Prime Your Rolling Paper
Grab your favourite rolling paper out and fold it into a U shape. My favourite rolling paper I like to use are premium rolling papers as they are made of good material for smoking and not too long. Roll the rolling paper up and down without any weed in it using both your index fingers and thumbs. This will help shape the paper and give it that curve look so it will be easier when you roll the joint with weed.
Step 4: Fill Your Joint With Pot
With one hand holding onto one side of the paper, use your other hand to sprinkle the broken pot evenly on the rolling paper. The natural crease in the paper acts a holder for the pot. Insert your filter on the side where you’re holding the paper. The filter should be in between your hand and the pot.
Step 5: Pack The Weed In Your Joint
After the weed is loaded in the joint, I like to take the edge of a credit card or the package from the rolling papers to push the weed together. You can also pinch the paper between your fingertips to pack the weed so its nicely compacted into its final shape.
Step 6: Roll And Seal Your Joint
This is the most crucial step in rolling the perfect joint where a lot of beginners mess up. Holding the joint with both your index fingers and thumbs, start to slowly roll the joint back towards the glued edge until it’s completely rolled. If you have a filter start rolling on that side first with your fingers. This will provide a guide for the paper to roll itself around. Once rolled, make sure to lick the glued side of the paper to seal it.
Step 7: Pack And Twist The Top Of Your Joint
Use a pointy object like a pen to lightly push in the top end of your joint to pack the weed. You have two options when finishing off your joint. Option one, you can twist the top of the joint by grabbing the excess rolling paper with one hand and using your other hand to twist the joint. This will prevent any weed from falling out. Option two, you can leave the top untwisted which gives it a more cigar look and looks more appealing.
This is How You Roll A Joint!
Congrats! You now have learned all the steps to roll your own joint. Remember practice makes perfect and it will take a few times before you’re rolling perfect blunts. Once you’ve mastered rolling a joint you can try rolling other types of joints such as a cone or a tulip.

How Long Does Weed Stay In Your System
How Long Does Weed Stay in Your System?
Do you know how long one hit of weed stay in your system? How long does edible weed stay in your system? These are the common questions many people ask after consuming weed products. Who wants to know how long does weed really stay in your system. First off, it’s important to note that it isn’t actually weed that stays in your system when you smoke it or eat it. It’s actually tetrahydrocannabinol, or commonly known as THC. That is the substance that remains in your system when you use marijuana products.
So how long is THC in your system then? Well this depends. Are you smoking a joint or eating brownies? Do you smoke once a day or once a month? Will you test for weed by urine or blood? There is no simple answer to these questions but this post has examined many medical and non-medical articles on the web to help simplify and summarize the factors that help determine this. We will also go over the four methods to test for weed in your system.
via GIPHY
Factors That Influence Detection Times
1. How You Consume Marijuana
The two most common ways people use marijuana products are by smoking the cannabis or physically eating products containing THC. This plays a big part in determining how long THC stays in your system.
Smoking weed will cause THC to be absorbed by your body a lot faster since it enters your bloodstream through inhaling in your lungs. After a couple hours in your body, it will slowly start to exit it from your system. Whereas if you ingest weed through edible products. Your body now has to wait for the food to go slowly through your digestive system. Once inside your stomach, it’s a longer process for your body to break down the weed and eventually exit like any other food. One must understand the differences in these processes to get a better understanding of when they might consider using weed to judge how long the effect may last.
2. The Amount of Weed You Consume At One Time
How much THC products you consume in one session or a day will affect how long the weed will remain in your system. Think of the analogy of drinking alcohol. You are more likely to show higher alcohol content in your blood if you were to drink five shots of alcohol versus drinking one shot. This applies exactly to THC in your body. Consuming higher doses of THC in one session will mean it takes longer for the THC to exit your body. This also applies to frequency. If you were to smoke weed every day. You are more likely to test positive for weed than a person who only smokes weed on Friday and took the same test.
