Moving Sites

I will be moving my translation notes over to my own website, blah honyaku.kiichan.space. There’s not much rhyme or reason for this, I just want to.

I’ll likely post chapter releases here still and bigger announcements, but my general notes and announcements will be posted there from now on.

The translation for Chapter 7, much to my surprise, is already done. There will be a somewhat short page of translator’s notes at the end of the chapter because there was something that didn’t translate into English very well. Aside from that, everything went quite smoothly despite me taking a day off after I uploaded chapter 6, and i’m quite happy of the progress I made.

Unfortunately, being an expecdable essential employee, I will be once again working through the nights for the next two weeks starting tonight. What that means is that I’ll only be able to put in 4 hours of work per day at maximum on translating chapter 8 as opposed to the like 8-12 I’ve been doing this past week. Long story short, I would not expect the weekly release schedule as of late to continue into chapter 8.

I will likely be taking another day or two to work ahead on the translation for chapter 8 before I start the editing process. If I decide to stream that, it will be after I’ve gotten home and rested a bit, so likely 3 hours max starting at ~0800 CDT Monday or Tuesday.  I would guess that chapter 7 will be ready to upload come Wednesday or Thursday, but that’s all speculation. If I am too exhausted, or if there is coverage needed at work, the schedule will only be pushed back further.

... Alright, and with that I’ve finished the translation for 6 of the 14 pages in chapter 7 of BokuWata (on top of being a shorter chapter, there are no extra pages this time). Of the remaining 8 pages, only two of them seem like they’re going to take significant time to translate. I’m certainly in a comfortable position to return back to chapter 6 and start the editing procecss.

I think I’m going to take a bit of a break for the rest of the day, and I’ll probably set up an editing stream first thing when I wake up tonight. I’m both excited and sad to be nearing the end of this project!
