This is an example of the diligence of a transplant patient preparing for regularly taking medication for 3 weeks during a trip. It is absolutely important to take medications on time with no exceptions or excuses. Doesn’t matter if you are at home, at work or on a trip. Rejection respects no person. Take your medication wherever you go. Just like you would take some money or car keys or your purse or wallet, take your medication with you. Set up an alarm that reminds you it is time to take your medicine. You can set up an alarm on your phone or your watch. Take this requirement seriously because even though transplant greatly improves life, you can end up back on dialysis or die if you do not take good care of the transplant which includes taking medication on time, doing regular tests to see early signs of a problem and seeing your doctor to check on the health of the transplant. That’s how you get to live with a transplant for many years.

Myths and Truths about Covid-19 1. I can get COVID-19 from the COVID-19 vaccine. NOT TRUE! None of the authorized and recommended COVID-19 vaccines approved in the United States or United Kingdom contain the live virus that causes COVID-19. This means that a COVID-19 vaccine cannot make you sick with COVID-19. 2. I’ve already had COVID-19, so I don’t need to get a vaccine. NOT TRUE!! Due to the severe health risks associated with COVID-19 and the fact that re-infection with COVID-19 is possible, you should get the vaccine even if you’ve already had COVID-19. At this time, experts do not know how long someone is protected from getting sick again after recovering from COVID-19. The immunity someone gains from having had COVID-19, called natural immunity, varies from person to person. Natural immunity may not last very long. 3. The COVID-19 vaccine will change my DNA. NOT TRUE!! The vaccines that are currently available and approved for adults in the United States or UK, do not change or interact with your DNA in any way. None of the ingredients in a COVID-19 vaccine enters the nucleus of the cell, which is where our DNA is kept. This means the vaccine cannot affect or interact with your DNA in any way. Instead, the vaccines work with your body’s natural defenses to safely develop immunity to disease. (at Ikeja G.R.A, Ikeja) https://www.instagram.com/p/CN2bvgmlW0F/?igshid=niu870k1grpl

The Kidney and Pregnancy
The Kidney and Pregnancy
This is a particularly important topic because of the societal pressures and premium often given to having children, frequently at the risk of the life and health of the mother. This goal of this post is not to substitute for the professional services of the doctor/obstetrician who must be seen early and often during pregnancy but to empower patients during pregnancy so that they are aware of…

We were pleasantly surprised to randomly find Kidneysolutions on this listing of the 4 best kidney centers in Nigeria. Important to note that they did not say “dialysis center” but “kidney center”. Means that we don’t just offer dialysis but a range of options depending on the severity of disease including restoration to health. It’s not about size or what glitters but the professionals, their level of expertise and their commitment to patients facing difficult circumstances that matters most. #KidneySolutionsLagos https://ranksng.com/best-kidney-centres-in-nigeria/ (at Ikeja Lagos) https://www.instagram.com/p/CE24TztFGVs/?igshid=2w06aqv3ngiv
