When I say this era is the best the show has ever looked, I don't just mean because of the direction and cinematography, both of which are excellent. It's also also because of the amazing production design, the great costuming, the excellent lighting, all of which comes together with the direction and cinematography to create some absolutely cracking visuals.

Ten and Donna end up on a fucked up deadly space newlyweds show despite uh. Not being newlyweds but they get almost all the questions right. They start to sweat when the final question is "what's one secret desire you have involving the other?" And Donna writes "sometimes I wish I could occasionally shrink down the doctor real small so I could carry him around in my pocket and make sure he doesn't get lost' while Ten writes "sometimes I wish I was small enough that Donna could carry me around in like a cat backpack or maybe a shirt pocket" and they look at each other like AYYYYYY because not only are they deeply drift compatible they're also fuckin weird about it 💖

No no no, if I trust anyone to deal with the consequences of that revelation it’s RTD. Cause that revelation should have turned the doctors world on it’s head, and now RTD can deal with it properly.

All those people hoping RTD was gonna retcon The Timeless Child are gonna be REALLY disappointed.....

I was personally hoping that it just wouldn't be brought up ever again similar to the "half human on my mother's side" thing from the 1996 TV movie....oh well.

I love that the Tardis is the Doctors loved one. Like, Donna gets to talk about her family and how time will pass for them, and when it gets to the Doctor, his family IS the Tardis. She’s all he has left.

It made me think again of how much the lore has changed since RTD. I mean, the Tardis was certainly alive back in his initial era, sure, but Moffat’s “the Doctor’s Wife” humanized her. And now RTD gets to write with a machine that isn’t just vaguely alive, but who we now know as a creature, with thoughts and feelings and opinions on things. She isn’t just his ship, she’s his friend, his family, his longest companion whose been with him through everything’s.

FakeTenThree is oddly kind but still ominous and FakeDonna in a similar manner sounds kind but IS IMMEDIATELY CREEPIER knowing that she's fake vs not knowing with TenThree earlier.

It's also odd that both Actual Donna and TenThree are talking about time passing for their loved ones/things while they stay here. Is it intentional influence on the dopplegangers' part or coincidence? Hmm

That is one thing one ecstatic about for next season. I cannot WAIT to see Jackie as a part of the regular cast. I was so excited to see her on the ship.

I LOVE that Jackie joins the crew in the end. First: I love her, she is one of my favorite badass characters and Leslie Jones plays her so fucking well. But I gotta say, I don't think she gets the love she deserves on here. Why is that? Let's start a Spanish Jackie thread.