3. Body Fat
Do leaner people get rid of weed out of their system quicker than obese people? The answer is YES. THC is actually stored in a person’s body fat. This means people who have higher body fat will likely show weed in their system for a longer period of time than skinnier people. Also, people who exercise more, actually dissolve THC from their system quicker because they break down fat and tend to have lower body fat. Studies suggested that if you want to lower your chance of testing positive for marijuana then eat less fatty food, exercise and stay hydrated.
Ways to Test for Weed in Your Body
Have you ever wondered how long weed stays in your system for a urine test? What about a saliva test? There are multiple common methods for testing if THC is your body. Each test will produce different results. Below are estimates based on research on the web.
How Long Does Marijuana Stay in Urine?
The urine test is the most common method for seeing if marijuana is in your body. It is very straight forward where you’ll urinate in a cup and submit for testing. Detection is based on how often you smoke weed a week. For moderate smokers (a few times a week) weed can be seen in your body for up to 3 days. More frequent users can test positive for weed up to 7 to 30 days.
How Long Does Weed Stay in Saliva?
If you’ve ever been pulled over by a police officer and tested for weed, then it has probably been by a saliva test. After you smoke weed, THC will remain inside your mouth. During a saliva test a Q-tip will be used to swab the inside of your mouth for saliva. Most articles suggest that a saliva test can detect THC for up to 24 hours after last use. Some have even argued for chronic smokers that it can be detected up to 72 hours after last use.
How Long Does THC Stay in Blood?
The blood test is a less common way for detecting if weed is in your body since blood tests only have a limited time period for being effective. This is because THC will leave your bloodstream much faster than say your urine. Like any blood test, they will extract several vials of blood from your body. Some articles have suggested weed can only be detected in your blood up to several hours to several days from last use.
How Long Does THC Stay in Hair?
The hair test is another less frequent tool for seeing if THC is in your body. When you use marijuana products, they will enter your bloodstream and reach your hair follicles. During this test, a small amount of hair will be removed from your head. Most articles have concluded through this testing that weed can be detected in your system for up to 90 days. Also, this method is only effective for chronic and everyday users of weed.
Can Secondhand Weed Stay in Your System?
Will you fail a drug test if you inhale secondhand weed? This is the million dollar question people ask when they’re around their friends who smoke weed. After reviewing several academic articles, the short answer is NO. The testing methods above would not detect weed in your system even if your friend lights up a joint and blows smoke in your face.
This doesn’t mean no THC is in your body but rather the amount is minuscule and not enough for you to test positive. Research suggests you would need to be in a hotbox for several hours with very limited ventilation in order for you to test positive for weed. One article looked at a person sitting in a weed café for several hours and inhaling the air in there and still managed to test negative for weed. Of course, the best way to ensure you won’t fail a test is to not put yourself in a situation where people are using weed products around you.
How To Pass The Marijuana Test
Exercise
Metabolites are stored on your own body fat, you are able to remove them easily by diffusion. Physical exercise releases dormant THC from stored fat and accelerates the procedure of removing bud from the human entire body.
Healthy Diet
Preventing salty, fatty and sweet foods is just another process to flush out weed from your system. These slow down your metabolism and extend the excretion of both THC and metabolites out of the human entire body.
Abstinence
The best means to eliminate marijuana from the system is abstinence. Your body has natural detoxifying skills. Hence, the body is able to only flush out cannabis in the long term. To guarantee that, an individual ought to abstain from smoking or using marijuana as it simply defeats the purpose of relying upon the human body’s natural filtering capability to eliminate its metabolites.
Drinking Water
Drinking more than eight glasses assists with the pure detox procedure. You can flush weed out by drinking considerable quantities of water because this helps in expelling toxins in the body. Toxic bodily fluids using a cleaner alternative.
