whenever someone calls USAmerican English the 'movie accent' I remember how somewhere last year I was on a train when suddenly the silence was broken by an american voice behind me somewhere and I immediately thought "Oh no, someones playing their tiktoks out loud again" and automatically turned around to put a face to my annoyance like you do when someones driving bad, and turns out a few rows down were just some actual in the flesh USAmericans having a nice conversation amongst themselves. i'm seeing people losing hope for palestine i'm begging you seriously please don't. the death toll is high but there are still people alive, there are still journalists risking everything to make sure the world sees what is happening. please continue protesting if you have the option to, keep demanding for a ceasefire and keep talking about palestinians both alive and dead. you have to keep going until the very end or else you really did fail them.

i want to highlight some of different pro palestine actions happened at the macy’s thanksgiving day parade.

let’s get started with a group of climate activists that super glued their hands to the concrete on 6th avenue, which is a key point on the parade route:

another group that made some noise and staged a sit-in were the writers against the war on gaza:

the mashpee wampanoe tribe of massachusetts had a member of their tribe lifting a palestinian flag on their float. this action noticeably made it onto national broadcasts of the parade:

and amogst all the planned disruptions were people in the crowds simply taking advantage of the visibility of this parade to make support known:

really glad that I have curated my fandom experience such that every time I see a post complaining about the rampant demonization or hatred of a female character I don't even know who they could possibly be referring to because my dash is 100% support for women's wrongs. I cannot think of the last time I saw a condemnation of a fictional woman even though I am assured that it is happening somewhere. on my dash a woman can literally eat people and the whole chat will still stan her