Using CBD as an Alternative
When it comes to marijuana, drug tests typically only screen for THC — the compound in cannabis that gets you “high” — or one of the compounds created when your body metabolizes it. And by law CBD products can only contain up to 0.3% THC.
Different types of drug tests have different detection thresholds, but the type you’re most likely to encounter is the “pee test.” To pass a urine drug test, the amount of THC in your body must be below 50 ng/mL To hit 50 ng/mL of THC, you’d probably have to consume upwards of 2,000 mg of CBD products that contain 0.3% or less of THC, which is much higher than the average person is likely to take. Even in clinical trials and research studies, people are usually only administered 100-800mg/day.
CBD is known to treat various conditions and symptoms such as pain, anxiety and can even be a seizure suppressant. You can read about this information in our blog CBD For Pain. On Weed-deals.ca, you can purchase quality CBD products such as Brimly’s Botanicals CBD Elixir or CBD Isolate.
Conclusion
There isn’t a simple rule of thumb for how long weed will remain in your system and it depends on a variety of factors discussed above. The way you test for if marijuana is in your body will also determine if THC shows up in your body. Therefore, if you know you are going to take a test to screen for weed in your system, make sure you know what kind of test they will be using on you and remember the last day you consumed any marijuana product.

THC Benefits By: Lavendersasquatch
THC Benefits
THC is not just for getting high anymore. More and more people are turning to products containing THC to help with a wide array of mental and physical ailments. We know CBD is good for pain but why is THC becoming more popular?
THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol, the chemical compound found in marijuana that gives you that euphoric high. Our body has a natural endocannabinoid system and there are receptors in our brain that the THC attaches to and activates, causing those feelings of pleasure, joy and euphoria.
These feelings are what users are looking for when treating various issues, especially those treating mental health problems.
You can microdose to reap the benefits without getting high, or you can smoke a giant joint and enjoy the day pain free and in a jolly mood (that’s my favourite way).
6 THC Benefits
#1 Headache treatment
We’ve all been there. Your head is pounding, the dog is barking, the kids are screeching, and someone is mowing their lawn loudly outside. Or maybe you’re at work and you’re annoying co-worker Linda won’t shut up about her cats, and someone is typing EXTREMELY loud on their keyboard.
Instead of crawling into bed and popping tylenol, why not take a quick smoke break or pop an edible. Blue Dream and Jack Herer are known to help lessen the intensity of your headache, or even take it away!  SO put the tylenol down and try some weeds in place.
Other strains to try to help your headaches are:
Blue Dream
Northern Lights
Sour Diesel
THC Benefits #2 Treating Anxiety
The relationship between cannabis and anxiety is a rocky one but if you know what strain you’re smoking and what to avoid that will trigger your anxiety, cannabis can be a super beneficial tool to help manage anxiety symptoms. I personally am able to stay on a low dose anxiety medication thanks to cannabis.
The thing to look for when trying different strains is the effects. High THC strains that are indica dominant can be safe, whereas strains that are sativa can be risky as sativas are more of a head high.
A high CBD strain such as Charlotte’s Web is a good start. Another good strain is Girl Scout Cookies and Granddaddy Purple. Finding a strain that helps you mellow out is the best. I like being able to focus thanks to cannabis and not have my mind racing a mile a minute.
#3 Sleep disorders
Another THC benefit is that it’s the best for sleep problems! Whether it’s trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, THC can help depending on what course of action you take. Edibles are your best course of action because they last the longest in your system.
Edibles take about 30-90 minutes to kick in and can last up to 8 hours depending on dosage, your body and tolerance. This is optional for sleep. I personally should take this advice and get some indica edibles made to help me sleep at night better!  Some strains that are amazing for putting you to sleep are:
Death Bubba
El Jefe
Rockstar Kush
All these strains can be found on Weed-deals in the indica section! They’re well worth trying to help you fall asleep peacefully at night.
#4 Depression
Did you know 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health problem or illness?  Depression can affect anyone, it doesn’t matter your age, relationship status, income or culture.
Another THC benefit is helping combat depression. It cannot cure it but it can be an aid in helping make your daily life a lot easier to manage. I have personally experienced depression and it’s hard to bring yourself out of a dark place. Cannabis is like a little ray of sunshine and can help you relax and cheer up.
When it comes to picking a strain to help, you need to look beyond the THC content and at the terpene profile. You can read about terpenes and their benefits in a previous blog “What Are Terpenes And Why Are They So Popular?” written by yours truly.
As I was saying, the terpenes limonene is great for uplifting your mood, and pinine is good for focus!
Strains high in these terpenese are:
Jack Herer
Pineapple Express
Gorilla Glue #4
All these strains can be found at Weed-deals.ca. You can mix and match to create your own ounce so you can find the best strain for you. This is such a cool thing because a lot of mail order sites don’t do this. Just another perk of ordering from Weed-deals.
THC Benefits #5 PMS
Periods are no joke, up to 80% of women experience some form of discomfort, pain, or annoying symptoms before they even begin to shed their uterine lining each month! Symptoms include but are not limited to back aches, mood swings, headaches, swelling, nausea, vomiting, bloating, fatigue, sadness, night sweats, tender breasts and cramps.
20-30% of these symptoms fall under PMS which stands for Premenstrual syndrome.
You don’t even need to smoke cannabis to reap the benefits of using weed to help your annoying aunt Flo. We have so many options this day and age. From concentrates, edibles, and of course flower.
Weed-deals has awesome strains for PMS, that i’ve personally used and love!
My top 3 are;
Purple OG Kush
Bruce Banner
Blue Dream
THC Benefits #6 Weight loss
Typically when you think of cannabis, you think of being lazy and the munchies. However, more and more people are turning to cannabis to give them that extra boost to get through their daily exercise regime!  Athletes microdose with cannabis to help them focus and relax their muscles before working out, this allows them to reap the benefits of cannabis, without the “high” feeling. Thus promoting a better work out and giving better training results.
There are also strains that will suppress your appetite, rather than make you want to reach for the fridge. Some strains that are good for this are:
Girl Scout Cookies
Green Crack
Durban Poison
Conclusion
THC is not just for getting high! It can help a wide array of issues and health disorders. From pain, to mental health, to becoming  a healthier version of you. THC is vast and an amazing cannabinoid you should add to your daily routine. Whether it’s microdosing throughout the day, or hitting the bong like Cheech and Chong all night, THC has got your back.

CBD For Pain: Lavendersasquatch
CBD For Pain
Cannabidiol is the newest but oldest miracle plant that’s been around for thousands of years. Recently, it’s gotten more hype with the legalization of recreational cannabis in October 2018.
As we approach the second phase of legal recreational cannabis in Canada. We will be seeing edibles, vape pens and concentrates coming to the market. These items have been available for years in the grey market of cannabis in Canada. However, now the government in reaping the profits cannabis brings in.
CBD Oil
CBD oil is the item that is in high demand, every legal recreational store cannot keep it in stock due to high demand. More and more people of the older generation are begging for CBD to help treat their arthritis and pain.  It’s  a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the marijuana plant. After thc, CBD is the second most predominant cannabinoid found in weed. It can be sourced from weed and from hemp!
CBD oil known to treat an array of conditions and symptoms such as pain, anxiety, and it can be a seizure suppressant.
CBD For Chronic Pain
I’ve recently started dabbling into CBD more. I was aware of the benefits but didn’t begin to reap them until last year. Start out with a high CBD flower. Weed-Deals has high CBD strains in stock from time to time and they’re well worth trying.
I suffer from chronic pain from a previous knee injury and have wicked PMS. Ever since I introduced CBD into my life,  I’ve rarely felt the need for Tylenol or any other pain medication. CBD doesn’t get you “high” but it relaxes you and suppresses the pain.
Cannabidiol is known for its amazing abilities to bring down inflammation from pain and arthritis .
CBD For Pain & Inflammation
Oil and CBD topicals will be your best course of action. Though everyone reacts differently and this purely based on what works for me and a survey of my friends and instagram followers.  A lot of people automatically said CBD is what they use for pain even before they reach for the THC.
Cannabidiol is non intoxicating so it can be used during the day to ease your pain.  Inflammatory pain is vast and includes all forms of arthritis, some autoimmune diseases such as chrons and other digestive issues, that cause spasms and pain. Simple conditions include heachades , pms, aches from exercise and work.
What’s great about CBD also is that it works without the risk of damaging your liver, heart, or cause gastrointestinal issues. As the demand for CBD increases , the research into CBD goes up.
CBD & Athletes
Athletes are turning to CBD to help aid in recovery after working out to reduce inflammation and give them the relief without the harmful effects of repetitive use of pain medication
There are new reports stating that CBD is up 20 times more effective and potent when it comes to anti-inflammatory magic than NSAIDs such as ibuprofen.  More and more people are becoming more health conscious and realizing that pain pills aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.
Personally i cannot take them unless it is 100% necessary and I’ve tried everything.  Due to excessive use of painkillers , I have ulcers that can get irritated so CBD saves my stomach.
Topicals
What about topicals ? How do those work?
Topicals are amazing. How cool is it that you can put a cream on you and it helps pain? Or you can bathe in a bath soak or with an infused bath bomb. You can even get transdermal patches infused with Cannabidiol that secrete CBD into your skin over a 24 hour time frame.
I use CBD topicals almost daily.   I use creams for pain on my knee or my lower back pain. They do help ease the pain but they are not a cureall .  Infused bath products are amazing! Hot baths are typically soothing but when you add in a CBD infused bath bomb and soak for 30 minutes or more. Your body absorbs the CBD and relaxes those sore aching body parts of yours. This is awesome for lulling yourself to sleep after a strenuous day.
CBD Research
As CBD research increases and the market expands , we are left with so many options as to what we can use for CBD to help pain. Whether it be a high CBD strain of dried flower, CBD oil, CBD topicals, CBD vape pens, or so on. CBD is the next big thing. There’s a reason why you’re seeing it everywhere and why your grandma and uncle are jumping on the CBD bandwagon.
How cool is that you can take a plant based medicine with no bad side effects that actually works. When looking for a CBD product to help you. Look for products sourced in Canada. We have options of hemp derived CBD and full spectrum CBD derived from the marijuana plant. When choosing a CBD canadian sourced hemp or cannabis is your best and safest bet!
Health Canada Regulations
Canada has regulations in place to protect us from bad products. It does still happen but most CBD products are tested in a health Canada approved lab. When you buy CBD sourced from other countries, you’re risking ingesting contaminated CBD. Other countries use harsh pesticide and can have mold on their plants. This is not safe and not fit for human consumption. Be aware of where your CBD comes from !
Where To Buy CBD?
I’ve been using the CBD oil that Weed-Deals carries and it is effective for pain!  Unfortunately, I fell off the deck last week and sustained a severe sprain. It was bad enough that Ihad to go to the emergency room for x-rays and to get splint put on by a doctor.  The CBD helped ease the pain and helped me sleep while dealing swelling. Weed-Deals also carries a CBD isolate you can buy to add to your bowls or you can infuse your own bath products, or make your own CBD oil!
Conclusion
If you’re looking to ditch the tylenol and try a more natural method of pain relief without the high, CBD is for you. There’s a reason why the government stores cannot keep up with the demand as more people realize the amazing benefits that CBD has on pain.
Living in Canada we have the online market who know the CBD game well and give us access to quality products for affordable prices.
Let me know how CBD helps you in the comments.
As always, Stay groovy, Stay Medicated.
